Mysticism of Qof

#1 Postby Elder Gideon » Fri Nov 11, 2011 2:39 pm

ק
Qof: The back of the head and the number 100.

Greetings!

Jesus said, "If the flesh came into being because of spirit, that is a marvel, but if spirit came into being because of the body, that is a marvel of marvels. (Thomas 29)

The term 'flesh' throughout scripture is understood in our lineage as nefesh behamit, bestial soul, driving the body, the guf, in ways much more like the mammalian past from which it has evolved than much of humankind will comfortably admit. We are still far more like animals than humans. What for centuries divided the animal and human realms--tools--primatologist Jane Goodall bridged, being the first to observe chimpanzees of Gombe, Africa, manipulate modified sticks, inserting them into nests of termites to extract and eat. The similarity between us and chimps is as subjectively undeniable in behaviors rooted in complex emotional, family, and social structures, as it is objectively from the work of the Human Genome Project, confirming that of the same genome, we share 98.6%. I even heard Dr. Goodall herself say that of the same blood type, a human could receive a transfusion from a chimp.

Our own brain, at its base, the medulla oblongata, shares not only all the most vital functions of breathing and heart regulation with all vertebrates, but the same instinctual patterns of the deepest kind. For this reason, being the oldest part of the vertebrate brain, it is called the Reptillian Brain: Survival, dominance, mating. The very shape of the letter ק reminds me of this stem: The כ is the brain, and its stem, the ו, runs below the line, deep into our primeval past, the resistance against which we're still evolving. Heat in the back of the neck and head, Tau Malachi taught me, is a warning of qlippotic assault upon the subtle and physical body.

Of the back of the head, Tau Malachi also has written: "Qof literally means the 'back of the head,' and Nia is a reversal of Ain, 'no-thingness.' The back of the head is associated with previous cycles of the evolution of life – the human DNA, of course, containing the DNA of all life-forms; the principle of 'atavistic resurgence' suggesting that on a psychic and spiritual level we may be able to access the knowledge and power of any life-form, or inwardly, directly experience something of the perceptions of other creatures. An example of atavistic resurgence would be found in shamanic traditions, in which the shaman may call upon and embody animal powers in the Spirit, the most radical expression of which is the legendary capacity of a shaman to actually shape-shift into an animal form."

How light is so deeply hidden within shells and barriers so as to forget itself is the foundation of the mystery of ransom which the Savior came to reveal and redeem. The involution and constriction of infinite light into matter itself certainly participates in the mystery of ק, which Sefer Yetzirah calls Physical Consciousness: "It is called this because it depicts the growth of everything that becomes physical under the system of the spheres [astrology]." Even a scientific understanding of natural growth, like breath, has not been exhausted: physical nature grows and breathes from a metaphysical nature that cannot be named, measured, nor isolated. The scientist and the mystic both are near the source and foundation only when in awe.

Arthur C. Clarke made a visionary metaphor of this overwhelming awe in the screenplay 2001: A Space Odyssey: a monolith appears from nowhere, saying nothing, only transmitting to our earliest primate ancestors an intelligence of infinity from beyond and within our physical consciousness: ק. Around the monolith at first, the primates simply whoop and holler, chattering and dancing, an image Tau Malachi fondly likens religious leaders to Divine Revelation. Then, in what is metaphorically the first epiphanic flash in this life wave, lifting primates from unconscious into conscious evolution, a particular primate recognizes the first tool in a bone. Used advantageously to hunt prey, then to kill competing clans for resources, this singular insight finally touching down upon the primeval earth will catalyze into the human world reaching all the way into deep space, pervaded by the same intelligence of infinity: the ק.

And the Word became flesh and lived among us,
(John 1:14)

The fullness of this Physical Intelligence, this ק, is complete, meaning fruit-bearing, when a finite, physical body is capable of stabilizing and transmitting infinite light. Physicality corresponds to the element Earth, which is perhaps the most mysterious element when we deeply contemplate its correspondence with the direction North and the Light of El, Archangel Uriel. Stars of the night sky of outer space entirely parallel points of nuclei of sub-atomic inner space. From deep within everything, enveloped by everything, is one Light Continuum of infinite gradations: YHVH.

