Fifty Gates of Understanding (Binah)

Revelation of the Fifty Gates of Understanding

An outline of the Fifty Gates of Understanding accompanies some editions of the Sefer Yetzirah therefore I’m inclined to post the revelation of the Fifty Gates here in our Sefer Yetzirah forum. The two outlines that I’ve seen have been ill conceived, that or filled with “blinds” and very poorly translated. Thus, during my spiritual retreat I’ve been contemplating the Fifty Gates and my experience of them in the Light Continuum over the years and, praying for revelation and clarification from the Spirit of God and Tzaddikim in my communion, to write an outline for the Christian Kabbalah of our lineage. The following is the new teaching I wish to share in community.

Introduction to the Gates of Understanding

There are Fifty Gate of Understanding (Binah), Ben-Yah, “Son of God,” corresponding with the Works of Creation (Ma’aseh Bereshit), the play of creative evolution, emanation, creation, formation and action, all according to the will of El Elyon, the Supreme. The fiftieth gate corresponds with the Son of God, the Messiah, the Anointed who enters into the experience of conscious union with the Sefirot, and with the Infinite and Eternal (Ain Sof, Yahweh); from the first gate to the last gate, the gates correspond with cycles and developments of evolution and the ascension of life from the primordial chaos and void through elemental, mineral, vegetable, animal, human, heavenly and angelic realms into the Supernal Abode, or the Palace of the Messiah. According to the Holy Kabbalah the prophet Moses was able to open and enter forty-nine gates, but was not able to open and enter the fiftieth gate, for he was not the Messiah, and could not withstand the full influx of the Supernal Light and Spirit of God (Ruach Elohim), and therefore did not experience Supernal or Messianic Consciousness, or conscious unification with the Supernal Sefirot and the Infinite One. Through the full embodiment of the Holy Light and Spirit, however, and his complete self-offering on the cross, Yeshua Messiah was able to open and enter the fiftieth gate, and through him the way is opened for us to enter into the fiftieth gate, and those who engage perfect cleaving (devekut) to the Messiah, Adonai Messiah gathers into that most holy mystery, revealing the Great Natural Perfection of the soul, the enlightenment and liberation of the soul in the Infinite and Eternal. Praise the Lord!

In closing we can share that it is through the Fifty Gates of Understanding, and specifically through the Fiftieth Gate, that the full knowledge and power of the Thirty-Two Paths of Wisdom is acquired, and likewise the understanding of aliyat neshamah, mystical ascents of the soul to sojourn them.

May the Spirit of God grant us understanding of the Mysteries! Amen.

Shalom!

Thank you so much for this teaching! Such teachings are profound and contain much depth, and it is often challenging to find where to ‘grab hold’ of such teachings, much like Sephir Yetzirah and other source works.

So, please forgive me as I struggle to find purchase on this teaching, and thank you again for outlining this teaching more clearly, since it is so central to many of our studies in Kabbalah!

I notice that these gates are organized into five groups of ten, each grouping containing its own potency. For clarity, I will attempt to summarize the groupings as they are presented:

1-10 = Generation of primordial elements from void and generation of matter
11-20 = Generation of life
21-30 = Generation of the soul
31-40 = Heavens in ascending order
41-49 = Choirs of Angels
50. Ain Sof, the Infinite, Or Ain Sof, Light of the Infinite, the Messiah

They appear to have an order to them that makes a lot of sense. Upon contemplation it does not appear to be a strictly linear order, however, since many of these categories interpenetrate one another. What mysteries are therefore being communicated by these groupings and their ordering?

Shalom Tau Malachi!

Grace and Peace to all this day in the Name of Adonai Yeshua Messiah!

Thank you for drawing out this complex and beautiful teaching Brother Phillip.

As we begin to engage this sacred contemplation given here, a couple questions come to mind that perhaps may be clarified.

In provisional teachings on the Days of Creation as they relate to the Sefirot, sometimes when we speak of "seed bearing Grasses" and such we view such phrases as not literal interpretation (such as an actual creation of a Great Dragon) but tend to see deeper esoteric meaning behind these terms.

