Greetings and blessings in the light of the Messiah!
Yes, indeed, Miriam and twelve elder women from among the tribes can be understood to correspond with the sun and twelve zodiacal signs. The songs they sang were inspired by Ruach Ha-Kodesh, the spirit of holiness, or spirit of prophecy. According to the tradition, these were not songs with words, but they were wordless songs, or melodies, and after singing them, when the well appeared, they would speak prophecies and have words of knowledge. Together they represent the fullness of spiritual humanity in their time and place; hence, the twelve tribes of Israel, corresponding with all zodiacal signs, the spiritual element of all humanity.
In that the feminine is often associated with the moon in the Kabbalah, and there are thirteen moons in a year, thirteen women can also correspond with the thirteen lunar cycles. If Miriam and the twelve elder women are contemplated this way, other holy mysteries may be drawn out.
In the tradition, Mother Miriam is the Living Well, and her child, Yeshua, is the Living Water – she is the true Miriam’s Well (Living Well); then, of course, there are twelve holy mothers of the close disciples, the original apostles, and in their giving birth to souls of lofty grades they serve to draw out that Living Water of true salvation. Thus, the twelve elder women from among the tribes and the prophet Miriam singing heart-songs to bring sweet water were a talisman and prophecy of what was to come, holy mothers birthing a new humanity, supernal and divine.
Water below, this is the evolution of life and consciousness that must come to pass before there can be a greater outpouring of the Holy Spirit and greater revelation of Christ, the Divine; water from above, these are the influxes in response to the evolution of life and consciousness, which in turn inspire and guide new progress in evolution, invoking greater influxes of the Spirit of God in revelation.
This very process of creative evolution may be understood in the story of the fall and redemption of Pistis Sophia, and her thirteen repentances corresponding with thirteen emanations of Sophia, twelve cycles of evolution, the thirteenth being the integral realization of them all – hence a progressive evolution and ascent of consciousness, or souls. At the same time, though, the twelve emanations of Sophia correspond with the wisdom of the zodiacal signs, and the thirteenth corresponds to the integral realization of them all; hence, the fullness of the Sun of God, the Human One of Light. If and when a soul becomes realized, embodying Supernal or Messianic Conscious incarnate in any zodiacal sign they are a holy tzaddik of that sign having the knowledge and power of the corresponding “savior,” or emanation of Logos and Sophia (Christ), and in their realization they transcend that sign, or the stars of their birth. It may be said that such a holy one is the heart-song of their Mother, God the Mother and the Holy Bride, the Shekinah of the Messiah; when they take up the play of Light Transmission, so Living Water pours forth from them for all to drink who are thirsty for it, and when the Living Water pours forth it is the fulfillment of the invocation in the heart-song of their Holy Mother.
The truth of cycles in the evolution of life and consciousness, and the realization of a holy tzaddik incarnate in any sign of the zodiac, or any tribe of spiritual Israel, is interconnected, for there are cycles, stages, of progress or evolution in the unfolding of self-realization in Christ, and these will transpire in any incarnation as for the first time, every time, regardless of realization of a soul in previous incarnations. Likewise, the spiritual illumination embodied will be dependent upon the place and time of the incarnation, and the degree of progress or evolution of consciousness, or souls, in the larger collective of humankind – hence, it will depend upon the age or aeon into which the holy tzaddik or apostle incarnates as a messenger, or savior.
Here it must be said, when we speak of spiritual Israel, and the zodiacal signs as the tribes of spiritual Israel, this is very significant, for we are not speaking of a physical birth as a child of Israel, or as a Jewish person, according to the order of natural generation, but rather we are speaking of a spiritual rebirth according to the Order of Regeneration in Christ, the Logos and Sophia; we are speaking of the spiritual elect who are chosen and called from within all humanity, all nations. Just as Messiah Yeshua becomes the Holy Light or Living Water in the world, so also do all who are called and chosen with him become the Holy Light or Living Water, all who experience the same spiritual rebirth, or receive the same anointing from above, being reborn from the Pleroma of Light. Thus, indeed, as a person becomes a living tzaddik, a true woman or man of God, receiving the full anointing with Supernal Light, or the Christ Spirit, and embodying something of the Fiery Intelligence of Supernal or Messianic Consciousness, the Living Water, the Light Transmission, flows from them to all who are surrounding them who have the desire and capacity to receive it, and each receives according to their desire and capacity, or their soul’s development and evolution.