And he was transfigured before them, and his face shone like the sun, and his clothes became dazzling white. (Matthew 17:2)

In the Old Testament, transfiguration occurs only twice with Enoch and Elijah; for Enoch, there's no one to receive, while for Elijah, there is only one to receive. From Adam to Adonai Yeshua, forty-two generational cycles of growth, of ק, are necessary to create the conditions for the full reception and transmission of this infinite light to many, personified by the Holy Bride and her Apostolic Succession.

The necessity for incarnation of Messiah and by Our Lady's promise to reincarnate in woman's form until the time of the Second Coming, is the highest affirmation and upliftment of being here, being physical, for what is actualized below is actualized above, what is accessed by one may be accessed by all. Only when Revelation is embodied, enacted, does it touch down. The reasons for this great power of material actualization are twofold: Realization integrates resistance: "The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak" (Matthew 26.41); rega, the pausal gap before deciding invokes the Divine Will into manifestation: "‘Now my soul is troubled. And what should I say—'Father, save me from this hour'? No, it is for this reason that I have come to this hour." (John 12:27) By these, resistance and rega, Physical Consciousness is a great power.

‘You are worthy to take the scroll
and to open its seals,
for you were slaughtered and by your blood you ransomed for God
saints from every tribe and language and people and nation;
you have made them to be a kingdom and priests serving our God,
and they will reign on earth.’

Amen and amen!

Evolution of the soul

#2 Postby malochim » Sat Nov 12, 2011 2:08 am

Qof/Koof in Qof Shin Tau (Qeshet) as the evolution of the Human One

"Koof is the “back of the head,” and as such implies evolution, which at first is unconscious, but eventually becomes conscious more and more as souls awaken. Basically speaking, Koof represents the growth and development that is the forward motion of evolution, but it also represents a downward and backward pull, and the principle of atavistic resurgence.

Shin is the letter representing the fiery intelligence, the Shekinah and Holy Spirit, and we know that souls are awakened through the gift of the fiery intelligence, the gift that makes a true spiritual human being according to Gnostic masters.

Tau, of course, is the Holy Cross, and represents the Risen Christ or “Omega Point,” the fruition of God’s original intention in creation, the generation of the Human One of Light, the realized image and likeness of Yahweh Elohim.

As it turns out, Shin and Tau joined spell the Name of Seth, the “Great Seth,” or “Son of the Human One,” being a common name for the Messiah – Koof preceding Shin-Tau implies that creative evolution is inspired and guided by this holiness and beauty, and that creative evolution will be redeemed and culminate in this Divine Illumination." - Tau Malachi

My intention with this post is an attempt to clarify for myself the basic concepts of the evolution of soul and the generation of the body of light. Hopefully something more of the process can be drawn out in the discussion to follow.

In the process of Shevirat Ha Kelim (shattering of the vessels) the Olamot are also emanated in a motion of descent and restriction of supernal light. How ever at a certain point in the cosmic cycle there is also a motion of ascent in which the lower Olamot are drawn upwards and are reintegrated into the higher Olamot. Hence Assiyah is drawn up and integrated with Yetzirah; Yetzirah in turn into Beriyah and so forth. In the motion of descent the supernal light is restricted and from Olam to another consciousness moves from unity and simplicity into greater multiplicity and complexity. The movement of ascent is the inverse, from multiplicity and complexity to unity and simplicity. It is as though God is breathing creation in and out of existence, a flickering in and out of the Primordial Ground.

The tikkun (mending/healing) of the human soul is completely interwoven with the tikkun of the Olamot. Humans are multi-dimensional beings spanning the whole of the Entirety into Ain Sof. As such when we mend our own broken vessels and uplift the sparks bound up in darkness and ignorance we also mend the sefirot of the Olamot.

The mending of the Nefesh would correspond to the universe of Assiyah (Adam and Eve after being expelled from the Garden of Eden), Ruach with Yetzirah (Adam and Eve after eating of the Tree of Knowledge), Neshamah with Beriyah (Adam and Eve before the fall), Hayyah with Aztilut (Adam Ha-Rishon, Adam and Eve in one androgynous body) and Yechidah with Adam Kadmon
(Primordial Adam).

