The New Pentecost

#1 Postby Elder Sarah » Sun Jun 24, 2012 9:30 am

Shabbat Shalom!

In the Book of Acts we read,

“When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place. And suddenly from heaven there came a sound like the rush of a violent wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. Divided tongues, as of fire, appeared among them, and a tongue rested on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other languages, as the Spirit gave them ability.”

Having just celebrated the feast of the Pentecost and Ascension, where we focused on recent teachings in community regarding the Second Coming and the New Pentecost, it seems fit to explore some ideas of what the Pentecost may look like in this generation.

“They were all together in one place”, This “One Place” appears essential in how this experience transpires. While we can say this is a physical place, also, this must be a place of One thought, One speech, and One action. In other words, One Intention. What may we say of this One Intention? If we look into the story, and the experience from which they have just come, this intention begins to reveal itself. They have just spent forty days with the Risen Savior “Speaking about the Kingdom of God.” And from this experience they witnessed the Risen Savior ascend! Imagine the focus, the intention of this experience. It is from this place they abide in “The Place”.

What is this Place today? What is it in our experience? How do we draw this Place out? As the Fire of the Holy Spirit is drawing communities together by way of individuals, can we say this Place is in All who are called? As though, the calling of each individual is to this Place internally and as These Places are drawn together for the Great Work, The Place grows and extends to touch many. In the New Pentecost, this must be a place within! That at the same time is a place in community. This must be the place of each individual in most heart's desire, the Will of Hashem! Joined together in this Will creates the conditions for the Holy Spirit to descend upon one and all alike.

“And Suddenly from heaven there came a sound like a rush of violent wind and it filled the entire house where they were sitting” Throughout scripture we hear of there being a “great wind” or “Like the sound of many thunders”. These all pointing to a rising vibration in consciousness, a heightened state of awareness. While this experience would appear to come “from heaven”, it would also come from within and all around. Tracing back to what we have just said of gathering in “One Place” we can say, if we gather in our True Will, which is the Will of the Holy One, the state of our awareness shifts. This shift moves to a greater awareness of the Holy Spirit within and all around, everything as the Holy Spirit. Now imagine many doing this together, gathering in this one intention, each enacting their True Will and the Will of the Community being enacted, this would be a complete and whole vessel for the Holy Spirit to indwell. This indwelling being the “House where they were sitting”. Here we may ask according to our contemplation of the New Pentecost, how expansive is this House? Also, is this “House” pointing to New Jerusalem?

“Divided tongues, as of fire, appeared among them, and a tongue rested on each of them.” Interesting, here, the use of the word “divided,” and of the words “as of fire”. If we look into the qualities of fire we see it appears as one being, yet, within it we can observe many “arms”. We can observe this same contemplation with the Hebrew letter Shin. It is essentially three Yods connected by one base. These “divided tongues” then must be pointing to the descending of the same presence, the same power, on each one of them, though manifesting in each according to their unique individuality. As we express our unique individuality a “tongue of fire” rests on each one of us. This “tongue” being our expression, our True Being. As St. James says, “How great a forest is set ablaze by a small fire! And the tongue is fire.”

"All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other languages, as the Spirit gave them ability.” While we can consider this as a physical reality in the experience of the Apostles and the people to whom that spoke, we also must consider the inward meaning of “speaking in other languages”. Each of us has our “own” language and it is through our “own” language, our expression, that we may speak to others. As we come into our True Being, we are able to more and more speak our true language. We can all recognize a certain struggle here with expressing our true thoughts and ideas. The struggle seems often an inability to find words that accurately express our inmost thoughts. We can notice though, in moments of Light Transmission, something of this struggle is lifted and certain truths are able to come forward. As these come forward, communication with others in the same experience becomes possible. The teachings would say, the most accurate mode of communication is mind to mind and heart to heart. Along these lines, much can be said of what it means to speak in all people's language! Is this Light Transmission occurring among many at the same time? Also, look here at it being said, “The Holy Spirit gave them ability” In this we must remember, the Holy Spirit speaks who we truly are as we allow her to enter and indwell!

Perhaps here we can pause and open to the Holy Spirit to see where She may take this exploration!

May all beings abide in The Place!

Many Blessings and Shalom!

The House of the Lord

#2 Postby sheryl » Sun Jun 24, 2012 10:26 pm

Shabbat Shalom, Elder Sarah!

