A Father and a Mother

#1 Postby Elder Gideon » Fri Sep 02, 2016 10:33 pm

Shalom Tau Malachi:

When we were Jews, we were orphans with only a mother.
When we became Christian, we had a father and a mother.
(Gospel of Phillip)

This one claim is for me one of the most concentrated moments in all of this Gospel of Phillip.

I'm very moved by this verse for so many reasons drawn out by something you've recently taught regarding woe and lamentation spelled as hee הִי and the reverse of this in the Divine Name Yah יָהּ. This goes and goes.

הִי is the Pillar of Severity, being orphans with only a mother; יָהּ is the Pillar of Mercy, a father and a mother.

הִי is the Tree of Knowledge in unconscious union. יָהּ is the Tree of Life in conscious union.

הִי is the Law that only reveals sin but cannot redeem; יָהּ is Grace that alone redeems from sin.

הִי is what shatters in greater waves of Supernal influx; יָהּ is what unifies with the Supernal light.

What more may be expanded of this powerful reversal in our process of coming into being from הִי to יָהּ?

Gratefully,

Elder Gideon

Blessings to you in Hayyah Yeshua, the Risen and Ascended Messiah!

This is a delightful insight and contemplation you have shared, and I’m inclined to take it up and add to it. I’ve not associated the Name of Yah (Lord) and its reversal (lamentation) with these verses, though no doubt there is a subtle connection, understanding Yod as Father and Hey as Mother, indicating the Supernal Father and Mother, Hokmah (Abba) and Binah (Imma). What strikes me this morning as I consider this is the teaching of the Holy Kabbalah that the heavens are created by Yod and the earth is created by Hey, Yah corresponding with the infinite potential of the Eternal from which the heavens and earth continue to arise and manifest; the reversal naturally suggests destruction rather than creation, and likewise its suggests creation out of its proper order, which leads to chaos and void, unconscious oblivion.

Listen and hear, and understand! “In the beginning Elohim created the heavens and the earth,” first the heavens and then the earth, and the origin of souls is in the light of the heavens, the heaven of heavens, not the earth, or the darkness of matter. In the ignorance, though, in the illusion of separation, the heavens are concealed, as is God, the True Light, and souls do not remember and know their origin, but rather believe that their origin is the earth, the darkness of matter; in the ignorance they grasp at name and form, the mortal coil, and the personal history of their incarnation, and relatively few seek heaven or enlightenment, but rather pursue things of the world and petty, egoistic desires, all manner of “vanities under the sun.” The result of this is death and destruction, and in death a fall into unconscious oblivion, only to arise again in yet another incarnation bound up in the ignorance, the illusion of separation, and the great sorrow and suffering it brings. This bondage to the ignorance (demiurge, klippah nogah) can go on and on, potentially through countless lives, countless incarnations, and in truth, bound up in the ignorance, souls have never lived, and never having lived they cannot find rest, or liberation from the potentially endless rounds of reincarnation (gilgulim).

Thus, in the same Gnostic sermon it is written:

“A gentile [unconscious soul] doesn’t die, never having been alive to die. You who find the truth are alive; another may die, being alive. Since Christ came the world was made, cities adorned, and the dead buried.”

The reversal of Yah corresponds with bondage to the ignorance, and means “lamentation,” the sorrow and suffering of aimless wander without rest, unable to realize the kingdom of heaven - the Pleroma of Light, and experience conscious union with the Infinite and Eternal. On the other hand, Yah connotes the awakening of the soul, the remembrance of our true origin in the heaven of heavens, in the Pleroma of Light, that we might seek to enter into it and return, as it were, to God, the True Light.

Now there is something more in this passage, for if we read the story of creation in Genesis we find that there are two separate and distinct stories of the creation of human beings, as though there are different manifestations of humankind, or different soul races in humanity. Indeed, in the story of creation proper, if we look into chapter one of Genesis, there is the creation of human beings, male and female, in the image and likeness of Elohim, and this is the culmination of creative evolution on earth. Then, in chapter two of Genesis, there is another story of the garden of Eden, and formation of a human being that is, at first, male and female in one body, into whom Yahweh Elohim breathes, gifting to the human one living soul (hayyah nefesh), and we may say the potential of a fiery intelligence, the reception of the Holy Light and Spirit. After the creation, formation and making of this human being (Adam) who was male and female in one body, then the Holy One caused a deep sleep to fall upon the human being, and male and female were drawn from one another to be separate and distinct beings (Adam and Havvah). As we know, when Adam and Havvah were driven out of the garden of Eden, there were other human beings from whom the sons of Adam and Havvah could acquire wives, so quite literally the Torah states that there is more than one stream of humankind, more than one soul race of humanity, there are, in fact, two or three; and we may say that before the coming of Christ there were two, but with the coming of Christ there are three, or rather, there were always three soul races, but until the coming of the Christ, the emanation of the True Light, the third was not fully awakened and realized.

