The Nineteenth Names

The Nineteenth Name: Lamed-Vau-Vau

This is an invocation of the full power of the Holy Vau – the world of angels. When Vau is spelt out there are two Vau in it joined by an Alef, and so it equals thirteen, the number of Ahavah, Love, and Achad, unity; two Vau, then, equal twenty-six, the number of the Great Name of Yahweh. Thus, this Holy Name invokes the full power of the world of angels and the Light Continuum in which they abide.

There are angels of judgment, wrath, and angels of mercy, peace. They act together to fulfill Ratzon Elyon, the Divine Intention, in creative evolution; the angels of wrath shatter klippot, dispelling darkness and evil, and the angels of peace gather in and uplift the holy sparks, reintegrating them with the Light Continuum, Yahweh.

So it is in this Name of God – the first Vau is the angels of Gevurah invoked to shatter klippot and the second Vau is the angels of Hesed invoked to uplift the sparks that are liberated.

Lamed indicates teaching or instruction, and therefore implies communication – communion; the angels of God connect earth and heaven, creation and God, and human beings and God – serving as an interface, intermediaries. Thus, Lamed here in this Holy Name indicates klippot that would obstruct or sever this spiritual connection, and that attempt to distort the teachings or instructions of God or that seek to prevent them from reaching us; hence, this Holy Name is invoked to dispel klippot interfering with our communion with the Divine.

We can see the distortions and perversions of the revelation of the Divine very well between the Old and New Testaments – from one to other, on the surface, it may seem as though two very different gods are speaking, and some schools of thought have taken this over simplistic view as their explanation of the apparent difference in the revelation of the Divine. However, in truth, there is one and the same Divine Presence and Power speaking in both the Old and New Testaments, there is simply less interference from the dominion of the klippot and Klippah Nogah, for the Holy One has become embodied to speak directly to us in the Messiah.

Essentially, in Yeshua Messiah, the holy vessel of the human one is refined and manifest in perfection – the difference between the Old and New Testaments is in humankind, in the development and evolution of the souls of human beings; and likewise, it is in the movement of Judgment and Mercy in the Divine Incarnation of the Messiah of El, binding and banishing klippot, and uplifting and reintegrating holy sparks into the Light Continuum, Yahweh.

The power of this Holy Name is in the Blessed Name of Yeshua Messiah, and as much as invoking the full power of the world of angels to restore our communion with the Holy One, it invokes the full power of the Messiah completing our restoration and reintegration to Sacred Unity, Holy Communion, in El Elyon.

Now, according to the Holy Kabbalah, when the soul ascends in sleep, at the time of death, or in deep mystical experiences, before entering into the world of the angels and passing beyond, the soul must pass through the dominion of the klippot and Klippah Nogah. The Kabbalah says that it is the same with our prayers – our prayers must break through the spiritual gravity and dampening fields of the klippotic forces to ascend through the heavens and come before God. This Holy Name is invoked to dispel this interference to our prayers ascent – it invokes the power of the world of angels to help facilitate and guard the ascent of our prayers, and when called upon in the Blessed Name of Yeshua Messiah, our prayers joined to it will ascend.

In the midst of this, of course, we must know and understand that what gives the power to klippotic forces to trap our prayers and prevent their ascent is our own unkind and ungodly thoughts, words and actions – our misdeeds (sins). Thus, invoking this Holy Name, as much as dispelling the power of external klippot binding our prayers from ascent, it is an invocation dispelling internal klippot that we have engendered.

This is a Holy Name that restores our friendship with the angels and God when in some way we have compromised our sacred friendship – it is like the note sent or the call made that initiates the reunion of long lost friends.

This gives insight into another dimension of this Holy Name among initiates – the healing or restoration of sacred friendship in discipleship. When we have a heart-connection with a holy tzaddik we seek to preserve and cultivate that spiritual connection, and seek to upgrade it; at times though, we may act in such a way to degrade it – but invoking this Holy Name we may restore and upgrade our connection.

This Holy Name is the tikkune of our Spirit-connection or sacred friendship on all levels – we need only accept full responsibility for a spiritual connection that has become impaired and sincerely desire its restoration and be willing to take action to restore it.

There is a mystery in this Name of God that it is given that we may speak – in it is the power to arise in the Body of Light and bind the soul to the Sefirot of Zer Anpin, both those of Judgment and those of Mercy, and to gain deep knowledge and understanding of Gevurot and Hasidim, and to glean the wisdom of the inner and secret mysteries of the Thirteen Attributes of Hesed, as uttered by the Shekinah of Yahweh to the holy prophet on the Mount of Elohim.