Praise to Mother for these contemplations!

Many thoughts arose while reading your teaching. One is the awakening, the longing, within us for the House of YHVH as expressed by King David in Psalm 27:

One thing have I asked of YHVH,
that will I seek after:
that I may dwell in the house of YHVH
all the days of my life,
to gaze upon the beauty of the YHVH
and to meditate in his temple.

Indeed this One Place exists within each of us!

Something that Yeshua taught also comes to mind:

For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.

Is the Master also speaking of House, this place where two or more gather in His Name?

In your teaching on divided tongues, what we spoke of during the skype chat this evening is expounded upon, bringing to mind House as a Multiplicity existing as One, or Elohim.

Might we say that there is a correlation between Binah or Mother and the One Place or House in which the faithful gather within?

May our longing to dwell in the House of YHVH be fulfilled!

Shalom and thank you for the reminders about our sacred dwelling place within, that we are Temples of the Holy Spirit. Is it possible that through the outpouring of Divine Grace we are able to receive this direct experience and as we cultivate this awareness and then resonate together, the field of this energy becomes stronger and makes it easier for others to resonate too?
May all beings be at ease and blessed by the Spirit of Love,

Gradations of Blessings

#4 Postby sheryl » Fri Jun 29, 2012 11:02 pm

Shalom Mark!

Indeed we may receive such blessings, but remember that the Light is gifted to us in gradations, according to our ability to receive. As this ability increases so may the blessings that flow, all as ordained by El Elyon, according to the Wisdom of Yah.

The increase in our ability to receive occurs as we cultivate and integrate - embody - what has been given.

You might recall this teaching from the Master:

Take care then how you hear, for to the one who has, more will be given, and from the one who has not, even what he thinks that he has will be taken away.

The one who has is the one who has cultivated and gifted to others that which has been given. The one who has not is the one who has not cultivated and gifted to others that which has been gifted to him or her.

And yes, as we embody the gifts we receive, this embodiment uplifts our relations whom are able, increasing their ability to receive.

Also, because we are all connected, the Light invoked in us and through us touches the collective consciousness of humanity, and it likewise is uplifted. This is the Great Work and points to the fallacy of individual salvation.

May all beings be uplifted by the blooming of Asherah in our generation!

The Human One as the House of God

#5 Postby Elder Sarah » Sat Jun 30, 2012 8:57 am

Shalom Sister Sheryl and All!

In this contemplation concerning “House” and “Gathered in One Place” I am taken to something Tau Malachi mentioned recently in the thread on Tower of Babel,

"There is something of the mystery of levv versus lev, here, for before the First Appearance of the Risen Christ heaven and earth were, in effect, divided, as though separate from one another – hence levv, two “houses”; but with the First Appearance of the Risen Christ, and the Second Appearance of the Risen Christ in us, heaven and earth are joined, united – hence lev, one “house” or “dwelling.” The Living Body of Christ is the manifestation of the kingdom of heaven, the kingdom of God, on earth; and this Living Body is the Resurrection Body, the Body of a New Order, the Order of Regeneration (Resurrection)."

In this context “Levv” is a divided heart while “Lev” is One heart, or the heart in purity. It stands out then that a divided heart is equated with heaven and earth being separate, two “houses”, and the heart in unity is heaven and earth joined as “One House”. In regards to the union of heaven and earth I am taken to the Creation story in Genesis.

It is spoken, “ In the beginning when Elohim created the heavens and the earth, the earth was a formless void and darkness covered the face of the deep, while Ruach Elohim swept over the face of the waters.”

It is curious that “earth” is spoken of as a formless void but there is no mention of “heaven”? Can we assume “the formless void” and the “the deep” is heaven and earth? And the “Light” that comes into being when Elohim says “Let there be Light” is a Light beyond the creation of heaven and earth? As the Rabbi’s would say, “The Light stored up for the Righteous”.

If we follow the story, the second day seems to be a divide even further in this “deep”, where it is spoken, “Let there be a dome in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters….and Elohim called the dome sky” Interesting that classically heaven is thought of as above the sky and earth below!

The third day then seems to be a greater separation where the waters of the earth are separated and dry land comes into being. The fourth day there is a separation in the sky, where the two luminaries come into being. The fifth day a separation between the living creatures. The sixth day is where the Human One is created, the Human One in the image and likeness of Elohim, male and female.

