Mary Magdalene-Tower of the Flock

#1 Postby Marion » Sun Jul 14, 2013 5:42 pm

Shalom Brothers and Sisters,

I have been contemplating the meaning of the name Magdalene, which means Tower of the Flock. I have heard it said once that this could actually be a title rather than a name. We hear in the oral tradition of St. Mary Magdalene, there is a line that says that she came from Magdal, which is a town in Galilee on the coast. And there are others that say she didn't come from Magdal, but from another place. I also read that the town of Magdal was actually called by a different name in the time of Yeshua, but that there was a hill by the name that shepherds would sit on top of to watch their sheep. I also heard once that Magdalene was a title rather than a name. So I have been very curious, what does Tower of the Flock mean?

The contemplation arose of the tower as an upliftment of desire energy. Looking out into the world, I realized that everything is a manifestation of this desire energy, yes truly Everything! Whenever anyone drinks or eats, whenever anyone goes to work, or school, whenever anyone writes a letter, pays a bill, drives their car it is all a manifestation of this desire energy. This is why it is said that lierally everything can be a vehicle for light transmission, we just need to recognize the truth of this desire as with and in God. Therefore uplifting our desire towards God, and not towards the world.

Magdal means tower and I am wondering if there is a correlation to the Hebrew letter Peh? Because in the Tarot Atu, peh is The Tower. Peh means mouth, which is a cognomen of Malkut. Malkut is the sefirot attributed to Nukvah and Kallah-Bride. I wonder if this Tower-Magdal has associations with Malkut uplifted to Zer Anpin? That is, Malkut as the eternal Shabbat, which is Kallah-Bride?

I was also contemplating this tower as staff. The other night there was a beautiful discussion about the staff. The insight that was drawn upon was the staff as ones Shekinah consort and desire energy uplifted. This also spurred a contemplation of Moses lifting the serpent in the wilderness. We have heard that in this action, Moses was empowering the children of Israel to uplift their desire energy to the Holy One and not to things of this world.

This Magdal who is Mary; is she teaching and offering a way of hope? The image implies guiding on the way, just as Yeshua did, she is showing us another way. This is a way of heaven, and like a Mother, she is ever before us.

May we give Praise and Thanks to the Holy One who has given us Our Lady, The Tower of the Flock, Amen and Amen.

Grace and peace to you in the Messiah and Magdalene!

The contemplation of the Magdalene is always a great joy to me, as is the contemplation of the Messiah; and, in truth, for us, this is one and the same contemplation, the mystery of Groom and Bride, and their Holy Union.

Messiah, Anointed, is a title, and so also is Magdalene, Tower of the Flock, and yet when realized we may say that these become names, Holy Names of God; hence, Yeshua Messiah and Mirya of Magdala, the Magdalene.

As we know, Anointed Community is often spoken of as a "flock," and the Holy Tzaddik is often called the "shepherd of the flock." In this light if we contemplate the Magdalene, the "Tower of the Flock," this suggests a guardianship of the Community, and an overseeing of the Community, and an elevation or uplifting of the Community, or the guidance of the Community in the Great Ascension.

Shepherd of the Flock and Tower of the Flock are synonymous, but Magdalene, or Tower of the Flock, is a title given only to Lady Mirya, just as The Messiah is a title given only to Lord Yeshua, and we may inquire into what this means. As we know, Mirya was the inmost disciple, or companion, of Yeshua Messiah, and she was the co-preacher of the Gospel with him, and co-redeemer with him, and among his disciples, or companions, she was the one who was able to draw out teachings and revelations of the deepest inner and secret mysteries of the Gospel; on account of her invocations of teachings from Adonai Yeshua, everyone present would receive the inner and secret teachings, and would receive the power of the Holy Light and Holy Spirit that was in them. Likewise, as we know, she was the first to behold and receive the Risen Messiah, and was taken up in ascent with him, and became the Apostle of the Apostles, the first Holy Apostle of the Risen Messiah; on account of this, at the Pentecost, she became the conscious agent of the Supernal Light and Fire, and it poured out in the assembly through her presence, the first manifestation of Anointed Community being anchored by her, the Magdalene.

