The Fortieth Names

The Fortieth Name of Gevurot: Yod-Yod-Zain

This Holy Name equals 27, which is the number of the word Zak when Kaf is counted as 20; Zak means “pure,” “clear,” “transparent,” “innocent,” and implies a state of righteousness – this is the true nature of our soul as it is in God and Godhead, the primordial nature of our being that remains ever virgin, ever pure, without taint or trace or stain of impurity, sin or negative karma. It is the Clear Light Nature – Or Zak, which is the Body of Truth (Amet).

Essentially, this divine or enlightened nature – neshamah, and the hayyah and yechidah within her, become obscured by the accumulation of karmic patterns or klippot in the mind or soul-stream, veiled and encrusted, as it were, by the karmic continuum of consciousness in dualism, ignorance. Nevertheless, within and behind the karmic continuum of the soul and all gradations of consciousness there is this Great Natural Perfection, the Clear Light Nature or Bornless Being.

As a contemplation of this holiness, this divine nature, we might contemplate the words of the apostle speaking of King Melchizedek of Salem:

“Without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but resembling the [Son of El], he remains priest forever” (Hebrews 7:3).

This is the very nature of our holy neshamah – our supernal soul, and this is the sacred priesthood into which we are ordained by El Elyon through the grace embodied in Yeshua Messiah – when all sin is forgiven, when all negative karma is dispelled, when all that is illusory or unreal is removed, this is what we are in our true nature: Bornless Being, Pure Being, Supernal and Divine, as we behold embodied in Adonai Yeshua.

It is not as though we must get something we do not have, but rather we must recognize and realize, and embody, this Body of Truth, this Clear Light Nature in us – the truth of ourselves as we are in Eheieh (the Divine I Am), or in El Elyon (the Supreme).

This Name of God holds the power of the forgiveness of sin, the dispelling of all negative karma, and is fully activated by the holy sacrifice of Yeshua Messiah upon the Cross – restoration to the Great Natural Perfection.

Accordingly, this Holy Name is an invocation of the Supernal Influx – the spiritual nuclear fire from above, for the purification of the seven interior stars and all levels of consciousness, from the depth to the surface; if called upon with active repentance or reintegration to the Light Continuum (Yahweh), it has the power to dispel even the most powerful karmic seeds.

What is active repentance? It is the making of offerings in sacrifice. One of the most common practices of self-purification and repentance in wisdom traditions is through fasting and prayer; through conscious fasting we subjugate and overcome the bestial nature and purify ourselves, and it has the power to root out very powerful karmic seeds when performed in faith and with a good heart. This is reflected by the teaching of Adonai Yeshua when the disciples encountered a demon they could not cast out of a person and the Master said to them, “This kind [of evil spirit] can only be cast out through fasting and prayer” (Mark 9:29).

There is still a far more excellent way of active repentance, however, even more effective than fasting and prayer – it is acts of loving-kindness and charity, the active expression of the love and compassion of the Messiah, which is a drawing near to Elyon, the Most High, who is the All-Giver.

When there is active repentance or reintegration with the Light Continuum this Holy Name has its full power and effect.

Now, along with this there is power in this Holy Name for the tikkune-healing of speech – as Adonai Yeshua teaches us, it is not what goes into our mouths that defiles us or that generates negative karma, but it is what comes out of our mouths, the speech of an impure and hardened heart. There are many things we tend to speak that would be best left unspoken: unkind and unnecessary words, often even when true, malicious gossip, slander, defamation, profanity, vain and idle conversation communicating nothing of any real substance or meaning, and so on.

In this Holy Name is the power to purify our speech and the empowerment to bring about the tikkune-healing of harm to our soul and to the souls of others that has been brought about by negative speech; likewise, in this Name of God is the empowerment for right speech – speech that is in harmony with and that expresses the Spirit of Truth, the Holy Light of God.

On a more subtle and esoteric level, as is well known among initiates of the tradition, there are angels that are lower than souls (neshamot) and there are those that are higher than souls – although the world of angels is below the Supernal World and the world of souls, there are also very holy and lofty angels of the Supernal World, Atzilut, and of the Primordial Sphere, Adam Kadmon. If called upon in a state of purity and holiness, with a continuum for the generation of merit, through the blessing and grace of God in this Holy Name we may commune with these great and holy maggidim – these eternal and ancient ones, and we may bring forth something of their presence and power into this world.

