A Baptismal Prayer

A Baptismal Prayer

From the eternal realm the spirit of truth has issued,
The pleroma of light has emanated, entering into the Jordan –

The waters have parted, flowing back upon themselves,
The serpent has been uplifted and redeemed, ignorance brought to an end,
The soul is transformed into pure spirit, the flesh into pure light,
From carnal into spiritual we have been transformed, reborn,
And so we call upon you, Mother Spirit,
Another has come in the Blessed Name, seeking deliverance,
We pray that you touch this one, setting on fire!

Going down into the living waters filled with light and spirit,
We pass from material to spiritual, and are chosen,
We pass from the material to the angelic,
From created to emanated,
From entirety to pleroma,
From death to life,
From darkness to light,
From time to eternity,
From ignorance to knowledge,
From folly to wisdom,
From bondage to freedom,
From wandering to our estate,
From falsehood to truth –

All of this and more we receive and become, going down into the living waters,
And putting on the Blessed Name, the image appearing in the bridal chamber,
We are uplifted in the Risen Savior, transformed and illuminated.

Yeshua is our Adonai; Yeshua is the Messiah! Hallelu Yah!
Having had imperfect bodies, in him we have received our perfect form,
Having been born into bondage, in him we are delivered,
Having been deceived, in him the truth is revealed –

Going down into the waters we cleave to him, the Anointed of God.

We enter into the bridal chamber by way of example,
And our union is consummated through hearing the word,
So, through grace, we are joined to the Mystical Body of Christ,
And have fellowship with the spiritual elect and angels of God;

This day as one is renewed, we are all renewed,
As one is reborn, we are all reborn –

This is a day the Adonai has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it!

Hallelu Yah!