Thus, truly, she was, and is, the Tower of the Flock, and this designates the Apostle of Apostles, the first Holy Apostle of the Great Resurrection and Ascension, or Messianic Consciousness; no other can be the first Holy Apostle, so no other is called the Magdalene among us. It is just the same as Adonai Yeshua who was, and is, the firstborn from among the dead, and so he is called The Messiah, and no other.

There are, indeed, many esoteric associations with Yeshua Messiah and the Magdalene; first and foremost, there is the Messiah and the Shekinah of the Messiah, which corresponds with Tiferet-Beauty and Malkut-Kingdom. As we know, in Yeshua Messiah something of Zer Anpin (Little Face) is embodied, and likewise, something of Nukva (Daughter) is embodied in Magdalene, and therefore in their interaction and union, Zer Anpin and Nukva are unified; when unified, Nukva becomes Kallah (Bride) and Zer Anpin become Ben (Son), this corresponds with the Knowledge of God and Living Presence of God embodied, a true incarnation of the Divine.

Zer Anpin is also called Supernal Adam and Nukva is also called Supernal Havvah (Eve), and therefore in their union the Messiah and Magdalene are the complete image and likeness of the Human Being of Light, male and female in one Body of Light; hence, the manifestation of the true image and likeness of Yahweh Elohim.

This unification of Zer Anpin and Nukva, or Supernal Adam and Havvah, transpires and is made complete with the appearance of the Risen Messiah and the Magdalene's embrace of him in the resurrection; through their union in the resurrection the full Supernal Influx is invoked and received, the inner and secret Gospel is spoken and heard, and a new heaven and earth, and new humanity is generated, one that is Supernal and Divine.

Listen and hear, and understand! The greater Truth and Light of the Holy Gospel manifests with the resurrection, the appearance of the Risen Messiah and the Light Transmission that flows from him, and this greater Truth and Light is received and anchored in full by the Magdalene, the first Gnostic Apostle. The pure Desire to Give is met by the pure Desire to Receive, and therefore the Desire to Give and Receive are fulfilled, and are united as one Holy Desire (Ratzon Elyon). On account of this, the Magdalene is also called the Holy Grail, or Cup of Blessing, because she receives the outpouring of the Holy Light and Holy Spirit from the Perfect Tzaddik in full, and therefore all who have faith are able to receive the Supernal Influx, each according to their desire and capacity to receive.

Here we may say, through the Magdalene we know that we are all meant to embody the Spirit of the Messiah in full, just as our Elder Brother, Adonai Yeshua, and so are destined to the very same realization or enlightenment - Supernal or Messianic Consciousness; and we may say that she is the herald, and prophecy, of the Second Coming of the Messiah in Glory, hence the Second Coming being called the "full reception of the Holy Bride."

The Messiah returns in Glory (Kavod), and the nature of this Glory is many embodying the Spirit of the Messiah in full, or Messianic Consciousness in full, just as Yeshua and Mirya did; this greater Glory also corresponds with the title Tower of the Flock, for the true Anointed Community, or Living Body of the Messiah, is manifest through the knowledge that we, too, are destined to embody the Spirit of the Messiah in full, and be and become Messiah, Anointed.

This is the greater Truth and Light of the Holy Gospel preached, taught, in the resurrection by Hayyah Yeshua, the Risen Messiah. Ironically, though, the gospels canonized by the outer and unspiritual church end where this Gospel of Truth begins, and therefore the greater message of the Messiah, the Christ, has been lost, and the greater manifestation of the Holy Spirit has been lost. Thus, it is not surprising that the outer and unspiritual church has completely rejected the Holy Bride, the Magdalene, and the Gnostic Apostolic Succession of which she was, and is, the first Holy Apostle. In the Second Coming, however, which has begun among us, the Magdalene is being received, and the Gnostic Apostolic Succession is being restored - Anointed Community continues to manifest. Praise God!

