Creation in Wisdom: Hokmah
“O Yahweh, how manifold are your works! In wisdom you have made them all; the earth is full of your creatures” (Psalm 104:24).
According to the Zohar Hokmah is “Reshit,” the point of the beginning of creation, and there is nothing knowable beyond Hokmah; Keter is the concealed of the concealed and is completely incomprehensible, and therefore is called Ain, No-Thingness. Thus, in effect, to us Hokmah is the first Sefirah, and Da’at holds the place of Keter on the Tree of Life, Keter never appearing in any given Olam, universe. Understanding this, all of creation is conceived in Hokmah, and its perfection, its essence and nature, is held in Hokmah, and through Binah what is conceived in Hokmah, the Wisdom of the Holy One, becomes manifest.
This conception in Hokmah is in essence and potential, akin to the thought or desire of a husband for his wife, and the intention to conceive a child. With this thought or desire he embraces his wife, and she shares in his intention, and then conception becomes manifest, and through the wife life gestates and is born, becoming fully manifest. This indicates the relationship of Binah and Hokmah, which are also called Abba, Father, and Imma, Mother; initiating the cycles of creation the “thought” and “desire” of Abba turn towards Imma, and the intention of creation becomes manifest through Binah, or Imma, the Mother giving birth to the Sefirot of Construction and to the entirety of creation and all of the realms and worlds within it.
“In wisdom you have made them,” all of the Holy Sefirot are contained within Hokmah and emanate from Hokmah, and likewise, all things, all creatures, in heaven and on earth, the entirety of creation, are contained within Hokmah and emanate from Hokmah, and how they emanate and come into being is through Binah, all according to Ratzon Elyon, the will of the Supreme.
In this, perhaps, we might contemplate the attribute of hayyah, life-force, to Hokmah; hence, the force of all living things within Hokmah, or Abba - an infinite potential of life and light.
Although, indeed, we cannot inquire into Hokmah of Atzilut, for it is too great for us, we can ascend to Da’at and reach into Binah, and through Binah gain awareness of Hokmah, and likewise, we can reach into Hokmah and draw upon the infinite reservoir of life and light that is in it, and also acquire wisdom from Hokmah in Beriyah, Yetzirah and Asiyah, the Realm of Perud.
In Proverbs it is written: “Get wisdom, get insight…” (4:5). This is Hokmah and Binah, wisdom and understanding, which form the foundation of true spiritual knowledge (Da’at). If, indeed, we acquire wisdom, understanding and knowledge will follow, and likewise, aware of the origin of creation in wisdom, so with wisdom comes knowledge of the works and mysteries of creation, and therefore full empowerment to act as a conscious co-creator with the Holy One, aware of the spiritual essence of things held in Hokmah and how to draw their spiritual essences into them, fulfilling them as the Holy One intends.
Contemplating wisdom and the teachings of proverbs, also remember that wisdom is synonymous with enlightenment; the pinnacle of enlightenment, Mochin Gadlut, is Hokmah of Atzilut - supernal and primordial wisdom.
If all is conceived and contained in Hokmah, then all creatures share in this divine or enlightened nature, and all creatures are destine to eventually enter into the enlightenment experience. If this is true of all creatures, even the least of them, then understand you are very near enlightenment in this very life, and you are wise to seek it with passionate faith that through the mercy and love of the Messiah and Holy One you can and will attain it; do not assume you will not attain enlightenment in this life, but rather seek it with passionate faith as though, indeed you will enter into the enlightenment experience, whether in life or at the time of your departure from this life.
From this contemplation, no doubt, you will understand why St. James teaches us to pray for wisdom of all of the various Divine Attributes we might be lacking - all the Attributes are in it; hence, pray for enlightenment, and the knowledge of the works and mysteries of creation, for with this you will fulfill your destiny, working out your salvation.
May the Holy One gift you with wisdom, and may you never abandon wisdom! Amen.
Potential and Actual

Shalom Tau Malachi:
I enjoyed very much your sharing the foundation of creation in Wisdom, Hokmah, as the pure potential conceiving everything Binah gestates and births.