Of these holy and ancient ones, of course, we can speak no more, save to one who draws near in true sacred friendship and who knows already.

A Holy Meditation with the Name: Natural Perfection

If you wish to purify obstructions to the recognition of the Clear Light Nature, or find a need to restore yourself to the Great Natural Perfection – the true Sanctuary of Grace; then take up a continuum of self-purification and active repentance, seeking to reintegrate your soul with the Light Continuum, and call upon this Holy Name.

The most essential way is Primordial Meditation, resting the mind or soul in its intrinsic nature; then, there is Union with Partzuf by way of the transference of consciousness, bringing all into fruition through Clear Light Union.

However, here is another way:

Take up a continuum of self-purification and active repentance, and intensify your worship, generating great passion and zeal; and bring this continuum to fruition by way of a ceremony of baptism.

On the day of the water ceremony, before you go out, unify your soul with the Holy Sefirot, and cleave to the Sefirot as to the Messiah and Shekinah of Messiah; and rededicate yourself to the service of heaven, offering yourself and your life – soul, heart, mind and body, all that you are and all that you have, in service to El Elyon.

Unify the Pillar of Judgment into the Pillar of Mercy; then envision and intone the Holy Name: Yo-Yo-Za.

When you arise from the waters of baptism know this Holy Name having its full effect – abide in Primordial Contemplation, go and sin no more. This completes the movement.

This is the practice.

*This is a good practice for the novice and adept alike, and not only do we enact this for ourselves but on behalf of all our relations, taking the sin or karma of all upon ourselves and bringing it into cessation in the Sanctuary of Grace.

A Practice among the Navim: Knowledge of Supernal & Primordial Angels

There is a time for the invocation of the knowledge of the Supernal Maggidim – when it is time and the Holy Spirit calls, generating a state of purity and holiness the navi will go out on spiritual retreat as on a vision quest, and in solitude, well away from the minds of profane men and women, they will invoke a Great Convocation of all Divine Powers and they will call upon this Holy Name invoking the holy and ancient ones of the Light Continuum.

When they perform the sacred ceremony of the Great Convocation they will do so in the Spirit, not by way of the rites taught in the Outer Order, and they will enact the invocations in union with the Supernal Human One of Light, standing between the worlds, one foot on land and the other on the waters as the Great Maggid.

In the midst of the Great Luminous Assembly – their Body of Glory manifest as the Palace of Light arising from the Body of Truth, they will intone the Holy Name:

Ya-Yo-Ha-Yi-Vo-Za-Hu

Then they will intone the Holy Name: Ya-Ya-Za

The fruition of the movement will flow from their communion with the Immortals of the Pleroma.

This is the practice.

*This invocation is not performed by navim for the vanity of secret knowledge gathered for themselves alone, but it is performed for the sake of the increase of the Continuum of Light Transmission, as well as for the emanation of new streams of the Light Transmission, new branches of the Tree of Life.

**The inner form of the Great Convocation is taught by way of an initiation or empowerment in the tradition – it is an experiential transmission that is shown to initiates; it cannot be communicated in writing or speech apart from the actual experience of the sacred ceremony invoking it. The outer form, which is the Four Base Rituals, does hint at it however; thus apart from the initiation or empowerment it is through the study and practice of the outer form that some insight into the Great Convocation might be gleaned through the grace of the Holy Spirit.

Angels of the Name

The angels of this Holy Name are Yartziel, Y’Gartziel and Zakriel; they are among the holy and ancient ones.

This concludes our sacred discourse on the Fortieth Name of Gevurot through the blessing and help of God. Hallelu El – Praise God! Amen.

The Fortieth Name of Hasidim: He-Alef-Ain

Adonai Yeshua taught us, saying, “Let your eye be single and your whole body will be filled with light.” This, exactly, is the power of this Holy Name.