In the context of this contemplation, I hopefully ask can both intrepretations from teacihings, be applied  (the literal and the more esoteric)? Or perhaps would another method be more fruitful?

In regards to the ascending order of angels the question comes mind from a recent pointing about the fluidity of the Orders of Angels. As has been spoken sometimes there can be inner and outer orders of say the Seraphim, perhaps the Inner Order residing in Atzilut, but outer orders moving thru the various Olamot.

In this regard when we see the 39th Gate as the 8th heaven and the 50th Gate as Ain Sof can the order of angels as given be contemplated as Inner Orders of angels moving in the upper Olamot?

With great respect,
Star

Grace and peace to you in Messiah Yeshua!

There is another esoteric teaching of the Fifty Gates of Understanding in our Christian Kabbalah that speaks of the gates as the ten Sefirot manifest in the five Olamot from Asiyah to Adam Kadmon. In that teaching the first gate corresponds with Malkut of Asiyah and the final gate corresponds with Keter of Adam Kadmon, which is completely inseparable from Ain Sof, the Infinite One. The teaching given here, though, is a more common teaching of the Fifty Gates, one focused upon the play of creative evolution initiated by Elohim, corresponding with Binah, and driven by Ruach Elohim. Thus, in this teaching the gates are attributed to a somewhat logical series of developments in the cycles of creative evolution, beginning in primordial chaos and void, and the primordial abyss, and the arising of the yesodot, the primordial elements of consciousness, then the generations of matter and the mineral kingdom, the vegetable and animal kingdoms, the human kingdom, the heavenly and angelic kingdoms, and ultimately the realization of the source and foundation of the entire matrix of creation, the Infinite and Eternal One.

In this we see the First Order, the Elementary Order, which resembles the Great Vision of Melchizedek of the arising of consciousness from the primordial foundation, the Second Order, the Life Order, which encompasses the mineral, vegetable and animal realms, and the Third Order, the Human Order, which encompasses material or bestial humankind, faithful or psychic humankind, spiritual humanity, and enlightened and supernal humanity reaching into Adam Kadmon - primordial enlightenment. Following this is the Fourth Order, the Heavenly Order, encompassing the heavens, and then the Fifth Order, the Angelic Order, encompassing the principle orders of angels (outer and inner), including archangels, and finally there is the Sixth Order, the Divine Order, the Messiah and the Infinite. If we look, we see that the Angelic Order overlaps the Heavenly Order, so that only nine gates are given to the heavens, but this alludes to the reality of the heavens being composed of angels. If we consider the Heavenly, Angelic and Divine Orders following the Human Order, this corresponds with the progressive spiritual and supernal realization of humanity, the ascension of humanity, the enlightenment and liberation of souls, the culmination of which is complete reintegration with the Light of the Infinite, and conscious unification with the Eternal One; hence, the Messiah, or Messianic Consciousness.

Now, if we consider the attributing of holy and enlightened ones and Adam Kadmon before the heavens and angels, attributes that seem to suggest something like the Fiftieth Gate and the Messiah, there are two great mysteries that this connotes. First, it implies Adam Kadmon asleep and dreaming, in the process of awakening, versus Adam Kadmon as the One-Who-Never-Sleeps, and it implies a certain enlightenment before the Messiah, and another with the coming of the Messiah; hence, the enlightenment in mental consciousness, cosmic consciousness, and the enlightenment in supramental consciousness, Supernal or Messianic Consciousness - two distinct grades of Mochin Gadlut or God Consciousness. Second, it implies that from one world-system to another in which humanity, or intelligent life emerges, there will be a generation of different heavens and angels, though one and the same God; even in a given world-system, having different peoples and lands, and different revelations of enlightenment or God, there are various generations of the heavens and angels, as we see in our world among different peoples in different lands. Thus, truly, there are deep teachings and revelations of mysteries in the order of the Fifty Gates as given, alluding to grand secrets for those who have eyes to see and ears to hear, who contemplate and probe the mysteries of the gates.