There is something more to be said of the Magdalene. Her love, her passion, for the Lord burned hot; she had perfect devekut, passionate yearning and cleaving, and it was through this that she was able to receive the Spirit of the Messiah, the Supernal Anointing, in full, because this was her sole thought and desire, her single love in the fullness of faith and devotion. Thus, she shows us how to be a perfect follower of the Way, she shows us how to unfold this self-realization in the Messiah, through Divine Passion; hence, the full awakening, sublimation and uplifting of the Serpent Power.

As we know, on one level Our Lord and Our Lady are also personifications of the descending and ascending force of the Serpent Power, which when joined together in perfect union opens the way to the full influx of Supernal Light, the Supernal Consciousness-Force. In the Sanctuary of Grace this great awakening of the Divine Presence and Power in us happens naturally and spontaneously through faith and devotion, faith and love; living within, open to the Holy Light from above, and engaging in secluded prayer and meditation, and gifted worship, cleaving to the Risen Messiah as Magdalene cleaved, so Divine Grace brings about this awakening, this realization of the Messiah in us. Hallelu Yah! Praise the Lord!

Whether male or female, we are all meant to have such passionate faith and devotion as the Magdalene; only through this is the full realization of our soul and Knowledge of God possible.

Tower of the Flock, uplifted Desire = the fulfillment of Ratzon Elyon, the Desire or Will of the Most High.

It must be said, however, as we see in the story of the Magdalene, this Holy Desire is not something removed from us, but rather, it is our inmost heart's desire, the dreams we have in life that come from the inner aspects of our soul. Each of us has, and is, a unique manifestation of this Holy Desire, Ratzon Elyon, and when we are willing and we return to God, the Spirit of God, the Spirit of the Messiah, will fulfill this heart's desire.

In closing we may share something spoken in the oral tradition: "The Lord is Peace and the Magdalene is Joy."

May we receive this Peace and Joy, this Light and Fire, in full, so that we might bring this Peace and Joy to the world. Amen.

These were some contemplations and a prayer I was inclined to share today. Truly, it is always a delight to contemplate the Magdalene, the Holy Bride! Praise God the Mother for the greater revelation and reception of Kallah Messiah, the Anointed Bride, in these times!

Messiah Shalom!

Shalom!

I was contemplating what was said: "This unification of Zer Anpin and Nukva, or Supernal Adam and Havvah, transpires and is made complete with the appearance of the Risen Messiah and the Magdalene's embrace of him in the resurrection; through their union in the resurrection the full Supernal Influx is invoked and received, the inner and secret Gospel is spoken and heard, and a new heaven and earth, and new humanity is generated, one that is Supernal and Divine."

If Magdalene and Yeshua engender a new, Supernal humanity, can we say that Yeshua and Magdalene--Zer Anpin and Nukva become Abba and Imma in this union? Can we say then that when someone embodies this Supernal light that Yeshua and Magdalene become their Father and their Mother? Since they are the Father and Mother of Supernal humanity?

I was also contemplating: "Listen and hear, and understand! On account of this, the Magdalene is also called the Holy Grail, or Cup of Blessing, because she receives the outpouring of the Holy Light and Holy Spirit from the Perfect Tzaddik in full, and therefore all who have faith are able to receive the Supernal Influx, each according to their desire and capacity to receive."

Ratzon in Hebrew is will or desire, and is associated with Keter on the Tree of Life. Is this implying that in their union, Zer Anpin and Kallah draw upon something of Keter? I was also thinking about how Keter is beyond all thought and thinking, completely inconceivable, unknowable, unnamable. Does this imply that something of this union creates something greater than the sum of its parts? This reminds me of how it was said that in the resurrection, Yeshua and Magdalene generate a new humanity. Because by two people embodying this Supernal light, innumerable beings are able to receive and embody it. Somehow it take two to embody this, Yeshua could not have done it alone. I am reminded of the saying "Separation for the sake of union" in this. That is, there MUST be separation if there is to be union. I am also reminded of the saying of Yeshua "Where two or more are gathered in my name so also am I there." Is this implying that wherever the desire to give and the desire to receive are joined, the Christ presence is manifest?

May the Desire to receive and the Desire to give come into union within us. May All Beings be Blessed! Amen.

Blessings and Shalom,

Marion

Greetings and blessings in the Light of the Messiah!