This reflects another mystery in this Holy Name that it is given that we may reveal – in it is the power to rise from the world of angels into the world of archangels, or the world of souls (neshamot); whatever impurity might prevent a soul’s ascent is purified by the invocation of this Holy Name in the fullness of faith and devotion.

We may also speak another mystery, or rather hint at it – it is a Holy Name that dispels the magic power of the minions of the Great Beast; contemplating this, meditating upon this Holy Name, the Holy Spirit will reveal the mystery to those who have been received.

In this, perchance, you may know and understand this Holy Name of God.

A Holy Meditation: Empowering the Ascent of Prayers

At times, when we pray, our prayers may seem to go unanswered. On the one hand, sometimes what we ask for in prayer is not in accord with Ratzon Elyon, and so our prayers cannot be answered in the way that we wish, therefore the answer we receive is different than we might wish; on the other hand, very often prayers go unanswered because they are like a message that never arrived because klippotic forces, in effect, intercepted our prayers, preventing their ascent. When we sense that the latter is the case, or have good reason to believe that in one way or another we have acted in such a way as to put ourselves out of phase with the Light Continuum and generated obstructing klippot, we may call upon this Holy Name to get our prayers through the interference.

First, we will purify ourselves through confession and repentance in the presence of Ha-Shem, calling upon the Blessed Name and bringing whatever shades or shadows we might have engendered into the Divine Light, letting go of them and letting them be dispelled by the Light of Awareness – hence, exercising openness and honesty in our sacred friendship with God.

Then, we will put on the Blessed Name and bind our soul in ascent from Adonai to El Elyon, and restoring ourselves to the Sanctuary of Grace, cleaving in our heart to the Messiah and Shekinah of Messiah, we will call upon the Holy Name.

We will intone El Elohim, activating the Name; and then we will envision the three Holy Letters of the Name in our navel, heart and brow, respectively – and we will intone the Name: La-Vo-Vi

When we intone the Name we will envision the Divine Light from above descending through the top of our head, flashing down, dissolving the Name and taking it up; and we will envision the Light-presence within and all around us – the Holy Light of the Messiah and the angels of God.

Then we will speak our prayer in the Shekinah of Messiah.

When we have spoken our prayer we will pray for all souls to be restored to their Spirit-connection and pray for all who may feel disconnected from the Holy One; and we will give praise and thanks to El for the grace in Yeshua Messiah, and pray for the reception of all living spirits and souls into the Sanctuary of Grace.

Worshipping and communing in the presence of Yahweh Yeshua completes the practice; our prayers are heard.

This is the practice.

A Practice among the Navim: Cessation of Wandering

When a holy tzaddik or navi sees a sacred friend wandering or led astray they will pray for that person and soul, and in their prayers they may call upon this Holy Name, seeking to help restore their friend’s Spirit-connection.

They will rise up as the Great Maggid of the Messiah and will divest themselves of the klippah of matter, going forth in the Body of Glory – an in the Body of Glory they will call upon Ha-Shem and the Divine Powers, and bind their soul to the Mystical Body of Hayyah Yeshua, the Supernal Sefirot.

With the mere thought of their sacred friend who has been given to them by the Holy Spirit they are with their friend in an instant, and the company of the Holy Shekinah is with them. Envisioning the Holy Letters in the subtle body of their friend, they will invoke the Holy Name: Ya-Lo-Ha-Va-Vi-Vo-Hu

Then they will call upon the Name: La-Va-Va.

Invoking the Name they will envision the Holy Letters blazing within the subtle body of the person, consuming all shades and shadows; and they will envision a Pillar of Fire descending from above, devouring all shades and shadows surrounding the person and in their aura.

Then, speaking the Supreme Name of Adonai Yeshua Messiah and intoning the Mystic Name of Adonai (IAO), with hands of light they will reach into the head and solar plexus of the subtle body of the person, and they will cry out to Ha-Shem for an influx of Divine Light – departing they will envision the person in a Pillar of White Brilliance with the Spiritual Sun shining in their heart, and they will leave with the person a band of forty holy angels to stand watch and to protect them in the Way.

When they return to their body they will worship in the presence of Yahweh and make offerings on behalf of the person, as well as on behalf of all who are wandering, having been led astray from the Straight Path; and they will complete the movement with prayers of tikkune and the celebration of the Holy Wedding Feast.