There is a practice taught in the tradition that corresponds to the power of this Holy Name – empowered by way of the Holy Chrism, the Sign of Initiation upon the brow and the blessing of the Holy Tzaddik, the initiate draws their full attention to the brow, to the star in the center of their head, and envisioning a Sun of White Brilliance therein, they intone Yeshua Messiah (or Yahweh Yeshua) into that center; when the empowerment as been received, or by way of Divine Grace, sight opens into the World of the Holy Spirit.

This is the power in this Holy Name, and often it is joined to this practice.

This Holy Name also corresponds with the power of the Body of Glory arising from the Body of Truth – it holds the empowerment for the purification of the Five Essential Lights in the innate purity of Spirit-Space, and the natural and spontaneous arising of the Pure Primordial Elements as the Body of Glory and Body of Emanation. Seeking knowledge and understanding of the Threefold Body of Melchizedek in meditation initiates call upon this Holy Name.

Now this Holy Name of Hasidim joins with its parallel among the Gevurot very well, for as the Name of the Gevurot purifies karmic seeds, this Name of the Hasidim purifies karma vision – the vision of ignorance.

When initiates invoke this Holy Name to purify karmic vision they do so in basically the same way as the corresponding Name of the Gevurot, and often the two Holy Names are called upon together in the same continuum so that both the karmic seeds and karmic vision are purified. A continuum like this, for example, is often performed by initiates seeking the spiritual empowerments given in the Melchizedek teachings – empowerments of Primordial Contemplation, recognition of the non-dual truth.

A Meditation with the Name: Opening Sight

Receiving the blessing and empowerment, taking up the inner chant of Yahweh Yeshua into the center of your head, at the end of the cycle of the chant envision the Holy Letters of this Name in the Sun of White Brilliance, the condensation of the sparkling splendor of the rainbow hues, and take up the chant of this Holy Name: Ha-Ah-Ai, merging your mind with the chant completely, and seeing.

When you see, let your worship be Spirit-filled and Spirit-led, abiding in perfect devekut, rapturous union – such is true gnostic worship. This completes the movement.

This is the practice, and it is perfect!

Another Holy Meditation: Repose of the Serpent

Go within, and cleaving to Adonai Messiah in your heart, receive the Holy Light from above; unify Eheieh with Adonai, and as you do let that Holy Light strike your root star like lightening, and envision the awakening and ascent of the Fire Snake.

Unify Adonai with Elohim, and unify Elohim with Yahweh – as you do this, with conscious intention uplift the Serpent Power to the brow and hold it in repose there; then chant El Shaddai, and when you fall silent abide in hitbodedut, waiting upon Ruach Ha-Kodesh.

The inspirations of the Holy Spirit complete this movement.

This is the practice and it is delightful!

A Practice among the Navim: The Image of the Glory of Yahweh

When Ha-Shem and the Divine Powers have been invoked, and offerings have been made and the Shema intoned, let the son or daughter of the navim bow down, and divesting themselves of the klippah of matter and the world, let them arise in the Image of the Glory of Yahweh in Body of Light, their Body of Light formed of the Holy Letters of the Great Name of God.

In the spaciousness of mind in the Body of Light, breathing the Radiant Holy Breath in worship of Eheieh, let them intone Yah Yahweh Yeshua Eheieh, and then let them envision the dissolution of the Holy Letters of the Great Name into one another, He to Yod, the dissolution of their Body of Light into Pure Space; when the Ruach moves let them intone the Holy Name through the power of Ruach: Ha-Ah-Ao, and let them know in the Ruach the deep mystery of the generation of the Body of Glory and Body of Emanation.

The movement of Ruach Ha-Kodesh and passing by of the presence of Yahweh brings all to fruition.

This is the practice.

Angels of the Name

Hansamel, A’ Galgaliel and Ai’ Avotael are the holy angels of this Name of God; they are from the order of the Ashim and know secret mysteries of the generation of Light-Vestures, as well as having knowledge of the Divine Names and Mystic Words that are in them.

This concludes our sacred discourse on the Fortieth Names of the Gevurot and Hasidim through the grace of the LORD and companionship of the Holy Shekinah. Hallelu Yahweh! Praise the LORD! Amen.