There are many ways to contemplate the Work of Creation (Ma’aseh Bereshit). The contemplation of the Seven Days of Creation, and corresponding Sefirot is one of them, and the Fifty Gates is another, and from one to another there is a different angle or context of contemplation. As an example, generally speaking, most of the time we are considering the Work of Creation from the view of creation emanating from the Infinite and Sefirot, the heavens and angels preceding the creation of the earth and life on earth, but here, with the Fifty Gates, we are contemplating creative evolution, and an ascent towards the Highest of Life, the embodiment of Enlightenment or God Consciousness; hence, the Fifty Gates representing the Path of Return, and alluding to the Work of Salvation.

As for the interpretation and meanings of things in the story of creation as told in Genesis, there are layers of interpretation and meaning. In general we cannot take what is written literally, for if read literally the sequence of events, quite frankly, is problematic and makes no sense. Just consider fundamental religionists who literally believe God created the heavens and earths in six days, and who cannot accept the sound evidence of evolution, and fail to note and address profoundly problematic points in the story of creation, such as the existence of grass and trees before the existence of the sun and moon, or the existence of human beings outside the garden of Eden when, supposedly, Adam and Eve were the first human beings and there were not others, but nevertheless there were other human beings from which their sons were able to acquire wives. If we consider it, the story is very dream-like, and clearly is meant to allude to greater metaphysical mysteries of existence, and so needs to be interpreted and understood in this context, rather like the interpretation of dreams, and likewise with an eye for the metaphysical dimensions within and behind physical reality and existence.

Shalom Aleichem!

Shalom Tau Malachi!

My heart leaps with joy at the beauty of this teaching, and thank you very much for the wonderful pointing out!

I am wondering if more can be shared in regard to Gate 25 and 26?
This is new to my hearing. There seems to be perhaps a pivot point with these Gates being mid-way.(?)

Perhaps more can be drawn out?

Blessing!

Greetings and blessings in the Holy Light of the Messiah!

First there is the mystery of the Human One as male and female, Adam and Havvah, and then there is the mystery of the Complete Human Being in Coupling, suggesting the union of male and female after separation specifically, and suggesting the union of opposites in general. First, it needs to be understood that the fullness of the Human One, or completion of the Human One, is neither male nor female, but rather the fullness or completion of the Human One is in ‘coupling,’ the unification or merger of male and female; this is reflected even on the bestial and material level of humankind, for to generate new life, to conceive another human being, requires a unification and exchange of male and female, and something similar is true on psychic and spiritual levels as well, understanding the saying, “As above, so below; as below, so above.”

Essentially, male and female complete one another, and apart from one another they are incomplete; thus, the fullness, completion, of the Human One is in ‘coupling,’ the union of male and female.

Something more, however, than the material and bestial level is implied, for as we know neshamah is ‘male’ and ‘female,’ and ruach corresponds with ‘male’ and nefesh with ‘female,’ and it is ordained that female and male in us be united, that ruach and nefesh merge, and that it is through this that neshamah, or divine soul, enters into incarnation and is embodied; likewise, aside from this, all of us have masculine and feminine principles and faculties, and in the awakening and realization of the soul, our being, the masculine and feminine need to be harmonized and unified, all of these principles and faculties actualized and realized - the fullness of an enlightened human being, perfect and complete.

This mystery plays out in the Gnostic Gospel, which teaches the fullness of the Messiah, the Human One of Light, incarnate in Lord Yeshua and the Magdalene, who is co-preacher and co-redeemer with him; in their mystical union the complete image and likeness of Yahweh Elohim, the Eternal God, is made manifest - the perfection and completion of humanity, supernal and divine.

Thus, this mystery also plays out in Anointed Community, composed of women and men receiving their anointing with the Holy Light and Spirit of God, laboring together as co-equals in harmony, love, for the manifestation of the kingdom of heaven on earth and the uplifting of souls in the Great Ascension; a spiritual community composed of all women or all men is, by nature, imperfect and incomplete, for the fullness of the Human One of Light, or complete image and likeness of Yahweh Elohim, is not made manifest in it.