“Now, the inmost parts of our soul, yechidah, our unique essence, and hayyah, our life-force or light-power, is drawn from Adam Kadmon and Adam Ha-Rishon, our root essence being drawn from a Sefirah, or configuration of Sefirot, of Atzilut, and as such we each carry specific tikkunim we are meant to bring about, or have a specific supernal and spiritual potential we are meant to actualize and realize. Thus, in effect, we each have our part in the tikkune of the Soul of the Human One, or in the actualization and realization of the Soul of the Human One, which is our spiritual labor and mission as members of the Body of the Risen Messiah, and which is accomplished by the Messiah and Ruach Ha-Kodesh in us. - Tau Malachi"

But for the Human One to be a conscious co-creator that can act on all levels of the Entirety a proper vehicle of consciousness must be evolved on each level/Olam.

On earth the evolution of form takes place in five kingdoms; the mineral, vegetable, animal, human and supernal-human.

Consciousness also goes through the same phases, in the vegetable and animal kingdom the vital and mental consciousness is developed and in the human kingdom most of the evolution is within the development of mental consciousness. It is also within the human kingdom that the next stage/kingdom is initiated and that is the supernal-human kingdom to which Christ or Messianic consciousness is associated.

Within the human kingdom there are also many different gradations of soul. Depending on the level of development souls can be grouped into either bestial-, psychic- (faithful) and spiritual-humankind (elect). Currently a majority of the souls in the human life-wave on earth are progressing in the bestial and psychic groups. Each group are usually also sub-grouped in to 3 groups, a total of 9 groups. The 10th group representing that of supernal mankind which is the first stepping stone in an evolution beyond that which we typically call man. In the current age there is a large influx of young souls into the human kingdom from the animal kingdom, as a counter balance there is also an influx of advanced souls from the elder races. Souls which has progressed far beyond the development of the average human soul in our current time on our planetary system. Such luminous souls come as light bringers, tzaddikim (saints) and maggidim (angels) and educate and raise the consciousness of mankind as well as establish light continuum”’s” and wisdom traditions which acts as vehicles in the enlightenment process. It is through contact with the Light Continuum that the fiery intelligence is sparked and it is this evolutionary force within that will transform us into something more than human, something angelic and divine.

When the soul starts its development in the human kingdom the vital being/nefesh of the soul is still in a bestial state, in this unregenerate state is it referred to as nefesh behamit (bestial soul). Also the human intellect only has access to the lower ruach, as such most thoughts and desires are directed outward towards the world and the ego. There is also a part of nefesh which is directed inwards towards the upper ruach and through its mediation the neshamah. It is through the cultivation of the upper ruach that the nefesh behamit is transformed into nefesh elokit and our vital and mental being is directed inwards, God-wards. It is also through the upper ruach and the transformation of the nefesh that the soul starts to access the neshamah, hayyah and yechidah.

In this process of transformation the fiery intelligence, the serpent power is awakened, uplifted, sublimated and brought into cessation.Through its uplifting it passes through the seven interior stars and completely re-aligns and balances our energetic being. Through this process the five elements which in the ungenerated state are expressed in am impure form are released and reintegrated into the Foundation, arising as pure primordial elements. It is also in this process that the body of light, the solar body of resurrection is generated.

Typically this process is described in the tradition as the eightfold path of initiation, which is described as follows:

Birth – This corresponds to the element of earth and the root star in the subtle body.

Our spiritual birth on the most fundamental level is the dawn of faith, and faith represents the very first gradation of the enlightenment experience, for it is an intuition of the Truth and Light, which invokes the experience of the Truth and Light, and it is the sense of the Mystery the leads us in our Sacred Quest. Faith, itself, is a great mystery, for no one can say why one person has faith and another does not; yet, apart from faith in some form, no one can truly enter the Path to Self-realization. It is akin to our birth in this world in that it comes by way of Divine Providence and is a gift of the Holy Spirit, just as is our birth and life in this world.

In the Holy Gospel we are told that Lord Yeshua was born of the Virgin Mother through Immaculate Conception – which is a metaphor of Spiritual Awakening. The dawn of faith is like a Holy Seed of Light implanted in the womb of the Virgin of Light – our own personality and life-display, and our very bodies, being her womb in which the Light-indweller (Christ) is conceived, gestated and born. From this Immaculate Conception by way of the Mother Spirit all of the cycles of Christian Initiation unfold and we are destined to evolve into the Divine Fullness of Christ as sons and daughters of the Great Seth, the True Light.

