Feast of the Ascension and Pentecost

#1 Postby sheryl » Mon May 30, 2016 9:01 pm

Shalom Friends!

As we move towards the upcoming Feast, contemplations have been arising over this event known as Pentecost. To much delight, a companion found and shared a post where Tau Malachi offers us an expanded teaching on this event and Feast. There, he states:

This matrix of souls forming the inner circle is, indeed, an arrayal below of the Supernal Pattern above; the Holy Mother is the Partzuf Imma (Mother) below, the Magdalene is Nukva-Kallah (Daughter-Bride), and the Twelve is Zer Anpin (Little Face). The Ascended Messiah holds the place of Abba (Father), and this great matrix corresponds with the complete creation, formation and making of the Holy Vessel of Reception, and therefore the influx of Arik Anpin (Big Face) and Atik Yomin (Ancient of Days) is invoked and received.

[The full teaching by Tau Malachi can be found here: viewtopic.php?p=11927#p11927 ]

This is a beautiful explanation of the array that created the Holy Vessel that could receive the influx. In Zohar, we have been exploring the mysteries of the Revelation of Torah at Mount Sinai, the array and the arisings there, and the similarities between this event and Pentecost have danced together recently in mind and heart. Pentecost corresponds with the Jewish Feast of Shavu'ot, which is a celebration of the Giving of Torah at Mount Sinai, marked by a counting of the omer, or a counting out of 7 weeks or 49 days = Shavu'ot being on the 50th day after the celebration of Passover. The correspondence with the 50 Gates of Understanding brings a smile.

We are taught that Moses could not enter the 50th Gate, because the children of Israel were not ready to receive Mashiach, as evidenced by the sin of the golden calf.

And so at the time of the Giving of Torah, the 50th Gate was not entered and the Mashiach did not appear in our world.

It is curious that these two events are celebrated together -- Ascension and Pentecost, as though they are one even. Much delight arose when this was explained in the above post, where Tau Malachi offers us:

If we inquire into the inmost essence of the Holy Knowledge imparted by the Risen Messiah, it corresponds with knowledge of the Fifty Gates of Binah (Understanding) and knowledge of the 144 Names of God and their powers. As we know, Moses was able to enter into forty-nine gates, but only the Messiah could enter the fiftieth gate and reveal its mysteries; likewise, Moses was able to call upon and reveal the 72 Names of the Gevurot (judgments), but only the Messiah could call upon and reveal the 72 Names of Hasidim (mercies). Thus, in the revelation of the Risen Messiah the transmission of this Holy Knowledge was completed, and this Holy Knowledge corresponds with complete redemption, full enlightenment and liberation.

I am delighting in our current exploration of the the Giving of Torah at Mount Sinai. It feels that what the blessed rabbis are discussing was not only completed and fulfilled at Pentecost, through this array of holy ones in the upper room, but also occurs whenever Revelation comes through Tzaddik. It comes to mind that when companions gather around their Tzaddik, and Revelation is spoken, the same occurs within Tzaddik, as did on Mount Sinai, and as did in and through the array on the Day of Pentecost. Praise God!

If this correspondence is accurate, might I ask if more can be said? And can we say that the dwelling places, of which Elder Gideon inquires in another thread, is connected to the 50th Gate of Understanding, into which only the Mashiach can enter?

Also found in this teaching are instructions for community, as we move towards the Feast of Ascension and Pentecost, if they might be shared here:
Here it is given that I may share an open secret, one that bears the same power of full repentance (Teshuvah), and so may invoke the same Supernal Anointing. First, as I’ve taught elsewhere, there is hitbodedut through the Tree of Life, descending and ascending, and this corresponds with the prayers/meditations of the upper room. The Pistis Sophia, however, alludes to another practice of prayer and meditation in the upper room, for again and again teachings on the mysteries of the Messiah are given and interpreted by way of the reciting of Psalms and Songs of Solomon. In the Holy Kabbalah it is taught that if an initiate prays the Psalms, reciting them with full kavvanah (concentration) and devekut (cleaving), and attends a continuum of doing so with zeal in faith and love, and they attend to the other points of faith, such as remembering and keeping Shabbat, having love for one another, and so on, through the recitation of Psalms a full return to God may be accomplished, and therefore the full Supernal Anointing may be invoked. Christian Mekubalim include the Songs of Solomon in this practice as well, just as we are taught in the Pistis Sophia.