This is the practice.

Angels of the Name

The angels Lakihael, Vafiel, and V’saviel correspond with this Holy Name – they come from the order of the Beni Elohim and bear great knowledge and wisdom of “finding lost sheep.” They also can reveal the deception of spirits by which a soul is led astray, including knowledge of their names and the method of binding them; along with this, they can reveal secret pathways by which prayers may swiftly ascend, having secret knowledge of the Ashim.

This completes our sacred discourse on the Nineteenth Name of Gevurot as manifest through the blessing and grace of God. Hallelu Elohim – Praise God!

The Nineteenth Name of Hasidim: Yod-Vau-Mem

Yeshua Messiah teaches us, saying, “Whoever has seen me has seen the Father.” The power and mystery of these words is in this Holy Name.

Here, for sake of insight into this Holy Name, we may hint at something of this supreme mystery – how the Father is in the Son is in the substance of being; the Pleroma of Light and Spiritual Sun are one and the same in the substance of being, Or Ain Sof, Light of the Infinite.

Now, this unity of the Father and the Son is the same as the unity of the Sun of El and your holy soul – gazing upon the Father in the Son, you will gaze into the Spiritual Sun in your soul, and gazing you will abide at-one with the Messiah and El.

This is the power of this Holy Name.

In it is also the power to bring down the Light Transmission to a grade at which it may be received by a soul – it invokes the Gnostic and Light Transmission at the level of the world of angels, those gradations of Light Transmission that are accessible to souls who are new to the Path of the Great Ascension or who are making their first contact with a stream of Light Transmission.

Thus, something of the inmost essential Light Transmission is in this Holy Name, as well as the outermost gradations that appear with great splendor and glory.

This Name of God also bears the power to clarify and prepare our consciousness for the experience of Light Transmission, and the power to refine our consciousness so that we might experience an inner or higher grade of Light Transmission.

Along with all of this we may speak a great mystery of this Holy Name – calling upon this Name we receive “manna from heaven” and lack for nothing; as wonderworkers of the tradition know, it is a Holy Name of great power for spiritual manifestation – specifically, it is “hidden food,” as mentioned by Adonai Yeshua when speaking to his disciples at the Well of Jacob and saying to them, “I have food you do not know about.”

A Meditation with the Name: A Prayer for Light Transmission

If you are seeking the experience of Light Transmission purify yourself and go and pray in secret, and ask Hayyah Abba in the Blessed Name of Yeshua Messiah, and so it will come to pass; but if it does not come to pass, you may purify yourself further and call upon this Holy Name, and surely it will come to pass – but calling upon the Name, demand nothing from God, but rather be ready and willing to wait upon the Spirit of Yahweh, letting go of all attachment and aversion, abiding with Adonai.

Cultivate devekut – the fire of divine passion, and without fear of the pain of yearning, let it burn deep; invoke often and enflame yourself with prayer and worship, and with all of your heart and soul, mind and strength, cleave to Yahweh Yeshua.

When truly you are on fire with Ruach Ha-Adonai, then call upon the Name.

Put on the Blessed Name and enter into union with Hayyah Yeshua; and then as Hayyah Yeshua, intone Yah Yahweh Yeshua Adonai.

Bow yourself down, and intone the Name: Ya-Vo-Ma.

As you do this hold the conscious intention of the reception of the Light Transmission, and whether in that instant or some time to follow, do not doubt your prayer will be answered – usually this invocation will be answered through a messenger, a holy tzaddik or maggid.

Afterwards pray those who seek the Gnostic and Light Transmission receive it, and worship God in spirit and truth.

Continue in your aspiration and devekut, and pray this prayer until it is fulfilled.

This is the practice.

A Practice among the Navim: Angelic Infusion

It is said that when Lord Yeshua and Lady Mirya met in the world for the first time that he exorcised seven demons from within her and set seven angels in their place – he invoked an angelic infusion.

When a holy tzaddik or navi seeks to invoke this form of the Light Transmission they may call upon this Holy Name.

Walking with the Shekinah of the Messiah, and joined with her full company, catching the gaze of the person, they will intone Eheieh Yahweh Yeshua, and call upon this Holy Name: Ya-Va-Ma; then, laying hands in the person, they will invoke the names of the archangels or angels from whom they seek to draw down an influx – because they walk continually in the company of the angels and walk with Ha-Shem the angels will do as they intend.