We praise and we bless Your Great Name, Holy One, and we bow down, praying that You uplift us into Yourself – as You uplift us in the Great Resurrection may all living spirits and souls be uplifted in ascent with us, all being received in Hayyah Yeshua. Amen.

Blessings & shalom!

He-Alef-Ayin

#2 Postby Elder Gideon » Sat Oct 15, 2016 9:37 am

Shalom Tau Malachi:

Now this Holy Name of Hasidim joins with its parallel among the Gevurot very well, for as the Name of the Gevurot purifies karmic seeds, this Name of the Hasidim purifies karma vision – the vision of ignorance.

This Holy Name holds two letters that are their own mystery. Among other Names of Hasidim the Sixtieth (Alef-Ayin-Dalet), the Sixty-Second (Alef-Chet-Ayin), the Sixty-Ninth Name (Lamed-Alef-Ayin), and among Sixty-Seventh Names of Gevurot (Alef-Yod-Ayin), all hold a contemplation I've not considered until now.

Alef and Ayin are very enigmatic throughout Hebrew words. Alef will sometimes be silent in a word, unpronounced, while Ayin always takes a sound. When Alef does take a sound, like Ayin, whichever the letter is in that word has to be memorized, as they function very similarly. Apart from memory, it's not discernible which is which letter in a word.

You've even taught me once that Ayin is a kind of false Alef, for there are homonyms throughout Hebrew—words that sound exactly the same but might have different, even contrasting meaning—that play upon Alef or Ayin, such as in the Hebrew word or for light and skin. There are other words that are radically changed by Alef or Ayin: the Hebrew word for Human (Adam) or what is anti-human (Edom), Nothingness (Ain) or Poverty (Eyn). The list of such similar yet contrasting words is long and very fascinating.

Here, if I may ask, is a play upon Alef and Ayin as two potentially contrasting sides of Heh, which we regard as a letter for Holy Mother and her matrix. Letting Heh be the principle of vision, if from ignorance I will see in Ayin: duality, complexity, and ambiguity. If from awareness, I will see in Alef: unity, simplicity, and clarity.

Given these connotations with Alef and Ayin, what more may be drawn out of this Holy Name opening with the letter Heh?

Gratefully,

Elder Gideon

Shabbat Shalom Tau Malachi and Elder Gideon!

I am so very thankful for this post which has brought many questions and contemplation's to mind. As an initiate who is just beginning to study the Names of God, I so appreciate this study of the Fortieth Names, and also appreciate your question Gideon.

What has been swirling around in my contemplation is something similar to what you had mentioned Gideon, and your question.

Could it be that what these Names are alluding to is living in the "balance" so to speak- between living a righteous life here in this body of flesh while at the same time transcending the flesh. It reminds of running and returning, and or scintillating consciousness. It seems to point to the center point of "nothingness'. Alef being transcendent and Ayin being our ego mind? This really stood out to me when you had mentioned Elder Gideon that "Ayin is kind of a false Alef".

I am looking forward to hearing what more can be shared about this Name! Again-being new to this wonderful study of the Names, corrections are welcome!

Blessings and much gratitude!

Grace and peace to you in Hayyah Yeshua!

There is something more that may be shared about this Holy Name, for with all of these Names of God there are many corresponding spiritual powers and divine actions, what has been written on them merely being an introduction to the Names for initiates wishing to take them up in prayer, meditation and sacred ritual.

Look and see! He corresponds with the Holy Shekinah and Alef corresponds with the Holy Spirit, and Ayn corresponds with “sight,” “seeing” or “vision”; understanding this, this Holy Name is among those invoked to bring visions of the energetic dimension, or inner dimensions, and specifically heavens and angels. Thus, calling upon this Name the Holy Shekinah and Spirit may gifts us with “true sight,” as well as the discernment of spirits that we encounter.

There is something more, however, for if an initiate understands the mysteries of the consecration of sacred objects and applies that knowledge, invoking this Holy Name, through glance or gazing they may draw the spiritual essence of things into them, and they may draw out the light-power or fiery-intelligence that is in them, using that light and fire in service to the kingdom of heaven.