I wished to inquire into a nuance and ask for correction if it's off the mark. Hearing what I am hearing of Hokmah as potential opens me to nuance of Hokmah as too inconceivable and vast because within Hokmah is every possibility for souls simultaneously. Hokmah is completely non-linear, out of time. What allows us to inquire into Binah, Understanding, is that this potential becomes focused into discrete, apparently distinct possibilities experienced as time. In relation to Hokmah, Binah feels relatively "linear" and sequential.
There is another angle in biology which your contemplation evokes, following further on your example of physical conception. The father's sperm and the mother's egg are understood in deeper dynamism than was formerly imagined. Prior to the technology to study conception, it was reasonable to assume that the first sperm to reach the egg ignited conception, but this is not the case. Many sperm finding the egg "tying first", as in a race, are guaranteed nothing. We now have film of swarms of sperm bouncing upon a closed egg. It appears that the egg "chooses" which single sperm is permitted in! Biology can only call this random which one sperm is allowed, but another mystical view might see otherwise. This fascinates me because for the number of sperm, like the pure, non-linear potential of the Father, are isolated, individuated, and sequenced by the egg, Binah.
If on the mark, what non-linearity and linearity of these Supernal principles of Hokmah and Binah ask is their relationship between the completeness of everything outside of time and how everything comes to completion in time. Outside of time, the Father sees all in perfection, for there's no past, present, or future. Mother is both outside of time with the Father and is in time with Creation. In time is entering into forgetfulness and having to choose to remember through a sequential experience of suffering.
All of this to say, I hear Binah IS the process of everything, small and large, personal and collective, which no creature can escape or avoid. The only way 'forward' is by way of this process. What more can be shared of this principle of a sequential process attributed to Mother Binah?

Grace and peace to you in Messiah Yeshua, our Adonai!
That is a lovely insight dear brother, and it draws out the deeper implications of the relationship of Hokmah and Binah, or Abba and Imma - the Supernal Father and Supernal Mother.
In Hokmah, Abba, in truth the distinction of potential and actual does not exist, for Hokmah transcends space-time, corresponding with timeless eternity; in Hokmah, all in a great mystery, everything abides in its innate perfection, primordial and supernal. Binah is the threshold between timeless-eternity and time-eternity, transcendent and immanent, and while in Binah there is this vision of the perfection of being, so also there is the vision of becoming, and process of the actualization and realization of the perfection of all things; hence, their coming into being, the realization of their true being, which is the Infinite Light of the Holy One.
The vision of Binah, though, is from timeless-eternity, while holding the awareness of becoming, or the process of actualization and realization in time-eternity; thus, creative evolution is “seen and known,” as it were, in its entirety from beginning to end, and this is indicated by the title of Binah, the Depth of End, and likewise, the End-Of-Days. The process of actualization and realization itself, and the shift into progressively more sequential and linear movements and events occurs through the seven Sefirot of Construction, and the arising of Beriyah, Yetzirah and Asiyah from Atzilut.
In this light we may consider Da’at, which is called the Depth of Now, and which arises from the union of Hokmah and Binah, or Abba and Imma, as they generate being and becoming from Ain, or Keter; the vision of being and becoming from the eternal realm, or Supernal Universe (Atzilut) is ever-present, now, for there is no past and future in the Realm of Yichud as in the Realm of Perud, or Beriyah, Yetzirah and Asiyah.
Now, all in a mystery, as I’ve shared in “Gnosis of the Cosmic Christ,” there is a play of certainty and uncertainty, and while we can speak of predestination from the vision of Hokmah and Binah, still there remains countless possibilities in the play of free will and the choices that are made by spirits and souls. As an example, in that our innate perfection is a reality in Hokmah now, in this very moment, and that our innate perfection - bornless being, is within and behind what is happening in this moment, through the mercy and grace of the Holy One it is possible for us to recognize and realize our innate perfection this very day, in this very moment; hence, in any moment there is the possibility of entering into the enlightenment experience - Thunderbolt Enlightenment.
Thus, there can be radical leaps in becoming and the realization of the being of the becoming, our divine or enlightened nature; we have the ability to slow or accelerate the realization and embodiment of the inner aspects of our soul, our being.
