Sophian Circle Leader/ Radford Virginia
Brooke Wood's search for answers began at a young age with her yearning to experience and understand God. Her desire led her to join the church at the age of 11 and to her first mystical experience at the age of 13.
Earning a bachelors in English literature and masters in American literature, she taught in a Christian school affiliated with a children's home and later taught college students. She has also worked as a newspaper editor and currently works as a technical services rep for a satellite communications company.
Her spiritual journey was renewed in recent years, and new doors of understanding and fulfillment began opening up for her as she began practicing meditation and studying esoteric Christianity. Her study of the Kabbalah and the living Sophian Gnostic tradition led to her decision to form a study group affiliated with Ecclesia Pistis Sophia. Originally under the guidance of Brother Michael+, a Sophian priest and elder, she started circles in Radford and Fredericksburg, Va. She has continued her studies with +Tau Malachi, a Gnostic bishop and founder of Ecclesia Pistis Sophia. She now teaches classes on the Kabbalah and Christian Gnosticism.
"The Last Supper" and "Neshamah Rising," which appear at Sophia Agape Circle's website, are photographs of paintings by her husband, British artist and wall decorator Peter Wood, who is also integral to the work. They live in Radford, Virginia.