In the oral tradition it is said that Adonai Yeshua and Lady Mirya had children together, and that their names were "St. Michael" and "St. Sarah." If we consider these children as metaphorical, rather than literal, St. Michael corresponds with the Light Transmission and self-realization in the Messiah - Messianic Consciousness, and Sarah corresponds with the Gnostic Apostolic Succession founded upon this. In this sense, Yeshua and Mirya are, indeed, the spiritual father and mother of a new humanity; though, in general, we would say that they are the prototype of a new humanity, and our Elder Brother and Sister.

In the Gospel there is the Mother and Child, and the Holy Bride, and they correspond with Imma, Zer Anpin and Nukva below, respectively; there is no embodiment of Abba below, at least not directly. Adonai Yeshua, however, does say that one who has seen him, has seen the Father, Abba, and as we know he embodies the full shefa, influx, of the Thirty-Two Paths of Wisdom contained in Hokmah, or Abba. Thus, in Yeshua Messiah something of Abba is revealed, embodied.

As we know, when Zer Anpin and Nukva are joined, coupled, Zer Anpin becomes Ben and Nukva becomes Kallah, and in their fruition they are joined to Abba and Imma, which is to say, they become vehicles of a greater Supernal Influx. Their union below brings about the union of Abba and Imma above, which invokes an even greater Supernal Influx; hence, an influx from Arik Anpin and Atik Yomin, the Big Face and Ancient of Days. The Six and Malkut of Atzilut, or Ben and Kallah, become the vehicle of this Supernal Influx, and in This World, the Risen Messiah and Magdalene become the vehicle of this Supernal Influx, the inmost gradations of the Light Transmission corresponding with this influx of the Supernals.

Through this Supernal Influx the Habad of Atzilut, or Habad of the Messiah, is generated, This World is manifest, or the Kingdom of Heaven is manifest, on earth, and something of the World-To-Come is revealed; this corresponds with a new humanity, and new heaven and new earth, the Supernal Realization.

Tiferet and Malkut are unified in Yeshua and Magdalene, and from Malkut the Supernal Influx enters into This World, through Magdalene, the fullness of the Light Transmission, or Supernal Influx, is received; and so she is called "Tower of the Flock," and rightly so. Because she receives the full Supernal Influx, or Light Transmission, so the entire assembly of disciples, companions, receives it, each according to their desire and capacity to receive, and so it is with Tzaddik and Anointed Community in the Gnostic Apostolic Succession to this very day, the Tzaddik or Apostle receives this Supernal Influx, more or less, and so all in Community receive it according to their desire and capacity to receive it. The Tzaddik is as the Risen Messiah and the Community is as the Holy Bride, and through them, This World is made manifest, the Light Transmission is manifest on earth for all who desire to receive it.

The gradations of Light Transmission that are manifest, though, correspond largely with the Six and Malkut of Atzilut, or Zer Anpin and Nukva; if there is the manifestation of Habad of Atzilut, or Hokmah-Binah-Da'at, it is through Ruach Elohim or Divine Grace - the fruition of this self-realization comes through the Holy Light and Spirit of God. Thus, in the Gnostic Apostolic Succession, we impart the gradations of Light Transmission corresponding with Tiferet and the Six Extremities, and Malkut, and it is the Spirit of God, Ruach Elohim, Ruach Yahweh, that brings Habad of Atzilut. It is for this reason that Adonai Yeshua says to his disciples that he leaves them with the Spirit of Truth, Ruach Elohim, that will illuminate them and bring them into all Truth (Amet), which is to say enlightenment and liberation.

When Ben becomes Abba and Kallah becomes Imma, this corresponds to the realization of souls in the World-To-Come, not This World; the manifestation of This World is in the unification of Zer Anpin and Nukva, and its perfection is in the unification of Ben and Kallah.

Here we may say, Ben corresponds with the full Knowledge of God in union with God, and Kallah corresponds with "Eden," the delight of this union, or the embodiment of God. The acquisition if this Holy Knowledge and Embodiment - generation of the Threefold Body, is our labor of the Second Coming in the Messiah, the Anointed.