How this is so cannot be comprehended and explained in mental consciousness, but it is seen and known in the pure radiant awareness of Supernal or Supramental Consciousness; the interplay of our free will and Ratzon, the will of the Supreme, as emanations of the Holy One and co-creators with the Holy One is truly an unfathomable mystery. The key to contemplating this great mystery, however, is in the awareness of the Holy One within and behind every spirit and soul - the Spirit of God (Ruach Elohim), this fiery intelligence manifesting as the intelligence in all things.
St. James teaches us to seek wisdom, and Adonai Yeshua teaches us that we need to be reborn from above, from heaven - eternity. In order for radical leaps in the evolution and realization of the soul to occur, or for a Thunderbolt Enlightenment to occur, we must remember our origin in heaven, or the Light Continuum, and be oriented to heaven, no longer exclusively oriented to name and form, and the personal history of mortal being; in this way something of our bornless being, our divine or enlightened being, can be realized and embodied in this life.
In closing we may recite a mystery often taught in the Zohar: “A stirring below creates a stirring above”; when Tiferet and Malkut are united through Yesod below, Abba and Imma unite above, and there is direct Supernal Influx. Such influxes can bring about radical shifts in the Matrix of Creation, and likewise, radical leaps in the evolution and realization of souls; Shaddai, the Almighty, becomes manifest in this way and great wonders transpire. In terms of "selection," this is how selection happens - souls are choosing what they invoke and make manifest!
May we be blessed to realize our innate perfection, and be at-one with the Messiah in the Supreme (El Elyon)! Amen.

Shabbat Shalom, Tau Malachi:
You've helpfully clarified larger nuances of Hokmah and Binah, Father and Mother, in new ways for me for which I'm very grateful. What's new in my hearing is of the union points below and above: below at Yesod and above at Da'at.
In this light we may consider Da’at, which is called the Depth of Now, and which arises from the union of Hokmah and Binah, or Abba and Imma, as they generate being and becoming from Ain, or Keter; the vision of being and becoming from the eternal realm, or Supernal Universe (Atzilut) is ever-present, now, for there is no past and future in the Realm of Yichud as in the Realm of Perud, or Beriyah, Yetzirah and Asiyah
“A stirring below creates a stirring above”; when Tiferet and Malkut are united through Yesod below, Abba and Imma unite above, and there is direct Supernal Influx.
The speed by which this happens seems to function provisionally as selection, or election. Why some souls awaken to a faith reality and other don't or won't isn't intelligible. It's a mystery. Rather than seeing as happening or not happening, you've shifted how I hear this altogether as the speed by which this is already happening for all souls: For some souls, they're rapidly accelerating in spiritual becoming, while for others, very, very slowly, even in cruel circumstances of evil they've co-created. You've affirmed that everyone is moving forward, but just at different speeds, all according to their orientation.
Emotional spaces for souls are a means to see a pace of slowly or quickly one self-selects. It is a choice for how long a soul hosts resentment or bitterness. It is also a choice how swiftly a soul chooses to drop such burdensome weight and move forward faster. The sequential process purifying disappointment, regret, anger, or grief is the same for all. There appears to be no evading all of the inner twists and turns of a given day, but the speed by which one can do so appears to be the merit generated by an orientation and practice of faith. Merit seems to have much to do with what you've described of speed.
What more may be shared in regards to this speed selection at which you've hinted? The Law appears to facilitate and regulate a soul's speed of becoming, yet there's the Grace of being, which seemingly out of no where flashes from above any speed timeline altogether.

There has been a double portion of delight in this teaching! Praise to Queen of Shabbat!
In reading the first teaching offered above, Tau Malachi, it came to mind that when 'hands' are raised in blessing, becoming hand, singular, a mystery of each Sefirah is being remembered, touched, evoked, and what you are offering us is an essentialization of the Supernal Sefirot - part of this unified, singular movement, from which a specific blessing might be invoked into a moment in time.