As is known, in the Holy Kabbalah Elohim corresponds with the Mother (Imma) and the Pillar of Severity, and Yahweh corresponds with the Father (Abba) and the Pillar of Mercy. Thus, in the first account of the creation of humankind in Genesis there is the creation of humankind with the Mother and in severity, Elohim, apart from the Father, Yahweh; in the second account, though, there is the creation of a humanity with Father and Mother, in mercy and severity, Yahweh Elohim. There is something to note, however, for as has been said, it is written in the Torah that the Holy One caused a deep sleep to fall upon the human one fashioned as male and female in one body, male and female being drawn out of that one, Adam and Havvah, but it is not written that the Holy One caused Adam and Havvah to awaken after the deep sleep, so that what follows suggest a play of sleep and dream, and semiconsciousness, and some process of remembering, awakening through a long journey of involution in matter and incarnation. The potential of awakening is present, but not actualized and realized, the potential of a living soul that can receive the Holy Light and Spirit is present, but is not actualized and realized, and therefore the greater fiery intelligence, the Supernal Light and Spirit, is not embodied.

When Christ comes souls are awakened, the gift of the fiery intelligence, the influx of the Holy Light and Spirit, is received and embodied, and becoming enlightened souls are drawn up in the Great Ascension, the Great Liberation. Praise God, the True Light!

There is material, bestial humankind, as yet unconscious, and there is psychic, faithful humankind, as yet semiconscious, and there is spiritual, elect humanity, conscious, awake, able to realize the true kingdom of heaven - the heaven of heavens, and able to enter into conscious unification with the Infinite and Eternal One; this realization of heaven and conscious union is the truth (Amet) that brings life abundant, eternal life, the realization of bornless being - the Christ.

What does it mean to have a Mother and Father, it means the realization of our transcendence and the embodiment of transcendence - enlightenment and liberation, true salvation.

Yod corresponds with Yahweh, Hey corresponds with Elohim; Yahweh Elohim the actualization and realization of Yah. Hallelu Yah! Praise the Lord!

May heaven and earth be unified in us this day, and may we abide awake in the presence of the Lord (Yah), the remembrance of our transcendence in Hayyah Yeshua! Amen.

Shalom!

I greatly appreciate all that has been drawn out here. Praise the Holy One for such mysteries!

Through contemplation regarding the story of creation, both the first and second stories, I am led to a certain section in the second story that has always intrigued me.

"The Lord God said, it is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him."

Now the story goes on to speak,

"Now the Lord God had formed out of the ground all the beasts of the field and all the birds of the air. He brought them to the man to see what he would name them; and whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name. So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds of the air and all the beasts of the field. But for Adam no suitable helper was found. So the Lord caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man's ribs and closed up the place with flesh. Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man."

What intrigues me in the context of the teaching presented if I am understanding correctly is the correspondence of psychic, faithful humanity to male and female in one body, before the divide, before the "deep sleep", while the correspondence of material, bestial humanity is attributed to the divide between male and female, and the deep sleep. Also of intrigue is the bringing to the psychic, faithful humanity all of the "beasts of the field and the birds of the air" to be named. It is very curious that there is first a mention of the need of a helper, but before the helper is created there is this "naming" of the beasts of the field and "deep sleep" The question arises, what does this say of the psychic, faithful humanity? Also, the question arises, what does this say of the correspondence between material, bestial humanity and the "deep sleep" as well as the separation of male and female"? Also, what does this say of the "helper"? does this have something to do with that which will ultimately lead back to psychic, faithful?

With praise and thanksgiving in the heart and a prayer for all beings to enact the truth of their inmost soul,

Shalom,
Elder Sarah

Grace and peace to you in Hayyah Yeshua, the Risen Messiah!

There is a need for clarification of the three soul races and the threefold story of the creation of humankind. First there is the creation of humankind, male and female, in the image and likeness of Elohim, and this corresponds to material, bestial humankind on earth, and the physical evolution of humankind from the animal kingdom. Then there is the creation of Adam, the Human One, in the garden of Eden, male and female in one body, into whom Yahweh Elohim breathes, imparting a fiery intelligence, living soul (hayyah nefesh), and this corresponds with spiritual, elect humanity. After the Holy One caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, male and female were drawn from within Adam, and there was Adam and Havvah, and this corresponds with psychic, faithful humankind. Here we may note again that the Torah does not state that there was an awakening from “deep sleep” with the arising of Adam and Havvah separate and apart from one another, and therefore with faithful humankind there is a state of dream and sleep, and semiconsciousness, while with bestial humankind there is a state of ignorance, and unconsciousness, but spiritual humanity is awake and abides in communion with the Holy One, or in the awareness of innate unity with the Holy One, having the breath, the Spirit, of Yahweh Elohim (Eternal God).

Look and see! Before the deep sleep falls upon the Human One (Adam ha-Rishon) and there is a division of male and female, the Human One - Speaking One, names all creatures, all things in creation. This corresponds with the knowledge of the spiritual essences of things, our what things are in the Pleroma of Light and the Infinite One, and it is the power to bring the spiritual essence of things into them and to draw out the light that is in them, drawing upon their knowledge and power, and facilitating the realization of things according to the will of the Most High (Ratzon Elyon). This is the power of spiritual humanity, receiving the Messiah, the Holy Light and Spirit from above, so they are the image and likeness of Yahweh Elohim, bearing the full power of mercy and judgment, and compassion, and the ability to bring about the tikkune of this world, the heavens and world of angels, the world of souls and archangels, and the World of the Sefirot, or The Name.