(On another level the story of the Virgin Birth is meant to convey that the soul incarnate as Lord Yeshua was Christed before incarnation in this world, and thus points to the mystery of the Order of Melchizedek – the Universal Order of Enlightenment. Here we may say: Divine Wisdom is the Mother of all Enlightened Ones; hence the Gnosis of the Cosmic Christ.)

Baptism – This corresponds to the element of water and to the navel star in the subtle body.

In the Sophian lineage of Gnostic Christianity there is one single Initiation, which assumes an outer and inner form. The outer form, which corresponds to the Exterior Church, is composed of baptism, chrism (anointing) and the wedding feast (holy eucharist). The inner form, which corresponds to the Interior Church, is communicated by living word, radiant holy breath and the laying on of hands. Essentially, the inner form of the Initiation is meant to draw out the energetic dimension of the outer form, and though occurring at two different points in space-time, it is one and the same movement of Divine Grace from the perspective of the eternal realm or Risen Messiah; hence, on single Initiation.

This describes the Initiation of the esoteric Gnostic Apostolic Succession, which is the foundation of the Sophian Tradition of Gnostic Christianity – a vehicle of the Gnostic and Light Transmission that opens the way to direct spiritual and mystical experience of the Living Yeshua, the Risen Savior, and the evolution of the soul to Supernal or Messianic Consciousness. Yet, the nature of the Initiation transcends the external forms that may be used to facilitate it, and may occur apart from anything external. In essence, the True Initiation, represented by “baptism,” from a Gnostic perspective, is the reception of the Light from above and the awakening of the Serpent Power (called “Kundalini” in the East). Thus, in the Holy Gospel we hear of a threefold baptism, of water, fire and Spirit; water represents the reception of the Light from above, fire represents the activation of the Serpent Power (“Fire Snake”), and the Spirit represents the potential state of Divine Illumination (Divine Gnosis) that may transpire when the Serpent Power is integrated, uplifted and redeemed (brought into repose or cessation).

At the outset of the Gnostic Path we seek to consciously open ourselves to the Mother’s Force – the Anointed and Holy Spirit; specifically, we wish to open ourselves to the Light from above, and to welcome and invite the Light-presence (Christ) and Light-power (Holy Spirit) into us and into our lives. We do nothing to force an awaking of the Serpent Power, but rather we learn to wait upon the Spirit of Messiah, and let Divine Grace awaken, uplift and redeem the Serpent Power in due season. Typically speaking, to the extent we open and become sensitive to the Light-presence, and surrender to the Light-presence, the Light-power moves with, in and through us, and the Serpent Power is awakened.

There is a natural Ordeal of Initiation that comes with this Gnostic Baptism – the Temptation. You may recall, following the reception of the Spirit of Messiah, “the Light from above,” Lord Yeshua was driven out into the wilderness of the desert by the Holy Spirit to be tempted by Satan (the Opponent). This represents the spiritual labor to integrate and uplift the Serpent Power and the First Dark Night of the Soul that naturally occurs in this process – quite literally, one undergoes a mystical death and rebirth. Not only is there a temptation to go back to the old and unenlightened life, as though to go back to sleep, but there is also the temptation towards a misuse of psychic and spiritual power for self-gratification and self-aggrandizement, as one experiences an influx of extreme levels of desire-energy and the full power of the soul comes into being. The awakening of the Serpent Power is not enlightenment and liberation itself, but rather the Fiery Intelligence must be sublimated, and consciously directed inward and upward – Godward.

Transfiguration – This corresponds to the element of fire and to the solar plexus star in the subtle body.

The transfiguration represents the integration of our personality and life-display to the Light-presence, and the full movement and integration of the Serpent Power; hence the actual opening of consciousness to new dimensions and the attainment of various grades of higher vital and mental consciousness, along with the corresponding levels of Divine Gnosis. In essence, the transfiguration is composed of many different grades of the enlightenment experience (Mochin Gadlut – Big Mind) on the level of our vital and mental being, yet it is not the actual enlightenment and liberation of the soul, nor is it the actual attainment of Supernal or Messianic Consciousness.