With the insight shared by Elder Gideon, and the additional teachings arising, a question has arisen. When we speak of Da'at as the Depth of Now, are we saying that while time is linear, Enlightenment is the ability to access infinite potential in the now, and draw that into finite, linear time? And if we consider time as a succession of present moments, or nows, am I hearing correctly that each now in time is infinite potential, infinite possibility for shifting, infinite possibility for manifestation, so that now in linear time becomes the eternal infinite?
And so what we perceive in time as the cycle of death and birth is actually the vehicle for the arising of infinite potential?
In a recent post, you taught, Tau Malachi, that Tzaddikim will engage in daily repentance of previous Habad (Wisdom, Understanding and Knowledge), making way for a greater Habad, giving rise to another question. Is repentance an acceleration of the cycle of death and birth, making way for a greater arising of infinite potential in the now?
Perhaps this is similar to the question that Elder Gideon posed regarding selection and becoming?
With praise and gratitude,

Grace and peace to you in Hayyah Yeshua!
The development and evolution of souls begins in the mineral kingdom, and ventures into the vegetable, animal and human kingdoms, and ultimately beyond into divine and supernal being - enlightened being. At the level of the mineral kingdom, as one might imagine, the evolution of souls, beings, is very, very slow, but passing into the vegetable, animal and human kingdoms the pace of evolution accelerates, and in the shift from the animal kingdom to human kingdom radical leaps in the evolution and realization of souls becomes possible. This great journey of souls evolving, or coming into being, is a process of actualizing and realizing the infinite potential of life and light that is in them, the actualization of the being-consciousness-force within them, and this includes the development and evolution of self-awareness and intelligence, and the force of will and desire that comes with them; hence, an actualization of free will, which is minimal the mineral kingdom, but grows as souls pass through the various kingdoms, and can become manifest fully in the human kingdom.
Now in the throng of humankind, the human collective, there are many grades in the development and evolution of souls, from those who are experiencing their first human incarnation, just emerging from the animal kingdom, to those that incarnate who have been realized or enlightened in previous lives, and there are necessarily various grades in between these. As perhaps you might surmise, what we have said of the journey through these kingdoms - these manifestation of Malkut of Asiyah, is also true within each kingdom. Thus, at first souls entering into the human kingdom are largely unconscious, and their greater potential for self-awareness and intelligence, and the force of will and desire is, as yet, not realized; hence, their free will is limited, and generally speaking the pace of evolution is slow. As souls evolve through the grades of the human kingdom they pass through various levels of semiconsciousness until eventually an actual conscious evolution and return to God becomes possible.
Thus, the pace of becoming, or the evolution of souls, is deeply connected to the grade of their evolution, the grade they have realized; the higher, or farther they have evolved, the swifter the pace of their evolution becomes.
In the midst of this, of course, there is the play of the mercy and grace of God, and the influence of heaven, various forms of divine intervention and assistance by the Spirit of God, and by tzaddikim and maggidim, or “saints and angels.” As souls enter into the human kingdom, and progress through the grades of the human kingdom, their ability to turn to God and invoke heaven increases, and as souls become able and willing to open to the Holy Light and Spirit of God, Divine Grace enters into play.
Unconscious or conscious, however, the entire human collective and each individual is choosing, selecting, what becomes manifest and what transpires, the choices made determining the reality of our experience. Joined with us this all living beings are choosing, including invisible spiritual entities, so truly there is a vast, incomprehensible matrix of countless living beings co-weaving and co-creating what becomes manifest and transpires in creation. In this world, though, humankind determines the balance in the matrix of spiritual forces, and it is given to humankind to choose the fate of the world. Thus, what we choose, what we invoke, matters a great deal; the fate of the world and living beings in it is at stake!
Understanding this, it becomes very important for the faithful and spiritual elect to choose and invoke what is good and true, the divine powers of the heavens and the Holy One; and as we do we may abide in the confidence of the divine design of creation, and of our destiny in the Messiah - the eventual realization of supernal wisdom, enlightenment.
It is true, moment to moment we are choosing, and the greater our progress in the Gospel, the Way, the more swiftly we may overcome barriers with God’s help, shifting from negativity to what’s good and true, invoking influxes of the Holy Sefirot, not the klippot. As we do so, understand that we bring about the tikkune of our soul and the world, participating with the Messiah in the salvation of the world.