Now, as we know, the three souls races emanate again in Cain, Abel and Seth. Cain, who killed Abel in jealousy corresponds with material, bestial humankind, and Abel whose worship was acceptable, corresponds with psychic, faithful humankind, and Seth, who was the image and likeness of Adam - the Human One, male and female in one body, corresponds with spiritual, elect humanity. According to Jewish Midrashim Cain was conceived from the serpent (nechash), and Abel was conceived in an improper union of Adam and Havvah, in consternation between them, but Seth was conceived in a proper union of Adam and Havvah, one that was good and true, in faith and love, and therefore in Seth (Shin-Tau) there was a full reunification of male and female, and the gift of the fiery intelligence, the Spirit of Yahweh, was in him. From Seth descended the lineages of the holy ones of Israel, the patriarchs and matriarchs, the judges and prophets, and the Messiah; it is spiritual humanity, the true Community of Israel, that is able to receive the Messiah, able to embody the Holy Light and Spirit of the Eternal One in full.

As is known, the connotation of three soul races occurs again with the three sons of Noah following the flood, so that again there was the bestial, faithful and spiritual humankind represented.

Concerning spiritual humanity, and the unification of male and female, and heaven and earth within spiritual humanity, we may recall what Adonai Yeshua said to religious authorities inquiring about marriage in heaven. He said to them that “no one will be given in marriage, but they will be like unto the angels,” which is to say that they will be male and female in one body of light, or androgynous. Indeed, a spiritual human being resembles the angels of heaven, very much so, for in subtle body they are radiant with the glory and power of the Lord (Yahweh, Yeshua) and shine like the sun, and truly they do not appear as male or female, and they bear knowledge of the heavens and God, having been reborn from above, from heaven, or from the Pleroma of Light.

Spiritual humanity truly is like unto the angels of heaven, and is destined to be and become more than human, and more than angelic, they are destined to come into being as the Messiah - as a divine and supernal being, a holy and enlightened being. Thus, in truth, human incarnation is not the culmination of the evolution of souls, but is transitional, and as souls awaken material human is transcended.

Now here we may contemplate the mystery of Elohim, and the creation of material, bestial humankind in the image of Elohim, male and female, separate and distinct. First, as we know, Elohim is a feminine noun with a masculine plural, and implies female and male, but more profoundly in the Kabbalah Elohim corresponds with the Pillar of Severity, or Judgment, and Elohim contains light and darkness, good and evil - all spiritual forces, angelic, archonic and demonic. Genesis 1:26 actually reads, “Let us make humankind in our image, according to our likeness…” First, “make,” this is Asiyah, the material dimension and world, and note the plurality, “us,” as though the weaving of all manner of spiritual forces, the Sefirot and the klippot, the Other Side; hence, the involvement of Klippah Nogah, the demiurge and archons, and the spirit of the Other Side, these powers dominating material, bestial humankind, and significantly influencing and encumbering psychic, faithful humankind. This is the state of having a “Mother,” Elohim, but no “Father,” Yahweh.

In this light consider Yahweh Elohim, Yahweh the Eternal One, the Transcendent, joined with Elohim, Judgment joined with Mercy; Yahweh, the full influx and manifestation of the Holy Sefirot, the Holy One and Shekinah, and all spiritual forces aligned, harmonized, with the will of the Most High. Spiritual humanity is created, formed and made by Yahweh Elohim, and the soul within spiritual humanity, the fiery intelligence within spiritual humanity, issues from, emanates from, Yahweh Elohim, and with this is the capacity to have knowledge of the Eternal One, and to acquire the understanding and wisdom of the Eternal One, and to realize conscious union, the embodiment of the Eternal One, as we behold in the person of Yeshua Messiah, the true image and likeness of Yahweh Elohim.

So, indeed, spiritual humanity - “Christians,” those who are “Christ-like,” have a mother and a father, and the insemination of the Living Father is the gift of the fiery intelligence, the Holy Spirit, through which we are able to realize our innate perfection in the Pleroma of Light and “be perfect as our heavenly [transcendent] Father is perfect,” just as Adonai Yeshua has called us to be. In this we may remind of one of the Three Roots, “Remember your transcendence!”

To anyone who has ears to hear, I will say listen and hear, and understand! If you can see, if you can hear, if you can feel in the Spirit truly, then you know that you are a spiritual being, and though in the flesh, the darkness of matter, material incarnation, you are not the flesh, you are not the darkness that rules this world, you are not material at all, but are spiritual, and yet more, supernal, your essential root being in the primordial - Primordial Enlightened Being, Melchizedek, or the Primordial Messiah. Contemplate this well, and understand, and let remembrance of the truth (Amet) that will set you free!

May this come to pass through the Spirit of the Lord, the good grace of Yahweh Elohim embodied in Messiah Yeshua! Amen.

On this even of Shabbat I shall say, Shabbat Shalom! Amen.