This is the realm of Gnostic Initiates, for it brings intimate knowledge of the Risen Messiah; and it is the realm of the Zaken (Elder) or Adept, for when the Light-presence is embodied and the Serpent Power is awakened and integrated, it is possible for a person to serve as a vehicle of the Gnostic and Light Transmission to others or to facilitate something of the Gnostic experience with others.

Crucifixion – This corresponds to the element of air and to the heart star in the subtle body.

The transfiguration represents higher gradations of mental and vital consciousness spanning from the ordinary mental and vital consciousness to cosmic consciousness – the peak of mental and vital being. Yet, in order to experience the breakthrough to Supernal or Messianic Consciousness, which is Supramental, the vital and mental consciousness must be brought into complete cessation – the Serpent Power must be brought into repose in the crown star of the subtle body. This represents another mystical death and rebirth, and is the Second Dark Night of the Soul, for the delights of the Gnosis and Communion of the Adept must be sacrificed in order to pass into Supernal or Messianic Consciousness; hence, the Passion and Crucifixion.

Relatively speaking, for most of us in this life, our spiritual labor remains in the realm of Initiation between Birth and Crucifixion, for very few of us are ready and willing to pass through the cycle of Initiation represented by the Passion and Crucifixion – but those who pass through this cycle of Initiation into the Resurrection enter into the realm of the Sacred Tau, and embody something of the Supernal Light-presence, the Supernal Consciousness-Force, and are rightly called “Spiritual Masters.”

Resurrection – This corresponds to the element of spirit-space and to the throat star in the subtle body.

The resurrection represents the actual dawn of Supernal or Messianic Consciousness, and the influx of the Supernal Light-presence, which can potentially transform all levels of consciousness – mental, vital and physical, including the substance of matter itself, as we see in the Risen Savior. It is the full development of consciousness beyond the body, and at the same time a full infusion of the body with Higher Consciousness – it opens the way to conscious unification with God and Godhead. (This is the initial generation of the Threefold Body of Melchizedek.)

Ascension – This corresponds to the white father seed and to the brow star in the subtle body.

The ascension is akin to the transfiguration on another level, for it represents the progressive infusion and integration of the Supernal Light-force into the mental, vital and physical levels of consciousness; hence, the actual transformation of all levels of consciousness, and complete generation of the Threefold Body of Melchizedek.

Unification – This corresponds to the red mother seed and to the crown star on the head of the subtle body.

This represents a conscious unification with God and Godhead – Christhood. One who attains this Mystical Union fully embodies the Holy Shekinah of Messiah.

Enthronement – This corresponds to the Clear Light Essence and the Transcendent Star.

In truth, nothing can be spoken of this Holy Attainment; it represents the Enlightened Ones who abide perpetually in the Body of Truth. - Tau Malachi"

Evolution of the soul

#3 Postby malochim » Sat Nov 12, 2011 2:10 am

Shalom,

In this process of the breaking of the vessels and the emanation of the Olamot, it would almost seem as if Malkuth decends from Adam Kadmon down to Assiyah, becoming Tiferet of the universe below in the Great Tree of Life, the bridge between the upper and lower waters so to speak.

Does the evolution of the subtle body start even before the physical incarnation/evolution on earth? In the sense that there are cycles of evolution on earth in higher realms such as Atzilut, Beriyah and Yetzirah prior to the physical evolution in Assiyah? If so, does this have any connection with the Aeons as they are described in gnostic cosmology?

Also how does the incarnation process work prior to the individualization of a human being? Is it akin to the group souls of Netzach discussed in the cosmic christ with regards to the formation of the individual Nefesh/Ruach of an incarnating human?

Blessings,
Jonas

Levels within Levels of the Soul

#4 Postby Martina » Sat Nov 12, 2011 3:03 am

Greetings and Blessings in the Light of the Messiah!

Thank you, Brother Jonas, for this detailed outline on the different levels of the soul. It is very helpful in contemplating what was shared in last nights Skype discourse. Praise to Our Mother for this good exchange!

Reading through your post a teaching in the tradition came to mind that every soul level contains all five levels. It seems in this way something of the inner levels of our soul is always accessible to us even in nefesh. I find this a very uplifting teaching, as it hints at the multidimensionality of our soul and I was wondering if more could be shared about this.