Now, the gate that follows, the mystery of the five “human faces,” or five Holy Partzufim, this is the revelation of the image and likeness of the Infinite and Eternal One in the image and likeness of a human being, but this assumes the emanation, creation formation and making of the Human One, and the evolution and generation of the Human as reflected in the mysteries associated with the previous gates of the Third Order, the Human Order. Thus, the revelation of Arik Anpin (Big Face), Abba (Father) Zer Anpin (Little Face), or Ben (Son), and Nukva (Daughter) is the mystery of the following gate, and in it you will note that play of unity, separation and coupling, or reunification, implied. Until the Human One comes into being, and the generations of the Human One are set into motion, this revelation of the Infinite and Eternal would not be possible; first and foremost because there would be no creature to receive it, but also because the forms through which it would take place would not exist, there would be no image and likeness of the Human One through which the image and likeness of the Eternal God could be revealed and made manifest.

Now, in terms of the union of opposites, as stated above, the union of male and female implies the power to unite any and all opposites, such as light and darkness, heaven and earth, or God and creation; thus, the power of ‘coupling’ in the Human One goes much further than the unification of male and female, certainly so! It may be said that the very nature of true humanity, or spiritual humanity, is the harmonization and unification of opposites, which is alluded to in the attribute of the Messiah - Enlightened Humanity, to Tiferet (Beauty), which is also called the ‘Harmonizer.’

Shalom Aleichem!

"He is the image of the invisible God [El, Elohim], the firstborn of all creation; for in him all things in heaven and on earth were created, things visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or powers - all things have been created through him and for him”

“He himself is before all things, and in him all things hold together. He is the head of the body, [Anointed Community]; he is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that he might come to have first place in everything. For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through him God was pleased to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, by making peace through the blood of the cross” Colossians 1:1-20).

Would the above verses from Colossians perhaps be fruitful as we engage in this context and application of the 50 Gates of Understanding?

As has been taught before: Adonai Yeshua manifests the Sanctuary of Grace by way of the crucifixion and resurrection – this being a magical action releasing sin in those who have faith and cleave. In these miraculous actions there it is revealing of the true dream-like nature of reality, and we can perhaps see that Yeshua Messiah is opening the Gate or Door for us showing the way to the realization of Supernal in ourselves and our current world system.

Blessed Be The Name!

Shalom,

Yes, indeed, those verses, as well as others in the New Testament, are a direct expression of the wisdom of the Fifty Gates of Understanding, and specifically the mystery of the Fiftieth Gate as the Messiah. They offer a wonderful contemplation of the Fifty Gates, and it's good that they are shared here.

Blessings!

Great Exodus

#9 Postby Elder Gideon » Fri Jul 29, 2016 3:00 pm

Feast Day Shalom, Tau Malachi:

With the Fifty Gates, we are contemplating creative evolution, and an ascent towards the Highest of Life, the embodiment of Enlightenment or God Consciousness; hence, the Fifty Gates representing the Path of Return, and alluding to the Work of Salvation.

I've needed much time with this topic, as it's so vast and meta-dimensional. Hearing how this teaching of Creation is parallel with the accounts in Genesis 1-2 is helpful, all the more so as we come to appreciate the distinction of how the Fifty Gates are focused upon the play of creative evolution initiated by Elohim, corresponding with Binah, and driven by Ruach Elohim. As evolutionary and developmental, rather than 'created,' each of these Gates describe a seamless array of contexts patterning how living beings in any world system recognize and realize their conscious return the Supernal Mother.