Praise to the Mercy of El, for the giving of Mashiach!

May we labor together to invoke the same Supernal Anointing.

Grace and peace to you in Hayyah Yeshua!

The Fifty Gates of Understanding (Binah) correspond with the entire process of creative evolution from the chaos and void at the outset, through the vegetable, animal, human and angelic realms, culminating in the Messiah, the Fiftieth Gate; until the arising of the Perfect Tzaddik, the one who was without sin, no one could enter into that final Gate of Understanding, for no one was able to embody the Spirit of the Messiah, or the realization of Supernal or Messianic Consciousness. Moses was on the threshold of this realization at the burning bush, but he was not able to pass beyond the final barrier, or most subtle klippah, and likewise, though there were very lofty souls in his assembly, the full matrix of souls was not present for the reception of the Messiah, therefore the law was given in place of the coming of the Messiah, opening the way for the coming of the Messiah.

As the author of the Letter to the Hebrews teaches us, the revelation of the Holy Shekinah on Mount Sinai was very great, and indeed for most souls would be completely overwhelming, but the revelation that transpired following the final ascension of Messiah Yeshua on Pentecost was far greater, and there was an entire matrix of souls, along with the Mother and Bride, to receive the great influx of the Supernal Light and Spirit - Holy Fire and Spirit.

Understand, in truth there can be no comparison of any revelation of Navim or Tzaddik in the covenant and continuum that flowed from Sinai with the revelation that happened at Sinai, at least not until the Supernal Influx on Pentecost; likewise, there can be no comparison of any revelation of Anointed Tzaddikim (Holy Apostles) in the covenant and continuum that flows from Pentecost with the revelation that happened in the upper room on Pentecost. Certainly not! For these were revelations that initiated a new covenant and continuum with humanity, and all of the revelations that have come, and have yet to come, are in the respective original revelation, have their foundation in the original revelation, and flow from it; hence, from each of these events there is an ongoing continuum of revelation of the Eternal One (Yahweh), and we may say that the revelation of Pentecost was a radical evolution of the revelation at the burning bush and on Sinai, the earlier serving to prepare the way for the coming of the Messiah and the later revelation.

It has been said that all souls that would be born as children of Israel were present in the subtle dimension during the revelation at Sinai, and likewise, that all souls that would receive the Messiah, or the great influx of the Holy Light and Spirit, were present in the subtle dimension of the upper room during the threefold movement of revelation, the feast of bread and wine, the full communication of the Holy Spirit, and the baptism with the Supernal Light - the spiritual nuclear fire of Pentecost. Along with this the masters of the tradition teach that all new teachings and revelations of the Holy Torah that will ever be given were known in the manifestation of Light Transmission at Sinai, and so also, all new teachings and revelations of the Gospel were known in the manifestation of Light Transmission on Pentecost.

Understanding this, as we know in our own experience of the giving of new teachings and revelations, and the play of Light Transmission with them, in our experience of the Light Continuum we touch into something of the revelation of Sinai and Pentecost; certainly so, for the Light Continuum is rooted in the eternal realm, and when it becomes manifest in space-time glimpses may occur into the vision of the eternal realm, the distant past and distant future becoming inseparable from the present moment in our experience. Thus, something of the revelation of Sinai or Pentecost can be experienced in such sacred moments, just as the greater revelation of the Second Coming that is yet to transpire can be experienced in such sacred moments; such is the nature of engaging the Light Continuum, there is an intersection of timeless-eternity and time-eternity, and insights may be gleaned from the vision of the eternal realm throughout the three times: past, present and future.

Remember, although we have emanated from the Light Continuum, we have never departed from it, and although we have entered into incarnation, the inner aspects of our soul abide in the eternal realm; hence, the wisdom, understanding and knowledge of the eternal realm is within us, it is in the inner aspects of our soul, our bornless being, and quite naturally if we experience an ascent of consciousness into higher grades, reaching into inner grades of our soul, we may acquire something of that Habad. Certainly so!

