Prayers Paul Kosako

#1 Postby pat » Sun Oct 07, 2018 6:24 am

Shalom Borthers and Sisters,
My nephew Paul , has been going thru severe pain the last six weeks. He had the nerves burned in his back to relieve the pain but it did not work, The VA doctor wants to do two more burns in December and Mid January. Paul is is taking Morphine,Percocet and methadone. All very addictive drugs with little relief. This has been going on for years to relieve the pain from a back surgery that did not work, He has lost teeth, feels frustrated and he's at his wits end. He wishes at this time to a break from constant pain. May the Holy One bring relief from Pain, comfort him and Mercy.
Thank you. Shalom pat

Shalom Brothers and Sisters
Thank you for your prayers. Paul is doing a little better but his back will start spasms again. He is going to see his pain Dr. in a few weeks. He had a stimulator put in many years ago but it didn't work and became infected and had to be removed. The Dr suggested trying it again because many improvements have been made to the stimulator since then. Paul will ask about a new electronic unit called H-Wave. He heard about it thru another veteran, who has one, and it is working well for him. Paul thanks everyone for their prayers. He said he is sure the prayers are the reason he feels better some days. Thank you again Shalom and blessings pat

Shalom Brother and Sisters,
I saw Paul this weekend . He wants to thank our community for your prayers. He had a bit of a reprieve on Saturday, he got out to go to a memorial and later went to an senior dinner and dance. But the next day he had a very difficult time moving. He said "I only danced three times and it proved to be more than I could handle. Once the music started it was quite difficult for me to not dance being the dancing machine that I am". On Tuesday he remains in a painful state.

This Friday Dec 14, at 4:30 pm , the Doctor will do a nerve burning targeting the tail bone, it will take about an hour. next month the doctor will target above the middle back. Paul is hoping for positive results. He said The VA doesn't have anesthesiologist. But he could tough it through as he 's done before.
Paul is very grateful and much appreciative of your prayers, as I. We are truly Blessed. Thank you so very much.
Shalom pat

Shalom Tau Malachi and Brother and Sisters,

Thank you all for your prayers. Paul had the surgery at 4:30 pm on Friday , Dec. 14. He said today he is feeling good. He is at home. His Doctor was young and Paul was very apprehensive to have him do the procedure; as he did the burning ; Paul yelped due to the painful discomfort. The doctor said, he thought he got to the origin of the pain site. When he was done, told Paul to get off the table. As Paul stood up, the doctor asked him how he felt; to Paul's surprise the Painful area was gone! He was so ecstatically Happy. This morning he felt even better except for areas where Dr inserted the instrument to get to the nerves. But the pain he originally had before seeing the Dr. was gone. (This time the tail bone area was causing 70% of the discomfort.) He hasn't been pain free since he got injured June 19, 2009. Praise God!

Paul said to thank our prayer group for prayers said , that gave him this doctor the knowledge and hands to make him pain free. He is much much appreciative. Praise God for healing wonders, miracles. Thank you all for your healing prayers. Shalom & Blessings to all love pat

Shalom Tau Malachi and brothers and sisters,
Update on Paul. He is doing well. He had 35% relief with the last procedure of constant burning pain for last 10 years from the middle back to the tailbone. Tmrw Jan 15 he will hopefully have the last of the procedure of burning the nerves( that are going out of the vertebrae ) They will go higher pass the middle of he back to relief the spasms . He doesn't know if he will have the same doctor . VA has several doctors in that department. May We ask for prayers for a doctor with steady hands and knowledge to do what will make him feel less pain, which can give him 85% relief. Paul and I are extremely grateful for all pray. May this help all beings going thru this situation.
Shalom & Blessings
Thank you Pat

Shalom everyone, this is an update on Pauls procedure today. He's at home with quite bit of discomfort. The doctor said it is due to sacral (tailbone) area (mostly likely inflamed) He went over the same area that was done 4 weeks ago ; since it was not completely pain free. The doctor felt it should be feeling much better on the lower side before going up higher. Paul is having a tough time walking and Dr. said it would probably be uncomfortable for the next week before feeling better. He's using ice packs to keep the swelling down. He is exhausted. Paul is thankful for all your prayers.
Shalom and Blessings

update on Paul Kosako

#19 Postby pat » Wed Feb 20, 2019 3:52 pm

Dear Sisters and Brothers,
This is an update on Paul . The cold weather is causing some discomfort. But before the cold spell he was walking well and straight without a cane. He came back from VA physical therapy clinic. He has been going for a H Wave treatment. They think he will benefit from it. It works like a Tens unit but works on different frequency. The tens unit works on muscles where the H Wave works on muscle as well as bone in relieving pain. He used it twice and feels it works but may have to use it quite frequently. Thankfully the VA is going to pick up the tab. The H waves has a price of 3 to 4 thousand dollars , they place an order so hopefully he will get it soon. Praise God ! Thank you all for your prayers
Shalom and Blessings
