The blood and dust of Adam

#1 Postby Marion » Sat Oct 06, 2007 6:38 pm

I stumbled across something very interesting the other day that I thought was very interesting. In Genisis, Adam, the first human being is said to have been made out of red clay. I heard an interpretation of this that dust was mixed with moon-blood. Because in Ancient palistine, the women used to make offerings to the earth with their first moon-blood.

Shalom, Marion,
It would be a good way to communicate the feminine quality of matter through symbol. So Adam blends spirit and matter in a balance of masculine and feminine.

Yours in the light of Shekinah,
Student, tell me: what is God? The breath within the breath.