Thus, when deeper esoteric teachings and revelations are given by Tzaddikim we may very well touch into something of the revelation at Sinai or the revelation in the Upper Room.

As has been said, there was a threefold revelation in the upper room, of bread and wine, the full communication of the Holy Spirit and the baptism with Holy Fire - the Supernal Influx; and it is given that we may share something about this here, joined with our present contemplation.

On the eve of the crucifixion Adonai Yeshua enacted a feast of bread and wine, giving a sacred ceremony for the faithful throughout generations, and this corresponds with a revelation of the Body of Emanation, an energetic transmission of the Emanation Body before his death and resurrection; hence, a blessing and empowerment for all who have faith in Yeshua Messiah and worship God in spirit and truth.

This is the outer grade of blessing and empowerment from Adonai Yeshua, but the bread and wine allude to the inner and secret grades, the full communication of the Holy Spirit and the full reception of the Supernal Light - spiritual nuclear fire. Following the resurrection Yeshua Messiah imparted the fullness of the Holy Spirit to his disciples, and he empowered his disciples with Mercy and Judgment, and Compassion, and this corresponds with the revelation of the Body of Glory, an energetic transmission of the Glory Body in the resurrection. Then for some time he shared inner and secret teachings with his disciples, and no doubt various inner grades of Light Transmission, revealing deep mysteries of the Work of Salvation, the earthly and heavenly ministry of the Messiah and Anointed Tzaddikim after him. In fruition there was the ascension, the display of Rainbow Body Attainment, his image and likeness being translated into pure spirit, pure energy, pure light, and dissolving into its inmost essence, Clear Light - primordial and supernal. This becomes the invocation of the full influx of Supernal Light, the Holy Fire of Pentecost, which corresponds with the revelation of the Body of Truth, an energetic transmission of the Truth Body from the Ascended Messiah; hence, the experience of Messianic Consciousness in the disciples and with it an experience of conscious unification with the Messiah in El Elyon, the Supreme.

Disciples witnessing the ascension of the Master opened the way for the recognition and realization of the Body of Truth, and therefore the generation of the Threefold Body with the disciples as they emerged as Holy Apostles, Anointed Tzaddikim. Praise the Lord!

The ceremony of bread and wine, joined with baptism in water and anointing with oil, this is given to faithful or psychic humankind, and the full communication of the Spirit, and the Holy Fire of Pentecost, this is given to spiritual humanity, the spiritual elect, all as ordained in El Elyon.

Now the generation of the Threefold Body - the body of enlightenment, is the vehicle of the Light Continuum and Light Transmission in heaven and on earth, and generating the Threefold Body through the Spirit of Truth, Spirit of Enlightenment, Anointed Tzaddikim take up the earthly and heavenly ministry of the Messiah, and the Light-presence and Light-power remains in the world, therefore the Continuum of Light Transmission remains in the world. Understand, there is no Tzaddik who compares with our Elder Brother, Yeshua Messiah, for he holds the place of the firstborn among us, and yet, whenever and wherever this enlightenment dawns and the Threefold Body is generated, the fullness of the Messiah and Holy Spirit, the Light-presence and Light-power, is in that place at that time; indeed, the Living presence of all of the holy and enlightened ones of the past, present and future is in that place, the fullness of the Shekinah of Messiah. As Anointed Tzaddikim give teachings and revelations, and impart blessings and empowerments, it is from this Supernal Realization and through the Threefold Body, and one and the same Light-presence and Light-power manifests with them as was manifest in Adonai Yeshua, the Magdalene and the original Holy Apostles, Anointed Tzaddikim. Thus, giving new teachings and revelations, imparting blessings and empowerments, engaging in Light Transmission in diverse forms, something of what transpired in the upper room is happening in that place, in that sacred moment, and all who abide in faith and love, all who are open and sensitive to it, and who desire to receive it, partake of the corresponding blessing. In the midst of such a sacred moment, the greater our awareness of the Shekinah of the Messiah with a Tzaddik, and the movement of the Holy Spirit with a Tzaddik, the greater the blessing and empowerment we receive. What we receive depends upon our faith and love, our awareness, and cleaving; when there is perfect cleaving (devekut), through the grace of the Holy One in the Messiah, we may experience something of the revelation of the inner dimensions of the Glory Body, or even something of the revelation of the Truth Body. Praise God!

