Partzufim—Elohim

#1 Postby Elder Gideon » Mon Jan 02, 2017 8:21 pm

Shalom Tau Malachi!

Blessings and Grace! With Ma's help, perhaps she'll unfold a deep mystery!

I've long enjoyed the contemplation of the partzufim symbolized by the letters of the Tetragramaton YHVH

י The tip of the Yod corresponds to Adam Kadmon; the body of the Yod to Abba, the Father.
ה The first Heh corresponds to Imma, the Mother.
ו The Vav corresponds to Ben, the Son.
ה The final Heh corresponds to Nukva, the Female.

To these four Hebrew letters in the Great Name also correspond respectively to Supernal elements like space, fire, water, air, and earth, and the olamot-universes Adam Kadmon, Atzilut, Beriyah, Yetzirah, and Asiyah.

While I've been exposed many years ago to a parallel mystery of the partzufim symbolized by the letters of the Divine Name Elohim, it's time I pushed on this and open it for discussion. The mysteries of these letters are not exactly meaning the same as they hold on their own, for the mysteries of their corresponding partzufim suggest other meanings vital for a deeper dimensionality of their Kabbalah.

א Arik Anpin
ל Abba
ה Imma
י Zer Anpin
ם Kallah

Arik Anpin, the Great Face, is also called the Long-Tempered One. This partzuf is beyond any gender metaphors by which one attempts to describe the dynamic of the Supernal Father-Mother. I've heard an analogy to this dimension of Keter personified by Arik Anpin as the sight of the Divine of this entire cosmic cycle as a single now. Truly Great is this Spirit, symbolized by Alef, spelling Ain Sof, beyond all conceptions whatsoever.

Abba, Reshit—the Beginning—is the point that the Kabbalah says we cannot inquire. Inseparable from Keter, all of the potential and what you've called the "Living Essences" of the Father are an inexhaustible spring bursting forth. There is no containing this force for what causes to live and grow. Life cannot be destroyed. You've described this dimension of Lamed symbolizing Abba as not prodding or goading, but innate, built-in to everything that is. He is Grace.

Imma again is the mystery of what opens as a window—ה. Receiving all of the force of this potential, she begins delineating, sequencing, and structuring the processes of every context by which all interdependent phenomena actually develop, change, evolve, and manifest. She is the Law. Rabbis say we can inquire of Her, but we should not expect an answer. It is elegant that this is the only letter that exactly mirrors Imma in both mysteries of partzufim as YHVH and Elohim.

Zer Anpin takes on another dimension as Yod, for he is also called the Short-Tempered One. Given the range of sefirot of Hesed to Yesod which are his extremities, one can see how much nearer in our experience the swiftly changing faces of Mercy, Judgment, Compassion, Dominion, Submission, and Reciprocity really are throughout the world at any given moment. Yod is an intensely concentrated symbol of the Messiah manifest, for this most essential letter implies all faces of all sefirot of Tree of Life.

Kallah is more than Nukva, for She is all of this fullness realized and embodied in the Messiah: the Bride. We'll remember that Mem is primordial water, even consciousness itself. Before the coming of Messiah, Mem was open, so to speak, in eager longing : Kaleh. When one encounters and lives according to the truth of their desires, nothing else compares: They are sealed, complete, Kalah, as Mem-final, the symbol of the World-to-Come. But when consciousness turns against the truth, gives its light-power to archons and even demons, one is as the open Mem entering into End-of-Days, destruction—Kalah.

This is but the beginning of other details within these particular Hebrew letters symbolizing the partzufim as Elohim. I very much hope it opens new terrain for us as a community of practitioners and companions. There's so much more here to learn!

Alef of Elohim: Arik Anpin

#2 Postby Elder Gideon » Thu Feb 23, 2017 10:45 am

Shalom Tau Malachi:

Within the letters spelling Elohim are sub-letters which Mekubalim also contemplate for greater detail and intricacy. Here, we'll consider Alef for the letter-syllables it spells: Alef-Lamed-Peh final.

We'll recall that Alef of Elohim corresponds to: Arik Anpin: the Great Face: the Infinite and Eternal: the Long-Tempered One who sees neither past nor future but only now.

Alef is also a composite letter made of a Yod, a Vav, and another Yod, by which Mekubalim interpret a union held between the two Yods by the Vav. In this Alef is the union of the upper and lower worlds. Going further within this context of Alef spelling Elohim, where Alef is a sign for Arik Anpin, the Lower Yod of Alef suggests Arik Anpin and by Vav joins with the Upper Yod, its crowning, inmost partzuf: the Ancient of Days—Atik Yomin. In this way, the partzuf letter Alef in the name Elohim holds a potential double-contemplation of both the Great Face and the Ancient of Days, mediated by Vav, all within Alef.