Many Blessings,
Martina

Qof, regress in order to progress

#5 Postby malochim » Mon Dec 12, 2011 4:44 am

Shalom,

In a recent shabbat discourse Tau Malachi is talking about desires and that desires are placed in us also by God, but along with the desires God also puts certain obstacles or hindrances. Tau Malachi also explains the purpose of these obstacles, that they are there to inflame our desire and through the trials of struggling with the obstacles we get strong enough and generate enough desire energy to actually attain our goal and satisfy the desire. Something about this spoke to me about the mystery of Qof and how the process of progress is wave-like and at times we have regressions and in such an apparent regression we might actually be going through a progression. The purpose of such regressions being to work out certain "energetic knots" or obstructions that hinder us from gathering enough desire energy or light power to ascend to the next stage/state. Also after a great influx of light there is also a period of integration where shades and shadows emerge and the light needs to be anchored and actualized, the temptations overcome. An example of this are the 40 days and night that Yeshua spends in the wilderness being tempted by Satan after his baptism by the river Jordan and the great influx of supernal light. I’ve been told that this also corresponds with the 40 sefirot of the Olams from Atzilut to Assiyah. If we look into our daily lives and when we want to usher in a change in habits or mental patterns it is usually said that it takes about 40 days for the neural pattern to realign itself (this may vary a bit depending on how strongly cemented the habit is). It is also said that 40 days is the time on average that a human survives without food. In all this is a number indicating a death and a rebirth or resurrection from something old into something new. An actualization and anchoring of new light.

The gospel and the Pistis Sophia also talks about Yeshua venturing into hell realms to liberate divine sparks from the bondage there. On one level this could also be interpreted as Yeshua gathering in light power in order for him to ascend.

We will have to overcome obstacles and hindrances to satisfy our desire, but when encountering them we should view them as parting in working out our ultimate success. It is said that love grows at a distance and by applying this principle of running and returning a deep yearning for our Beloved emerges. The obstacles are the distance between us and our desire for the Holy One. We generate a great zeal in order to bypass them and once in the arms of our Beloved the embrace will be even more sweet.

“Generating a clear and conscious intention keeps us focused and consecration tends to remove vital demands that might cause a vital recoil and a potential fall into negativity. Fully engaging the entire spectrum of our energy opens us to the flow of Divine Grace, for when we exhaust our energy Grace enters naturally in. In order for Grace to take up the action, however, it requires that we remain completely positive and that we co-operate with Grace to workout any distortion or obstruction; hence this fourth step. This in turn leads to perfect performance, as it is phrased in the teachings - a term that has many implications.”

There is a Buddhist parable that talks about the desire for God in similar terms.

A hermit was meditating by a river when a young man interrupted him. "Master, I wish to become your disciple," said the man. "Why?" replied the hermit. The young man thought for a moment. "Because I want to find God."

The master jumped up, grabbed him by the scruff of his neck, dragged him into the river, and plunged his head under water. After holding him there for a minute, with him kicking and struggling to free himself, the master finally pulled him up out of the river. The young man coughed up water and gasped to get his breath. When he eventually quieted down, the master spoke. "Tell me, what did you want most of all when you were under water."

"Air!" answered the man.

"Very well," said the master. "Go home and come back to me when you want God as much as you just wanted air."

The book of revelation also speaks about this
“So, because you are lukewarm--neither hot nor cold--I am about to spit you out of my mouth” - Revelation 3:16

Enumerations Ten-Fold

#6 Postby Elder Gideon » Mon Jul 16, 2012 8:29 am

Shalom!

It was my intention months ago to continue sharing something introduced in Mysticism of Yod, where the first ten Hebrew letters may be contemplated as the ten sefirot of the Tree of Life: http://www.sophian.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2189. 1-10, Keter to Malkuth, are repeated below:

__________________________Keter

____________א
ב _______ג________

ד_______ה________
ו____________
ז_______ח________

ט____________

י____________י

_________________________Malkut

From this, it is possible and wondrous to extend the value of 10-100, Keter to Malkut, through the same ten-fold structure of sefirot. Look and see!

__________________________Keter

____________י
כ _______ל________

מ_______נ________
ס____________
ע_______פ________

צ____________

ק____________י

_________________________Malkut

What I've longed to see is 100-1000, Keter to Malkut. If the letters are hard to recognize at first, it requires familiarity with their final forms: Kaf final is 500, Mem final is 600, Nun final is 700, Peh final is 800, and Tzaddi final is 900. Notice how many of them go 'below the line', feeding the other side! A massive Alef in Hebrew enumerates 1000.