Many of my studies of these Fifty Gates in Zohar and Rabbi Nachman, share a predominant theme of exodus. In Lesson 45 of Rabbi Nachman's Likutey Moharan, he makes many correspondences of the Fifty Gates with the principle of Exodus. For example, the Hebrew word who, mi, enumerates 50. The number of days between departing Egypt and arriving at Sinai are 50. By adding a numerical value for the word itself spelling the word Jubilee, Yovel, he enumerates 50. The number of times the Exodus from Egypt is mentioned numbers 50. What's most rich is that a Hebrew word for redemption, Hageulah, also enumerates 50.

Before I ask of further mysteries of the Fifty Gates, I wish to pause here and inquire what more may be said of all of these Fifty Gates as a pattern of release and redemption? How does such release co-exist with Imma who is simultaneously the source of the Law that appears to bind souls to the gilgalim?

Gratefully,

Elder Gideon

Blessings to you in the Holy Light of Yeshua, the Redeemer!

There is a unification of the realm of being and realm of becoming in Binah, or Elohim; in effect Binah is the threshold, and by extension Da’at, between the eternal realm and the matrix of creation, or space-time. You may recall that I’ve taught elsewhere that Binah, Elohim, holds the vision of the entire continuum of creative evolution in the eternal realm (Yichud), so that all that shall come to pass in creation is seen and know as a present reality, eternity transcending the play of time, or past, present and future; Binah, Elohim, is also involved in the matrix of creation (Perud), moving within and behind the continuum of creative evolution, driving it, and holds, preserves, all developments, all that has transpired and is transpiring in the evolution of creation, and spirits and souls. All in a great mystery the reality of the eternal realm is being realized within space-time, the matrix of creation, and being and becoming are inseparable from one another. This inseparability of timeless-eternity and time-eternity is an essential mystery of Binah, Elohim. That living spirits and souls are ultimately destined to redemption, or enlightenment and liberation though, corresponds with the reality of being in the eternal realm, the reality of living spirits and souls as they are in the Light Continuum and the Infinite One.

Understand, as they are in themselves, and in their evolution, beings are not equal, a flea and a human being are not equal in intelligence, power and such, likewise, a human being and angel are not equal in intelligence, power and such, but as they are in the Light Continuum and the Infinite One, they are all equal, realized or enlightened being, supernal and divine. This “equality” within and behind the apparent “inequality” is realized through the gilgulim, the transmigration of spirits and soul, a journey through literally countless incarnations, in an evolution through countless gradations of spiritual realization until the inmost aspect of living spirits and souls is awakened, realized and embodied - the Messiah.

Now, just as there is a manifestation of Binah in Atzilut, Beriyah, Yetzirah and Asiyah, so there are corresponding manifestations of the Fifty Gates; the gates as they are in Atzilut are the same from one world to another, but their manifestation in Beriyah, Yetzirah and Asiyah is different from one world to another, for the actual evolution of life from one world to another assumes different forms, and is individual and unique, though the essential principles, cycles and developments are fundamentally the same, and always there is this continuum of evolution towards the Highest of Life, the Messiah - the embodiment of Divine or Enlightened Being.

These gates are present from the very beginning, but there must be a corresponding development and evolution of life and lifeforms, and a progressive awakening of spirits and souls, for these gates to be opened, or become actualized and realized in a world; these gates correspond to the intention and vision of the Eternal One for creation, an intention and vision that is realized through an ongoing creative evolution, and ongoing embodiment of the One Light and Life that is the radiance of the Infinite and Eternal.

As we know, everything transpires in the upper, interior worlds before it transpires in the lower, exterior world, and likewise, creation happens in the interior worlds and then formation and making happen, or the arising in exterior world. Along with the reality of things in the eternal realm, the vision of the entirety of creation from beginning to end held in it, this is how prophecy and revelation are possible, tzaddikim and navim are able to see, hear and feel developments and movements in the inner dimensions and inner worlds, and therefore acquire foresight of things that will transpire in the lower, exterior world, or this dimension and this world. All in a great mystery, however, there is something of a reciprocal interaction and exchange between the spiritual and material worlds, and between heaven and earth, and stirrings below, movements below, invoke stirrings above, movements above, and can generate new creations and movements in the interior worlds and heaven, as for example when new teachings and revelations of the Torah and Gospel are spoken new angels and new heavens are created, and that likewise through prayer that are uttered angels are strengthened and heavens are expanded. All in a mystery it is ordained that the presence and power of things in the interior worlds and heavens are actualized and realized through this world, and until actualized and realized in the material universe and worlds in some way remain a potential unrealized. Thus, there are movements of revelation from above, from heaven and God, and there are stirrings below, on earth and in life, and through this the matrix of creation becomes manifest and the continuum of creative evolution progresses, moving towards the generation of the Highest of Life - the Messiah.