Alef is the most essential Hebrew letter. In this context, you spoke of Alef as the force within everything driving towards the realization of the Eternal. The letters spelling ALeF—Alef-Lamed-Peh—narrate this very mystery. You’ve taught that Lamed is the force for evolution, goading all towards the Eternal. Alef and Lamed together form both the Divine Name EL and the essence of the liberative mercy manifest as all movements personified by the archangelic Powers whose names end with El. ALeF’s final letter Peh, mouth, depicts the means by which this goading force becomes intelligible through speech; Peh-final is even understood by mekubalim as a speaking mouth. Peh is also composite letter made by a Kaf and a Yod, the significance of which seems to foreshadow the reaching of other partzufim, such as Abba, Imma, and Zer Anpin, which will be explored further below.

To sum: Alef of Elohim as a partzuf-sign of Arik Anpin holds within it an internal contemplation of an uppper Yod as the ten sefirot of Atik Yomin joined by a Vav to a lower Yod as the ten sefirot of Arik Anpin. With Alef is the concealed power of EL, who speaks.

While I recognize that partzufim aren't separate in any way, that Mekubalim are merely emphasizing something specific of Divine Being through these personifications, I am fascinated by the emphasis towards Arik Anpin in Alef of Elohim, compared with the emphasis toward Adam Kadmon in the tip of the Yod of YHVH. These two Divine Names, YHVH and Elohim, are saying something about inmost partzufim I've not appreciated before.

May souls come to rest in the vision of the Long-Tempered One.

Lamed of Elohim: Abba

#3 Postby Elder Gideon » Thu Feb 23, 2017 11:02 am

Shalom Tau Malachi:

We'll recall that in the center of ALeF is Lamed, forming a very smooth transition then to the next partzuf-letter in Elohim. Going further with the letters representing partzufim in the Elohim, let us consider Lamed for the letter-syllables it spells: Lamed-Mem-Dalet

Lamed is also a composite letter, made of a Kaf with a Vav on top. The Vav on top suggests the partzuf-letter for Son of YHVH, yet concealed in all that the Father holds as Kaf. In light of Lamed as a partzuf letter representing the Father, Abba, I hear how Alef and Lamed work respectively together as the intention and instruction of revelation to bring souls back to a conscious union with the Eternal.

You often speak of the living essences of the Father. I've understood these to be something you said of "the innate purity bursting forth from the very beginning within beings." It is by this purity, this Divine nature hidden within beings by which All-Merciful Father compels souls and draws them back to Himself. This draw is built-in to us, is our inmost essence, our living essence by which we consciously return. Lamed as a sign for Abba is this inescapable, goading desire to return.

The spelling of LaMeD—Lamed-Mem-Dalet—contributes other insights and transitions in this partzuf’s reaching as Imma and Kallah. What Lamed goads and directs is Mem—consciousness—towards the Dalet—the door. Like Lamed, Mem is a composite of Kav and Vav and enumerates 26, conducting the force of YHVH. Like Vav above the Kaf composing Lamed, Mem is hidden in the spelling of LaMeD; she will take her closed form as Kallah, the final partzuf-letter of Elohim. Dalet, the door, foreshadows the reaching of other partzufim like Imma and Zer Anpin, which we can explore further below.

May we awaken to our innate goodness as the way of our return to the Father.

He of Elohim: Imma

#4 Postby Elder Gideon » Thu Feb 23, 2017 11:12 am

Shalom Tau Malachi:

Having suggested Alef and Lamed of Elohim, which themselves are the Divine Name EL within Elohim, it is necessary to consider the window space through which true knowledge is born: Heh: Mother Imma.

To have ventured into letters within letters is for the points that soon follow, all woven by Imma; here is where many layers of the letters and spellings of partzuf-letters Alef and Lamed begin to intersect in very dynamic, surprising ways. Heh is composed of the letters Dalet and Yod and is spelled variously as Heh-Yod, Heh-Heh, or Heh-Alef, all with their own discrete contemplations. Being the same partzuf-letter for Imma and Nukva in YHVH, what comes to new life of Heh exclusively as the partzuf letter in Elohim is opened by Heh’s composite letters and spelling.

