The Other Directions

#1 Postby Anna » Wed Aug 21, 2013 12:24 pm

Blessings and greetings to everyone!

We work with the four directions, North, South, East, and West, in our movements with Sacred Circle. In some traditions it seems that there is also esoteric significance to the directions Northeast, Northwest, Southeast, and Southwest. Do we also work with these directions in Sophian Tradition? What energies correspond to these directions? These directions came up in practice with dream altar when it appeared with four short columns or stands arising directly from the wooden surface. They stood in these directions. A cup was gifted on the NW stand. I would be very grateful for any insights and teachings that may be shared about the meanings of these directions and how they appeared on the altar.

May all beings in all directions be blessed and uplifted!
Shalom!

Greetings and blessings in the Holy Light of the Messiah!

This is very simple dear sister. Contemplate the correspondences taught of the Directions, and to understand the Cross-Quarters, consider the union of the correspondences of the two Directions forming another Direction. This becomes the contemplation of a Sacred Circle of Eleven Directions, rather than Seven Directions.

We can share this, however; in the Art of King Solomon, South-East is the point of greatest light, and North-West the point of greatest darkness. Understanding this, there is a sacred ceremony of the Holy Cross, tracing the Cross in these in-betweens of the Sacred Circle, extending the Holy Light of the Cross into them. We draw the Holy Light from the South-East to the North-West, then to the North-East, and then to the South-West; then in the Center of this Sacred Circle we draw down the Supernal Influx from above to below, and pray for the extension of the Light of the True Cross, the Sacred Tau (Shin-Tau), and we proclaim Mysteries, the Gospel, of the True Cross, energetically preaching the Gospel, as it were, and delivering spirits and souls through their Hearing of the Gospel. This corresponds to a way of the Wedding Feast in our lineage and tradition, and in fruition we partake of bread and wine. When you visit next, perhaps I can show you this sacred ceremony.

Also, we can say this, if we wish to know and understand the Cross-Quarters in the revealed invocation of the Sacred Circle, corresponding with the vision of the Sacred Circle in Atzilut (the World of the Sefirot), then we will contemplate the unification of the corresponding Sefirot to those Directions. There is no "point of greatest darkness" in this Sacred Circle, however, but rather Light upon Light, great Supernal Glory (Kavod) all around, in all Directions of Endless Space.

This is what can be shared.

May the Holy Spirit take up and illuminate your contemplations of the Cross-Quarters and grant you da'at of them. Amen.

Yahweh Shalom!

Blessings in the Holy Light!

Thank you for these teachings on the cross quarters, dear Tau. You mention that Revealed Sacred Circle corresponds with the vision of Sacred Circle in Atzilut. So then does traditional Sacred Circle correspond with the vision of Sacred Circle in Beriyah or more generally to that of perud, the world of separation?

Shalom!

Shalom,

The traditional invocation of sacred circle corresponds with the arising of the elements in their natural order and directions as we experience them in this world, where we live; hence, Malkut of Asiyah. In the invocation, though, there is a drawing down of spiritual influxes from Atzilut through Beriyah and Yetzirah into Asiyah.

When we speak of a sacred circle from a vision of Atzilut the orientation is the Sefirot, and the directions and elements as they correspond to them, while with the traditional circle the orientation is Malkut and the manifestation of the elements in Malkut.

Blessings!

Shalom!

Are there Holy Names, archangels, angels and other holy beings that are called upon in the Tradition when invoking the Light in the cross quarters? Would one invoke all 11 directions at times for extending blessings in sacred circle?

Thank you!

Shalom,

No, there are no attributes of Names, archangels and so on for the invocation of the cross-quarters, but rather it's a creative affair based upon the knowledge and experience of the initiate invoking the sacred circle and spiritual powers of the directions; it's sort of like an open space for inspiration in the Spirit.

Blessings!