With a mere glance and silent volition a Baal Shem, Master of the Name, may accomplish this just the same.

This is the practice – the holy angels take up the labor of spiritual transmission.

Angels of the Name

Yodvavael, Vavodiel and Malshael are the angels of this Name; they come from the order of the Malakim and are called “angels of initiation.”

This completes our sacred discourse in the Nineteenth Names of Gevurot and Hasidim – let us give praise and thanks to the Holy One for the blessings and grace through which all mysteries are revealed; Hallelu Yah – Praise the Lord!

O Holy One, may Your blessings pour forth abundantly and may Your Habad grow in us – may we accomplish your Ratzon Elyon; we pray for Your blessing upon all beings in the Name of Yeshua Messiah – Amen.

Blessings & shalom!

Yod-Vau-Mem

#2 Postby Elder Gideon » Sun Jul 02, 2017 10:08 am

Shabbat Shalom, Tau:

I was surprised to see in the letters that spell this Name the same that hold two other words. Yod-Mem spells yam, or 'sea'. With Vau in between, it spells the word for yom, or 'day'.

The kavvanot that you draw out for this Name are wonderful and now even easier to remember, given that this Name of Hasidim is literally the word for 'day'. As you've suggested three pillars in kavvanot for other Names, the very position of the letters in Yod-Vau-Mem allow for narratives within the sequence. Here, I feel Yod as the Pillar of Mercy, Mem as the Pillar of Severity, and Vau the Middle Pillar. These letters naturally suggests the respective partzufim Abba, Imma, and Son. This makes the Light Transmission of which you teach in this Name a full function of the Son. He is the Day in every respect: Are there not twelve hours of daylight? Those who walk during the day do not stumble, because they see the light of this world (John 11:9).

I know there are many more directions here to unfold. Praise God for revealing something so plainly hidden!

Blessings to you in the Holy Light of the Messiah!

Yes, indeed, literally ‘Day,’ and there is more that can be shared. May the Lord help us understand! Amen.

First, speaking of the Spiritual Sun of God, ‘Sun of El,’ and that very radiance, light, corresponding with the inmost parts of your soul, this is the Christ-Self, Divine Self, or Divine I Am. As you have heard in the teachings of the Holy Kabbalah, the unveilings and self-disclosures of God to a soul is through their Divine Self, and as their Divine Self, and in this we understand that the revelations of God Most High are never the same from one individual to another, nor from one time to another, but rather they are always unique - there is a unique revelation and realization of God destined for each human soul. Understanding this, you will know that this is a Name of God through which one may invoke and pray for a greater revelation of Christ and God in one’s heart and soul, and so a greater Self-realization.

Also, as ‘Day’ implies, when a gnostic initiate feels inclined to pray for the awakening of souls this is a Holy Name they may remember and call upon, for in it is power for the stirring of souls, the awakening of souls, just as there is something of the power of Light Transmission in it, certainly so!

Also, if there is something hidden that one seeks revealed, this Name might be invoked with that intention.

There is something more, however, that it is given for us to share concerning this Holy Name as ‘Day.’ This is ‘Day of God,’ or ‘Day of the Lord,’ and there are several manifestations of this with God. First, as we know ‘a day of the Lord is a thousand years,’ and so may relate to prophecy and to the acquiring of insight into the generations of humanity and the various ages. Then, as we also know, ‘Day of the Lord’ is often a phrase used for the Day of Judgment, so mysteries of the End-Of-Days and Great Judgment may be revealed through invocation of this Holy Name. Likewise, among mystics and gnostics ‘Day of God’ can imply the eternal realm, the World-To-Come, and this too may be an intention in the invocation of this Name of God by those who have understanding.

Now this Name contains another, truly so - Yam, ‘Sea,’ which is a cognomen of Malkut, Shekinah. So, then, this Holy Name suggests an invocation of the Bride united with the Groom, the fullness of the Holy Shekinah in the mystery of the bridal chamber. Do understand, though, that the true bridal chamber is the heart of a knower of God - a true gnostic, and therefore, just as one might invoke this Holy Name for a greater revelation of God Most High, and greater Self-realization, so also as a prayer for the realization of complete oneness with the Divine Presence, the Holy Shekinah, Holy Spirit, just as it was embodied in the Perfect Tzaddik, Messiah Yeshua, and in the Apostle of the Apostles, the Magdalene.

This is what it is given for me to share with you today.

May many souls awaken today and remember their God, the True Light! Amen.

Shalom Aleichem!