In the story, on the seventh day, it is said, “Thus the heavens and earth were finished, and all their multitude”. Because “heavens and earth” is mentioned here we can verify that in fact the “heavens” are part of the “deep” through which Ruach Elohim hovers.

With this story in mind it appears the union of heaven and earth has much to do with the “Light” that is separated out of the “darkness”, here the “darkness” being the entire creation. Though, here is beautiful mystery, what is the union of heaven and earth without these first being created? In other words, the “Light” that is separated from the entire action of creation must then somehow be joined back with creation. This is where the creation of the Human One comes into play. It is said, “In the image of Elohim these are created, male and female Elohim created them.” Can we say the dynamic pole of “male” and “female” is the same pole between heaven and earth, the waters under and above the sky, the waters and dry land, the luminaries in the sky, the sea creatures and the birds of the air, and the living beings of every kind? In this way, the Human One contains within the Human Ones self all separation and therefore the key to the unification of All!

Circling back now to “House” as a place in which heaven and earth are joined, this would appear to point to the Human One who joins the “Light” that is separated out of creation with the creation of the heavens the earths. God and Gods Name One on the Face of this Earth! Perhaps in this context, where we read in Acts,

“And suddenly from heaven there came a sound like the rush of a violent wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting.”

We can say the “entire house” is the entire creation and the Holy Spirit filling it is the Light that is before and within creation, the Light stored up for the Righteous!

Here, indeed it appears we can speak of Binah and the Mother, for the Mother is both within creation and beyond, she is the threshold. Also, the Divine Name of the entire movement of creation is Elohim, the Name of the Mother! Praise be She!

We praise and adore you Father in the form of Mother, Yahweh joined to Elohim!

Many Blessings and Shalom!

The Way of Salvation

#6 Postby Elder Sarah » Sun Jul 01, 2012 7:52 am

Shabbat Shalom Mark and All!

I have been enjoying your contemplation regarding this influx of Divine Grace. As Sister Sheryl beautifully points out, our work is to cultivate what has been given, and as we do this, that which we have tended automatically rays out to many. If we are called to the Way, we must remember, it is a Way of salvation that comes from removing the focus upon ourselves and redirecting it towards the people. In this way, The Way automatically brings Salvation from suffering because suffering is caused by the perpetual over-focus on self and self-alone.

We can see this by simply looking into any true Spiritual experience or influx of Light. When we look close, an experience in the Spirit is showing us that the self is larger than we think, that we are actually interdependent and interconnected with all beings. After such experience, the realization comes by way of living this. So quite literally, as you mentioned, we integrate an influx of Divine Grace by constantly working to remove the “I” thought, and the only real method of doing this is to focus on the well being of others.

In the teachings, we often hear of enlightened selfishness. This being the idea, if your neighbor is happy, you are happy. In order to ensure your neighbors happiness, you will be the best neighbor possible. We all know how hard it is to live next to a difficult neighbor! Now, really looking into this method it does appear rather selfish, in that one is attempting to be the best neighbor possible for the sake of ones own happiness. Though, through this rather selfish act, others benefit! Here we may say, we are selfish beings and this method works within our very own nature.

We could say we practice a spiritual life and living for the same reason. We seek to empower, to acknowledge, to assist and to ultimately love others. As others experience this, others can and do return this same empowerment, acknowledgement, assistance which is ultimately love, back to us!

Tau Malachi often says, “If you want to experience love, be loving”. Often we go around seeking love and not being loving. We don’t realize that the very experience of love is the act of loving. Ultimately this is a realization that love does not come from outside ourselves, but instead, it comes from inside, from us enacting that which we seek.

This is a very different way of living! This Way takes us right back to what the Apostles are speaking in the Book of Acts. These Apostles are speaking of a Way of Salvation, and this Way is a way of seeking to spread the good news of the simple action of removing focus on self. They do this by way of going out and spreading the good news. They are not trying to gather many in like a vast heard of cattle, as though they posses and “own” the converts, but instead the gathering is a gathering of a force that then has a greater power to spread the news. Each one who is gathered in is one more that can ray out to many!

May we tend the Fire that has been set by the Lord and Our Lady!

Many Blessings and Shalom!