Re: Mysticism of Qof

#7 Postby Bevan » Sat Jun 25, 2016 9:07 am

Shalom!

I came upon Qof as “end”, which is "qets" ( קֵץ ). This word fits into the idea of “cycles” as a component in the cycles of the evolution of life, detailed above, and in the cycles of nature that Rabbi Munk speaks. There is the end of a geological age or the end of a moon cycle.
“LORD, make me to know my end [qets]
And what is the extent of my days;
Let me know how transient I am."
(Psalm 39:3-6)
Here I see “qets” speaking of the soul and knowing the limitations of nefesh, name, form and personal history. For in this wisdom, the end looks to what is transcendent.
And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.
There will be no end [qets] to the increase of His government or of peace,
(Isaiah 9:6,7)
With the coming of Messiah prophesied by Isaiah, there is “no end”! This points to something of Ain Sof. All “endings” existing within an infinite movement of cycles within our Neshamah.
The disciples said to Jesus, "Tell us, how will our end come?" Jesus said, "Have you found the beginning, then, that you are looking for the end? You see, the end will be where the beginning is. Congratulations to the one who stands at the beginning: that one will know the end and will not taste death." (Gospel of St. Thomas, Verse 18)
How wonderful this evolutionary thrust of end and beginning that moves us toward liberation and enlightenment. Even this I understand has no end.

In reference to the post above in extending the value of the Letters from 10 to 100, Keter to Malkut, does Qof become an “end” in Malkut?

I also find significant that "qets" contains the letters qof-tzadi. It implies that there is a righteousness (tzadi) moving in an ending (qof).

Any corrections or clarifications are welcome.

Bevan.

Shalom Bevan:

So glad you found qetz. It is how Hebrew speaks of the End of Days: Qetz Yamin.

It is the Law that all beginnings generate ends; they co-exist all the while. When the Master teaches in St. Thomas, You see, the end will be where the beginning is, so many principles are claimed at once. Infinity is looped like the snake swallowing its own tail, not a line as one might think on a glyph depicting Hokmah and Binah. Likewise, how anything in this world ends reveals its most private intention from the beginning. If, in the Presence of Awareness, I'm able to recognize and identify with ain, I can literally endure what does end without being overcome or overwhelmed. It is good to look through, rather than at, the end, for by this one's awareness has consciously moved so far west that they're now east: Qedem.

The primitive root קָדַם, Qadam, is fascinating in this context of cycles, connoting what precedes, goes ahead, and meets. From it, a whole host of related words arise: Q'dume-ancient or Qadmon-primordial. It's completely surreal for mental being to relate the most ancient, even primordial with the future, but this is the experience by which mekubalim and apostles describe greater and greater nearness to the Presence. To hear east as preceding the end is also how the healing order of St. Rafael understands maladies and sickness: an interruption of who and what most truly is already. A distortion in the time has come between me as I am in myself and me as I am in the Eternal One. To align these is to heal. It is my future self that transforms my present self.

That קָ goes below the line describes this purifying process of which we recently spoke in your mentoring on this Hebrew letter. To go below the line is to the Other Side. While the ignorance and inability to relate is equally without beginning, Tau Malachi teaches that there is an end to ignorance, which is found in the Presence of Awareness outside of time, meaning outside of personal history. The nearer to the moment in which I can consistently abide, the greater the Presence of Awareness can indwell me. In this Presence of Awareness, there is no sin, as the Perfect Master taught in St. Mary, but that you mingle with sin, as in adultery. The burdens of my past are what I lug with me every day, everywhere I go. To consistently release the misunderstanding of my personal history brings about its end, its קֵץ-qetz.

קֵץ: Both of these letters reach into the Other Side. This teaches me that the process of the release is by the refinement of my misunderstanding of self, metabolizing my personal history into the very fuel by which I merit transcendence of self. It is good, even when it wasn't. Who and what I become because of it is merit, the release of sparks of holiness that come only in the end, the qetz, of their time.

May all the faithful and elect of God find purpose in their pain to serve the Sovereignty with all of their heart, mind, soul, and strength.

Elder Gideon