Feel, for example, the overlap now of the meaning of the partzuf-letter for Abba as LaMeD in its final letter Dalet. Imma may certainly be contemplated as the door, the dalet, towards which His intention and instruction is goading and guiding souls. Dalet and Yod are the composite letters of Heh. Dalet—spelled Dalet-Lamed-Tav—is very much parallel with the spelling of Lamed as it shares the same two letters. Dalet’s final letter Tav reminds of whom the soul finds in Imma’s door—Yod—who is the reaching of Imma as the next partzuf-letter of Elohim.

The various spellings of Heh—Heh-Yod, Heh-Heh, or Heh-Alef—suggest myriad teachings of this partzuf Imma. Heh Yod are the reversal of the Divine Name Yod-Heh of the partzuf-sefirah Hokmah: Abba. Heh-Heh suggest the inseparability of Upper and Lower Shekinah as partzuf letters of YHVH. Heh-Alef describes the Wind of God brooding over the matrix, the Spirit of Messiah about to speak the First Utterance, Let there be—Yehi—Light!

May we remember we are woven of everything we are not.

Yod of Elohim: Zer Anpin

#5 Postby Elder Gideon » Thu Feb 23, 2017 11:28 am

Shalom Tau Malachi:

What the Heh of Elohim births we may know as Yod—Zer Anpin—who is the Little Face: the Short-Tempered One flickering in mercy, severity, compassion.

Yod is composed of itself and is spelled Yod-Vav-Dalet. Being the partzuf letter for Father in YHVH, Yod is the partzuf letter for Zer Anpin in Elohim. Being uncomprised by other letters, its essence recalls everything said of the two Yod in the partzuf-letter Alef for Arik Anpin and His Crown Atik Yomin, as well as essence of the Law, the single commandment to Love the LORD our God with all of our heart, soul, mind, and strength. This is manifest in our love for another.

Adonai Yeshua is the first to remember and keep all of the commandments. Through his fulfillment of the Law, its essence as the Gospel could pour forth. Take inside this the narrative told by the letters spelling Yod: Yod-Vav-Dalet. Array them vertically and see the revelation of Zer Anpin in a new way: Yod is the revelation of the Supernals; Vav the Six; Dalet the Sovereignty. Feel the allusion to what the Dalet of Yod becomes as the Kallah. As Imma is the Door-dalet of the partzuf-letter for Father in Lamed, and the composite letter with Yod spelling Heh as Imma, so is Kallah the Door-dalet of the partzuf-letter for Son in Yod. Between the Upper and Lower Shekinah as Vav of YHVH, the overlap between final Dalet of Lamed and Yod of Elohim, or most subtly implied between Mem and Mem-final of Elohim, the Son mediates.

Neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 8:38-39).

Mem-final of Elohim: Kallah

#6 Postby Elder Gideon » Thu Feb 23, 2017 11:42 am

Mem final: Kallah

Coming to the final letter Mem of Elohim makes more questions than answers. This is appropriate for the partzuf of this letter: Kallah. She is our experience in liberation or destruction.

Mem is composed of a Kaf and a Vav and is spelled Mem-Mem final. It's open form you once shared with me describes the world apart from Messiah, before the advent of the Messiah; its closed form is the world in the Messiah, because of the Messiah.

Like the letter LaMeD for Abba, Mem’s composed of a Kaf and Vav, equivalent to the Great Name YHVH. Unlike the Lamed, made of a Vav on top of Kaf, Mem is Vav to the left of the Kaf. Mem as the Mother Letter for water suggests consciousness, the fluid vehicle of blood, serum, or pigment, and conductivity. That this letter moves with the full force of YHVH brings an exquisite mystery to light of what becomes of this force of YHVH for souls and matrices that choose or refuse intention and instruction of the Father-Mother.

All souls—the community—are traditionally personified by Kallah. The concealed source of Kallah is Imma. She is Her Mother’s Daughter. As Lower Shekinah, she is the mirror of the Upper Shekinah. The distinction of her dimensions lays in the letters spelling Mem: Mem-Mem final. The first is open while the second is closed, sealed, as in the Hebrew verb to seal, chatam— חָתַם. These two mysteries of open and closed Mem, like the various spellings of Heh, hold myriad teachings. Most relevant of late has been your emphasis to us that we not concern ourselves with the wicked coming to greater power and the folly of this generation of Noah, but that “we sand the gopher wood [of the Ark],” tend the Continuum, hold to the faith, and serve the Light in as many ways as we skillfully can. This is to be sealed, like Mem final, the partzuf-letter of Elohim who gathers us as Her brood under Her wings. This is the World-to-Come.

A garden locked is my sister, my bride,
a garden locked, a fountain sealed (Song of Songs 4:2).