The degree to which a holy tzaddik or apostle can engage and impart the Light Transmission, Living Waters, is completely dependent upon the gathering of companions surrounding them, whether auspicious or inauspicious; it is dependent upon the embodiment of the desire to receive that fulfills and perfects the desire to give embodied in the holy tzaddik. A tzaddik could very well embody a great Light-presence and Light-power, or a very lofty spiritual realization and illumination, but if there was no one to invoke and receive the greater manifestation of the Light Transmission, in effect, the Light Transmission would not be manifest in the world through them. We learn about this from what the Risen Christ says to his disciples in the Pistis Sophia, when he teaches them that he put their souls in their mother’s wombs, along with the twelve powers of the twelve saviors, and this implies the need for an auspicious retinue or assembly, or a gathering of more evolved souls able to receive the full spectrum of Light Transmission. Likewise, this is reflected in his teaching that he put the soul of Elijah, along with a great power, into the womb of Elizabeth; but more so, it is reflected by the incarnation of his soul mate, or Sophia, in the person of Mirya, the Magdalene.
Yohanan the Baptist, of course, is the holy tzaddik of Adonai Yeshua, and the opener of the way, which expresses the need for discipleship and spiritual evolution unfolding self-realization in Christ regardless of the spiritual realization of a soul in previous incarnations. Mother Miriam, the Bride Miriam, and all the male and female disciples, form the vehicle for the reception of full Light Transmission, or full Supernal Influx. In this matrix of evolved souls Bride Miriam, or Mirya the Magdalene, is most essential, for as the soul mate of Messiah Yeshua, his inmost disciple and spiritual consort, she knows how to draw out the inner and secret teachings of the Holy Gospel, and how to invoke the inmost gradations of Light Transmission, and as she draws out and invokes, and receives, so do all of the disciples and the entire world. Hallelu Yah! Hallelu Kallah Messiah!
The Magdalene, along with all of the close disciples, are as Miriam and the elder women who sing heart-songs invoking sweet waters, or in this case, the manifestation of the true Holy Well and Living Water, the Supernal Light Transmission that flows from the Eternal Christ. What is essential about women singing heart-songs is that, as we know in the Holy Kabbalah, “female” designates the desire and capacity to receive, and therefore the power to invoke and receive spiritual power, Supernal Influx. This is reflected by the Magdalene’s great capacity to invoke and receive, and, in turn, to give birth, bringing about the greater spiritual influxes and revelations; hence, her embodiment of Supernal Malkut, Shekinah, becoming the Holy Well, Holy Grail, through which the Living Waters, Light Transmission, was poured out in full.
In this regard, understanding this, we may acquire insight into the deeper meaning of the Second Coming of Christ in Glory as the revelation of God the Mother and full reception of the Holy Bride, for with a greater outpouring of the Christ Spirit, or greater manifestation of Supernal Influx, there must be a greater desire and capacity to receive and integrate, embody, the True Light, this capacity being represented by the Holy Bride, the Tower of the Flock.
Here it may be said than the inmost disciple of any holy tzaddik or apostle, or the most receptive spiritual companion, is the Tower of the Flock in their assembly, and the Tower of the Flock can be a woman or a man – it is the one who is most faithful and transparent, open and sensitive, and able to receive to the fullest possible extent. Joined with the Holy Tower, or Holy Pillar of the Community, the greater the desire and capacity to receive of all members of the community or assembly, the greater the outpouring of the Christ Spirit, or Supernal Light Transmission.
We may speak an open secret regarding the greater reception of Light Transmission. It is completely dependent upon love and faith, and most especially upon our love, our attachment to our holy tzaddik. The greater the love of our inner being for our tzaddik, or the greater the attachment of our soul to them, the greater our experience of the Light Transmission and their Mochin, the Fiery Intelligence in them; and it is through complete and total love, and surrender, that we experience the inmost gradations of Light Transmission, as Magdalene did with Messiah Yeshua; hence, an energetic transmission mind-to-mind and heart-to-heart in spiritual and psychic union.