As taught in Genesis, “In the beginning Elohim created the heavens and the earth” (1:1), interior worlds preceding the exterior world, but until the generation of humanity on earth in the material evolution of life the knowledge and power of the heavens, angels and the Messiah - enlightenment and liberation, could not be actualized and realized in this world. As we know, creation happens through a restriction of the Light of the Infinite, and the generation of an illusion of separation, living spirits and souls arising from a primordial unconscious unity in ignorance of their foundation and origin in the Infinite and Eternal One, and therefore living spirits and souls become bound up in potentially endless rounds of transmigration, a continuum of countless incarnations through mineral, vegetable, animal and spiritual life. This is necessary for the individuation of spirits and souls, and their awakening, and their development of the ability to recognize and realize their innate union with the Infinite and Eternal, conscious reintegration with the Light of the Infinite - Messiah. Ruach Elohim moves with, in and through creative evolution, and manifests as the matrix of creation, orchestrating the evolution of life towards the Highest of Life, driving spirits and souls forward in evolution, and through revelation stirring the capacity of conscious evolution and return to God (El, Elohim). In this process there is a secret operation of the Spirit of God within creation, stirring from below, arising from below, and there is a stirring from above, revelation from above, laboring for the redemption of spirits and souls, the enlightenment and liberation of all creatures in heaven and on earth; and the culmination of this movement of the Spirit of God is the coming of the Messiah, the Savior and Gnostic Revealer, the one who embodies the fullness of the Spirit of God (Ruach Elohim) and the Holy Light - Supernal Being-Consciousness-Force.

The entire play of the Fifty Gates of Understanding is this process of redemption, this enlightenment and liberation - conscious union with the Infinite and Eternal One, conscious reintegration with the Light of the Infinite; hence, the generation of knowledge and understanding, and with knowledge and understanding, wisdom.

Remember, Binah is called Teshuvah, “repentance” or “return to God,” and Binah is called “Ascension,” therefore this is the very nature of the Fifty Gates - the return to God, the Great Ascension. Praise God!

This seems to is enough for today.

On this Holy Day may many living spirits and souls be touched by the Holy Spirit and awakened, and may many be gathered into the Great Ascension! Amen.

Shabbat Shalom!

Blessings to you in the Holy Name of Yahweh, Yeshua!

When we use the phrase ‘creative evolution’ it is synonymous with the word ‘creation.’ Using this phrase we teach that the principle of creation and Creator does not contradict or conflict in any way with the principle of evolution, but rather that in the generation of creation the Spirit of God creates through the process of evolution, the Divine Intelligence orchestrating and directing the various developments in the evolution of life and various forms of life. If you consider it the six days of creation imply something of an evolution, the creation of humanity at the conclusion of the sixth day following the creation of all other creatures clearly implies it. If we look at the teaching and attributes of the Fifty Gate I’ve shared here it speaks of clear developments in an evolution of consciousness and intelligence, and life, from a primeval origin to the coming of the Messiah in the human life-wave, the development of something more than human from within humanity, the generation of divine and supernal being.