The Threefold Body, of course, is the Holy Vessel of Reception for the greater Supernal Influx and is the manifestation of the power of Habad of Atzilut.

Through the Supernal Grace of God in the Risen Messiah all of this comes to pass. Hallelu Yah! Praise the Lord!

In closing we can say that through the Risen Messiah and Magdalene Vau and He are added to Yod-He, and the tikkune of The Name is accomplished; hence, the Supernal Influx they embody, and so now Tzaddik and Anointed Community.

O Adonai we praise and bless You Holy Name, and we pray, let the Vessel of Reception be manifest in our generation so that we, and all who are in the world, might receive Your Supernal Grace, Supernal Light. Amen.

Yahweh Shalom!

Hair of the Magdalene

#5 Postby +David » Sun Jul 28, 2013 10:29 am

Greetings Elder Brother

A little while ago, I was looking at an "art book" on Christian saints. Its text told how, in traditional sacred art, Mary Magdalene is the only saint ever shown naked - although covered by her Red hair.

I found this delightful. Hair is often a symbol for light-rays flowing from the head. And the Red hair gives a sense of the Fiery Power, which she embodies - both veiling and adorning her like a Bridal-veil of Fire..

Although in Tibetan art the Dakinis are usually shown with black hair; the same tradition also says that "incarnate Dakinis" (and Dakas) can be recognized by their red hair.

I was deeply touched by the account of a modern Tibetan adept, who became so deeply absorbed in Samadhi, that it was feared that he would pass Beyond and "be seen no more". None of the supplications of his disciples could arouse him from the absorption.

It was only when the soft voice of his Sag-Yum (his Shekinah-consort) spoke of the sufferings of beings, of the proliferation of false teaching, of this Age of Darkness, that his consciousness returned and his eyes opened. She had ANCHORED him, and his Light-Presence, back in Malkut.

This seems to me, to be like in Sufism where, there is the Shahid: the disciple in whom the Sheik always 'sees God'. Not necessarily the most intellectual, or attained of the Sheik's disciples - often it is the 'quiet one' - often the one who has been most 'stained' - or hurt - by the world.

"This day I have seen My Lord in human form" Rumi.

Blessed be all those who anchor the Tzaddikim to this Earth, and thus keep them among us.

Winged Flocks

#6 Postby Elder Gideon » Tue Jul 30, 2013 5:30 am

Shalom!

He also said, ‘With what can we compare the kingdom of God, or what parable will we use for it? It is like a mustard seed, which, when sown upon the ground, is the smallest of all the seeds on earth; yet when it is sown it grows up and becomes the greatest of all shrubs, and puts forth large branches, so that the birds of the air can make nests in its shade.’ (Mark 4:30-32)

Among the many insights in a continuum with teachings of Asherah, one which touched me deeply this summer while manifesting a stained glass window of Asherah regards a new appreciation of the Tower of the Flock. There, where leaves are 'burning but not consumed' as was described of the Burning Bush before Moses, are such a variety of shapes and movements that I perceive angelic, winged beings. Then, as a gentle voice over in my mind, I heard the Holy Spirit say through my gazing at the Asherah Tree, "I am tower of winged flocks as well."

Towers may be made with stones, yet great trees tower as well. Flocks may be sheep, yet 'birds of a feather flock together.' I'm enamored ever since by the contemplation of Our Lady, the Tower of the Flock, as Asherah in whose branches and shade maggidim find rest and resonance.

We bless you, Beloved Lady, for the place you hold for us in every generation to perch.

Re: Tower of the Flock - Asherah

#7 Postby Tau Malachi » Tue Jul 30, 2013 12:15 pm

Grace and peace to you from Yahweh Elohim, Shaddai, and from Hayyah Yeshua!

Indeed, the Tower of the Flock may also be called the Tree of the Flock, and as we know, an esoteric Name of the Messiah is Asher Eheieh, and the Name of the Shekinah of Messiah is Asherah, Asher with the addition of the letter He, which represents the Shekinah in the Great Name of Yahweh, and so also in the Blessed Name of Yeshua. As the shekinah consort of Adonai Yeshua, embodying the Shekinah of the Messiah, so Asherah is a name of the Magdalene, and she is as an Asherah Tree in the assembly; very much so!