This love of the holy tzaddik, of course, will extend to all of their companions, because the companions are the tzaddik and the tzaddik is their companions, One Living Body of Christ. Thus, for example, if we are recounting to a tzaddik the sins of their companions, or how their companions have offended us, or put us off, we might wish to consider our own sins, and how we put others off, and enact forgiveness and love, learning to be loving, learning to be kind. Indeed, because the greater our love and faith, and our self-offering, the greater the manifestation of the Light Transmission between us and our tzaddik; and conversely, the more compromised our love and faith, the most compromised our experience of Light Transmission, or our anointing with the Christ Spirit.
There is such a thing as a good heart (Lev) and a bad heart (Levv), and a good heart sings a sweet, harmonious and loving heart-song, but a bad heart sings a sour, disharmonious and unkind one. Understand this well! (Pun intended!)
Basically speaking, in community, in the assembly, we wish to co-create the most loving and faithful environment as possible, for in so doing together we co-create the conditions necessary for the movement of Divine Grace, the Holy Spirit; the more loving and faithful the gathering of spiritual companions, the more they are of one mind and one heart in Christ, the greater the outpouring of the Christ Spirit or Holy Light upon them, and the more it is embodied in them and shines from within them.
Here it must be said, the Light Transmission is not an issue of our worthiness; as we are in ourselves, as sinners, we are not worthy – but as we know and understand there is forgiveness in Christ through faith, through confession and repentance. Yet more, however, though we are not worthy as we are in ourselves, we are worthy as we are in Christ and God, the True Light; hence, we are worthy in our divine nature and divine spark, our innate perfection and virginity in Christ and God.
It is not an issue of our worthiness, but rather it is an issue of evolution, our willingness to surrender, and to grow, evolve, in the love and faith of Christ.
Perhaps in this we may have a deeper understanding of the single commandment Yeshua Messiah gives to us: “Love one another as I have loved you.” This is the single commandment he gives because he knows that it is in this that the full anointing of the Christ Spirit comes to pass, and that it is through this that the Holy Light is integrated and embodied – it’s this that constitutes the Living Body of the Eternal Christ.
Here, perhaps, it is good to remember that Pistis Sophia, or the Holy Bride, corresponds with the Soul of souls of spiritual humanity, the spiritual elect; hence the inmost aspects of our soul, our divine nature. As such, she corresponds with the Living Body of Christ, the true Church of the Eternal Christ. In this, her heart-songs are our heart-songs, and they are sung when we sing them, which is to say when we are purified and sanctified by the Christ Spirit, and so live in Christ, progressively embodying the Christ Spirit.
In this play of Light Transmission, or the outpouring of Living Waters, spiritual humility, true surrender, is essential, joined with spiritual self-worth; our ability to bow down in God’s presence, and to offer ourselves completely to God in love and faith, is everything – when we humble ourselves and we bow down, God will uplift and exalt us. This is an essential lesson in the esoteric Gospel of Pistis Sophia, for what is the very foundation of the gospel? It is the tale of the fall and redemption of Pistis Sophia, the Soul of souls, and how through repentance, through bowing before the Most High, the Soul of souls is uplifted and exalted, and united with Christ in God, the True Light – it is a story of humbling ourselves before God, while being aware of the truth of our inner being in God!
Pride and arrogance, self-cherishing and self-will, and self-glorification, can receive little or nothing of the True Light; what is generated in such ignorance is a distortion or corruption of light, impure, tainted “false lights.” This state of ignorance is personified by the demiurge, Yaldabaot, and the archons, and so also the fallen Sophia (souls in the unenlightened condition); but in the story of the redemption of Sophia the way of the Great Exodus, or Great Ascension, is revealed, which is opposite the way of the demiurge, and unenlightened society.
As we see in the thirteen repentances of Pistis Sophia, this journey in Christ to full enlightenment and liberation is progressive, it is a process of growth and evolution, and a progressive purification and consecration through increasing influxes of the Spirit of Christ, or the Holy Light; and by nature, it is a re-gathering of light-power, or sparks of the soul, and the reintegration of the soul with the Pleroma of Light. If we look into the story of Pistis Sophia we know that the motivation of full surrender, or complete self-offering, is Divine Passion, passionate love of the Beloved, above and below.