The entire matrix of creation and everything that appears in it is in its essence and nature Ain (No-Thingness), and is a radiant display of consciousness; the substance of all is consciousness, and the foundation of consciousness is the Infinite and Eternal, or Ain and the Clear Light Nature. As we know and understand in the experience of the Great Vision of Melchizedek, from the primordial foundation - the Clear Light, the yesodot arise, the primordial or fundamental elements of consciousness, and everything that arises and appears is composed of these elements in various combinations, and in various manifestations, pure or impure. Thus, on one level, these Gates of Understanding correspond with a progressively more complex and dynamic weaving of the yesodot, and the generation of greater awareness and intelligence, and corresponding forms of life, subtle and material, until the eventual realization of the yesodot in their innate perfection and purity in the Messiah, the one anointed with the Supernal Light of the Infinite, the one who is the Pure Emanation of that Holy Light and Spirit (Enlightened Being, the Human One of Light).

There is, indeed, a progressive and ongoing expansion of mind, consciousness or soul into the endless depths of the Divine Attributes (Sefirot), and likewise there is a progressive and ongoing realization and embodiment of the Light of the Infinite (Or Ain Sof) as souls reintegrate with that Holy Light and enter into conscious unification with the Infinite and Eternal One; this movement, this play of being and becoming, in truth, has no beginning and no end, but corresponds with a continuum of bornless being, primordial and supernal, from which the spiritual, astral and material realities come into being.

If you consider the initial Gates of Understanding, in them you see an arising of the yesodot in ignorance, impurity, and following you see an evolution in ignorance, unconsciousness, the Spirit of God acting in secret, hidden and unknown; only with the arising of human beings does the action of the Spirit of God become progressively revealed and known, and a conscious evolution become possible, or a clarification of the yesodot and the realization of their arising in innate purity, and realization of the innate unity of all in the primordial foundation and the Infinite One (Ain Sof). It is with the generations of the Human One (Adam) that conscious evolution becomes possible, conscious embodiment of the Holy Light and Spirit, and conscious union with the Eternal One (Yahweh).

In closing we can say this: The mind, consciousness or soul of beings is expanding into the Infinite One, and there is no end in sight to that expansion, that enlightenment; in fact, the awakened, conscious expansion into the Infinite, or ever-becoming, is the perfect delight of souls in the World-That-Is-Coming.

May we abide in the awareness of our innate unity with one another and the Holy One this day! Amen.

Shalom Aleichem!

Shalom!

As has been shared above by Tau:

" There are corresponding manifestations of the Fifty Gates; the gates as they are in Atzilut are the same from one world to another, but their manifestation in Beriyah, Yetzirah and Asiyah is different from one world to another, for the actual evolution of life from one world to another assumes different forms, and is individual and unique, though the essential principles, cycles and developments are fundamentally the same, and always there is this continuum of evolution towards the Highest of Life, the Messiah - the embodiment of Divine or Enlightened Being."

Can the 7 heavens (or gates 31 - 39) possibly be contemplated as manifesting in each Olam?
I am wondering if I am understanding this teaching correctly and if more perhaps can shared about such bending of the heavens. Any insights or corrections will be most gratefully received by me.

Shalom,

Generally speaking, the four lower or exterior heavens correspond with the astral dimension and Yetzirah, the three upper or interior heavens correspond with the spiritual dimension and Beriyah, and the eighth heaven corresponds with the supernal dimension and Atzilut, this latter being the true kingdom of heaven in the Messiah, the World-To-Come.

Shalom!

I do not intend to derail the contemplation offered, but I wonder what may be said about how the number 50 is obtained both by multiplying the 5 Olamot each with their 10 Sefirot (5x10), and multiplying the 7 Sefirot of construction times themselves plus 1 for completion (7x7+1)?

With much gratitude,

Adam

Shalom,

There are several different teachings related to how the number 50 is derived beginning with the counting of Jubilee, understanding Jubilee is a cognomen of Binah; and also, drawing upon the letter Nun in the middle of the word Binah, which equals 50. Connected with Jubilee, however, there are teachings of 7 X 7 + 1 associated with the seven Sefirot of Construction, each containing all seven; likewise, there are teachings of the totality of the Sefirot through the five Olamot when Adam Kadmon is counted among them. With each of these teachings concerning the number 50 various secret mysteries are conveyed concerning the Fifty Gates of Understanding.