This perhaps points to why the Feast of Anointed Tzaddikim, or Gnostic Apostolic Succession, follows the Feast of the Ascension and Pentecost.

This seems enough for the moment. We will pause here.

Adonai, we praise you and give thanks to you, and we pray, purified with Living Water, may we also be consecrated and sanctified with Holy Fire, and may we embody your Living Spirit in full so that we might be of the greatest possible benefit in service to your heavenly kingdom and its manifestation in this world! Amen.

#3 Postby Elder Sarah » Sun Jun 05, 2016 8:24 am

Shabbat Shalom!

Giving much thanks for the teachings drawn out here, a very beautiful mystery!

I appreciate the contemplation of these two revelations, the Revelation at Sinai and the Revelation of the Pentecost. While considering these two movements I was reminded of teachings that speak of the shift between the old and new covenant. Particularly the shift we see present in the giving of the law. The revelation at Sinai was the giving of the Law through the commandments, the law of the old covenant. We learn with the Messiah a new Law comes into being, one that encompasses the whole of the commandments, it is one simple law, "That you love one another as I have loved you". It has been taught, if we carry this one commandment perfectly, we will fulfill all the commandments in this one.

I am curious then, if we may contemplate this one commandment in accord with the fifty gates and the shift from the old to new covenant as a similar shift from the forty-nine to the fifty gates. It feels by what was described in the fifty gates, this unfolding of creation through evolution, that it is a process of God becoming aware of God's Self. I have also heard this spoken as God and Gods Name becoming One. In the culmination there is the arising of Messiah, which seems to be one whom both embodies the entire process of evolution and at the same time embodies the full conscious awareness of unification with the Holy One. This joins all of evolution with the Holy One, therefore it seems to enact this one commandment, "To love one another as I have loved you." This love is a love of the entire creation! Can we say at Pentecost we are seeing an embodiment and enactment of this commandment through the Apostles? A sort of expansion of this one commandment, and somehow in a mystery, it is being enacted even further because it can be embodied by many rather than one? That as the Body of the Messiah is joined with the Apostles so too the whole of evolution is being joined to the Body of Messiah, all happening through the Love of Messiah?

I hope this is on the mark and not distracting from the point, and would gladly receive any clarification.

Blessings,
Elder Sarah

Grace and peace to you in Hayyah Yeshua!

Adonai Yeshua teaches us that the law and prophets are fulfilled in the coming of the Messiah, but that nevertheless the former heavens and earth abide, and the law remains in effect, until all is accomplished in the End-Of-Days.

Now, as has been said, the Fiftieth Gate corresponds with the coming of the Messiah, revelation of the Messiah, but understand that the Messiah is one who has the Habad of the Infinite One (Ain Sof) through conscious unification with the Infinite and Eternal, and it is this that is the Fiftieth Gate of Understanding (Binah); the fruition of unification with the Infinite and Eternal, and the revelation of Supernal Habad comes through the cross, and through the resurrection and ascension. Understanding this the Fiftieth Gate is the Risen and Ascended Messiah, the one having enacted a complete self-offering of unconditional love, boundless compassion, giving his life and light to all, fulfilling all (Kol).

Consider this, “Love one another as I have loved you. No one has greater love than this, that they lay down their life for their friends.” The nature of this love is a complete self-offering, the offering of one's life and light for the sake of others, for the sake of heaven and the glorification of El Elyon, the Supreme. Thus, Yeshua Messiah teaches us, if anyone wishes to follow him let them “take up their cross and follow in the Way.” Let them enact a complete self-offering, or self-transcendence.

If we consider the Fiftieth Gate, the culmination of the great matrix of creation and creative evolution, it corresponds with the embodiment of transcendence, and the transcendence of creation, space-time, as in the End-Of-Days; this, of course, is revealed in the final ascension of Messiah Yeshua and his translation into pure spirit, pure energy, pure light, complete reintegration with the Light of the Infinite.