Now, concerning angels, the archangels and angels from among the various orders, or choirs, are within and behind every movement of Light Transmission and every wonder that transpires, and they are active conscious agents of God’s word and wisdom and will in creation – they are principle emanations of the Holy Shekinah, the presence and power of Christ and God, the True Light. Thus, indeed, the holy angels are intimately involved in the redeeming actions of Pistis Sophia, or in the redeeming actions of the Living Body of Christ.
With regard to angels and heart-songs, we cannot help but notice that the orders of angels are also called “choirs,” implying singers and songs, and so no doubt they are, and must be, involved in the singing of heart-songs, and in the great wonder of Miriam’s Well appearing to give forth true sweet water, the Water of Eternal Life!
Here we may say, very often among living tzaddikim and those on fire with the Holy Spirit, heart-songs are sung in the tongues of angels, or in tongues of the elder races, and these songs, or invocations, have great light-power in them, for the knowledge and power of the holy angels is in them, and as the song is sung, or the invocation intoned, the holy angels move and act to fulfill what is sung, or what is spoken. There is no teaching these tongues, but they are Gifted, given by the Holy Spirit, and they are not tongues of mindless babbling, or unconscious vital sentiment, but they are intelligent, having knowledge and understanding, and conscious intention, not in thought and thinking, but in a full force of will and love, and pure radiant awareness in the Spirit.
We may also say that it is entirely possible for our soul to hear the songs of the choirs of angels, and to acquire understanding of their songs, and we may say that as much as visiting us to share their knowledge and power with us, so also they visit to share their songs. With tzaddikim, and with those on fire with the Holy Spirit, these visitations become reciprocal, for as they share their knowledge and power, and songs, with the tzaddikim and anointed ones, so the tzaddikim and anointed ones share their knowledge, power and heart-songs with the angels of God, and there is a worship in the presence of God together in Spirit and Truth.
The further we progress in the Gospel, the further our soul ascends in the Christ Spirit, the more we abide perpetually in the company of the angels, and the more we receive their visitations and ministry; in the presence of a living tzaddik, or a person on fire with the Holy Spirit, angels are continually coming and going, and abiding, hence the spiritual radiance and the many spontaneous blessings we receive in their presence – all according to our desire and capacity to receive, our openness and sensitivity, or our love and faith.
Here we may say, the more we abide in love and faith, and open to the Christ Spirit, the more the Spirit and the angels move with, in and through our prayers, and the more the holy angels pray with us; hence, the greater the spiritual power that is in our prayers. Loving one another is the key to this, though, for when we love, the love of the holy angels can shine upon us more and more, and so their greater knowledge and power, and most luminous songs and invocations, are shared with us.
Here we may also say, when there is a luminous, powerful teaching of the Gospel given through the Spirit, or a fluid and flowing inspired prayer from the Spirit is spoken, so the holy angels are involved in that teaching or that prayer – such teachings, such prayers, are a witness of the Holy Spirit and the presence of maggidim, angels!
In closing we can also share an open secret. As we know, some tzaddikim are very lofty and removed from the world, or are very otherworldly, and these tzaddikim are called maggid, “angel.” As might be guessed, there is a great ministry of holy angels in the presence of these tzaddikim, and it is said that archangels attend to them.
As we know, in every generation there is a great “Holy Lamp” in each great stream of Light Transmission, and that holy one is among those that would be called maggid; and it has been said by masters of the tradition that the Holy Lamp knows the ministrations of Archangel Metatron (or Hua), having knowledge and conversation with the archangel of the Messiah. It has also been said that all perfect tzaddikim in the Spirit of the Messiah share in this knowledge and conversation with the Prince of the Countenance, the archangelic emanation of Eheieh, the Divine I Am.
Here the Mother calls me into silence, so I must be quiet, honoring my Mother’s wishes.
May all who desire to receive the fullness of Living Waters receive them directly from the mouth of the Eternal Christ, and so may their thirst be quenched forever. Amen.