She was, and is, one on fire with the Holy Spirit, and one who is burned utterly away by Divine Passion, her soul merged completely with the Beloved, Messiah, inseparable from the Shekinah of the Messiah; this corresponds with the Name of the Magdalene, Kallah Messiah, Anointed Bride.

Kallah Messiah, Asherah, this is the Magdalene, and this is the meaning of "Magdalene" to us.

"Birds of the air," or angels of God, roost in this Holy Tree, Asherah Tree; the spirits of tzaddikim and maggidim, this is the good company of the Holy Shekinah, and through them the Holy Shekinah becomes manifest, and the Light Transmission happens. In every movement of the Holy Spirit, in every healing and wonder, with every prophecy and revelation, in every moment of Light Transmission, there is the divine action of the angels of God; they pray and co-labor continually with anyone who receives the Messiah, the Anointing, and abides in the company of the Holy Shekinah.

We may recall in the legends of the Holy Bride that when the Holy Bride returns from her exile in Babylon, seven demons are exorcised from her, and seven great angels are set into her, angels coming to roost, or rest, in the Asherah Tree, the shekinah consort; she is restored to her former grade or abode in this way, at that time. Then, when she cleaves to the Risen Messiah and is uplifted in ascension with him, she is exalted to her destined abode in unification with the Messiah, Asher Eheieh; it is then that the Supernal Shekinah comes to rest upon her in full and she becomes Kallah Messiah, and in this there is knowledge of the primordial and supernal angels, and full Knowledge of God, Da'at of Atzilut (or Habad of Atzilut).

There is knowledge of angels of creation, corresponding with Da'at of Yetzirah and Da'at of Beriyah, and there is knowledge of primordial and supernal angels, corresponding with Da'at of Atzilut; this latter comes with the Supernal Anointing, the dawn of Supernal or Messianic Consciousness, and with this knowledge one is set above the angels of creation, and stands among the ancient supernal ones, just as Enoch was exalted above the angels, and Elijah after him.

The knowledge of the angels of God is most intimate with the dawn of Supernal Consciousness, for we know them as God knows them; as much as external to us, and surrounding us, so they are internal, within us - there is no more intimate knowledge, da'at, of angels than this.

Now, indeed, the Holy Bride is the Tower of the Flock in heaven and on earth, and that Holy Flock is composed of anointed souls and anointed angels, all in heaven and on earth who receive the Messiah, the Supernal Anointing.

The Holy Bride corresponds with Anointed Community. As we have seen, heard and know in our experience of Light Transmission, the invisible and heavenly assembly of a true Holy Tzaddik is far greater than their visible and earthly assembly; along with all manner of living spirits, there are angels of creation, as well as supernal angels, in their invisible assembly, and all of these beings, visible and invisible, form the Anointed Community.

The Anointed Tzaddik corresponds with Asher, and the Anointed Community corresponds with Asherah; luminous spirits and angels are coming and going in the Living Presence of Tzaddik and Community all of the time, and angels abide with them and pray with them continually, without cessation. Hallelu El! Praise God!

If we live like the angels, and worship like the angels, worshiping God in spirit and truth, so we abide in the good company of the Shekinah of Messiah, and the Asherah Tree is manifest in our midst! Hallelu Yah! Praise the Lord!

In closing, perhaps we might recall, and contemplate, the angelic attendants of the Bridal Chamber - the anointed angels who abide in our Holy Communion; they are the angels of the Messiah who have received the Supernal Light, their Supernal Power having come into them. When the Supernal Light and Supernal Shekinah came into the Magdalene, so it came into these angels, along with souls that opened to it.

In the Second Coming, with the greater and greater Supernal Influx received and embodied in This World, so there is a greater Supernal Influx in heaven, among the angels of God, and with it greater Supernal Power is coming into them.

May the full Glory and Power of Asher-Asherah be manifest in our midst, and may all our relations be blessed and uplifted. Amen.

Messiah Shalom!