Remember, Binah is called “End-Of-Days,” and likewise is called the “Great Ascension” - ascension, transcendence.

As we know, before Yeshua there were others who were taken up in divine rapture, in ascension, not tasting death, Enoch and Elijah, and some say Moses, but Adonai Yeshua embraced death upon the cross, and he was raised from among the dead to walk again upon the earth, and revealing the Risen Messiah, then he revealed the Ascended Messiah - the Great Ascension; and this ascension is something more, something greater, than what had been realized before, and through it the way is open for all living spirits and souls to be uplifted in the Great Ascension who desire to return to the Infinite and Eternal, and desire full reintegration with the Light of the Infinite, the Pleroma of Light.

In this, perhaps, you will understand that the threefold empowerment given in the Upper Room corresponds with the revelation of the Fiftieth Gate, the opening of that Holy Gate and the Light Transmission that happens through it; Upper Room, this too is a cognomen of Binah, though in the interior stars it corresponds with the Brow Star and with Gevurah, which emanates from Binah on the Pillar of Severity.

Bread and wine, the offering of True Substance - body and blood, communication of the Holy Spirit, the gifting of True Life - eternal life, the outpouring of the Holy Fire on Pentecost, the gifting of True Light - reintegration with the Light of the Infinite. Praise God!

All of this is manifest in perfection and completion with the ascension of Messiah Yeshua, in his full unification with the Infinite, or the Light of the Infinite, and the Supernal Influx that descends upon the world through him. Praise the Lord!

May we be blessed to receive the full Supernal Influx, and abide as the Star of Grace in the world! Amen.

Three-Fold Upper Room

#5 Postby Elder Gideon » Thu Jun 09, 2016 6:12 am

Shalom!

This is a wondrous teaching. Never before have I heard the Fiftieth Gate of Understanding in such a grounded way. It is by no means simple, but the embodiment of Messiah in Yeshua opens and aligns everything I've heard of the Fifty Gates of Understanding. I'm very, very grateful.

There is a resonance between this teaching and another arising in Tau's writing continuum last week regarding the Hidden Path and Perfect Light, where he described in a refreshing way how a soul may have the capacity to cross the Abyss by the soul's integration with self-negation. As Binah-Understanding is what one attains on some other side of self-negation, we were all taught last Shabbat of Binah as the Upper Room. We were even given an essential, simple meditation of engaging this mystery of the Upper Room as we purify and focus towards our Feast of Ascension and Pentecost.

I'm startled by the dimensionality of the upper room Tau drew out as a threefold revelation [...] of bread and wine, the full communication of the Holy Spirit, and the baptism with Holy Fire. I've never heard this before. Not only do each of these correspond with the Three-fold Body of Emanation, Glory, and Truth, respectively, but I'm also hearing how they are greater empowerments of our self-offering moving through the three veils that divide the triads in the Tree of Life.

To penetrate one's personal, karmic matrix, the Veil of Qeshet, we regularly need bread and wine.

To penetrate the collective, karmic matrix, the Veil of Paroket, we need the full communication of the Holy Spirit.

To penetrate the cosmic, karmic matrix, the Veil of the Abyss, we need the baptism with Holy Fire.

In these same points, I hear with Ma's help the Three Roots:

Eucharist in the upper room is the First Root: God is with you.

Full communication of the Holy Spirit in the upper room is the Second Root: Set your mind on things above.

Baptism with Holy Fire in the upper room is the Third Root: Remember your transcendence.

May the Body and Blood, the Light and Fire, of the Fiftieth Gate of Understanding empower all God's faithful and elect!

Shalom friends!

Thank you, Tau Malachi, for these corrections, clarifications, and for the new teachings. I greatly appreciate this gift as the Feast draws near.

This teaching feels to connect with the teachings shared on the thread The Hidden Path & The Perfect Light. It comes to mind that the call to Love one another as I have loved you is a 'secret teaching' on The Secret Path.

May all know the Love of the Master.

With gratitude,

Sheryl