When Alef precedes Ayn in a Holy Name on some level there is power in that Name of God to bring the spiritual into the material, or to spiritualize the material; hence, a power of consecration and embodiment. If we contemplate this Holy Name, very distinctly there is the power to spiritualize and bring full vitality into virtually any material power, any object of desire in the world, and restore it to the service of the kingdom of heaven.

When Ayn precedes Alef there is power for the opposite divine action, the drawing of things in ascent and dissolution, the uplifting and reintegration o sparks with the Light of the Infinite.

As perhaps you might intuit, given what’s been shared of the empowerment of glance or gaze to bring the spiritual essence into things, consecrating them, this Holy Name is also among those invoked with an intention of Light Transmission through glance or gaze.

May the Holy Spirit open our eyes so that we can see the kingdom of heaven spread out upon the earth and abide in it in This World and the World-That-Is-Coming! Amen.

Shabbat Shalom!

Shalom Tau Malachi!

Thank you for sharing more on the mystery of these Holy Names. I read on your post on the Fortieth Names of God that the Angels of these Names are from the order of Ashim and have knowledge of secret mysteries of the generation of light vestures.

Also with the Fortieth Name of the Gevurot you have written that Yod-Yod-Zain have to do with invocation of supernal influx - a spiritual nuclear fire from above. It also has power of tikkune healing of speech. You have also shared that the name holds the power of the forgiveness of sin, the dispelling of negative Karma.

Can we say that in order to use this name He-Alef-Ain in order to draw out the light power from an object- or for Light Transmission with a glance, happens when we are purified by this Holy Nuclear Fire,(Yod-Yod-Zain) which purifies our thoughts and speech which then allows us to be clothed with the light? (Light Vesture)

I am wondering what more can be shared in relation to both the Gevurot and Hasidim as they relate to light transmission. I am also curious if a Tzaddik is normally aware if and when a transmission is given and received, or if this done in secret akin to the Holy Spirit working in ways that we are not aware of. Or, maybe it is sometimes neither/or. Many times while reading the teachings on this Forum, I am aware of a transmission from just reading the words written, which lead to many joyous contemplations and meditations.

I pray my questions are appropriate and I thank you for all that has been shared!
Blessings,
Elizabeth

Grace and peace to you in Hayyah Yeshua!

The Names of the Gevurot and Hasidim stand on their own, each corresponding with supernal and spiritual power of the Holy One, and corresponding divine actions of the Holy Shekinah; they also, however, go together in pairs and can be invoked as a single theurgic action in prayer, meditation and sacred ritual, one movement of the Holy Light and Spirit of the Infinite (Ain Sof). Thus, if there were an intention for a transmission of Supernal Light and initiate having the ability of conscious Light Transmission might call upon the Name of Gevurot, Yod-Yod-Zain, and then call upon the Name of Hasidim, He-Alef-Ayn, in the completion of the theurgic or magical action of Light Transmission.

The Gevurot, as the word implies, correspond with Gevurah, and the Hasidim with Hesed, and their unifications, or invocations as a single theurgic action, corresponds with Tiferet, or Rehamim - they are Rehamimot. These unifications are an entire study and contemplation themselves, and writings on them would generate an entire volume beyond what has already been written on these Names of God; but there is no need for such a writing, for from what is taught here initiates taking up the invocation of these Names will be able to acquire knowledge and understanding of the unifications from the Holy Spirit themselves.

Now concerning the play of Light Transmission and the communication of the Holy Spirit, at the outset, when the capacity for Light Transmission is just beginning to stir and arise with an initiate, generally speaking they are unaware of it transpiring until others bear witness to them that it is transpiring with, in and through them. Likewise, generally speaking, they do not have the capacity to invoke movements of Light Transmission consistently, or with conscious intention, but rather such movements appear to happen randomly and unpredictably, with little if any conscious control or awareness on the part of the initiate; they are, indeed, secret operations of the Holy Spirit moving with, in and through them to touch others. If and when, however, there is a greater realization and embodiment of the soul, neshamah-ruach-nefesh, and a greater embodiment of the Light-presence (Messiah) and Light-power (Holy Spirit), and there is a dawn of Supernal or Messianic Consciousness - conscious union with the Shekinah and Holy One, then an initiate, an Anointed Tzaddik, becomes very aware of movements of the Holy Light and Spirit, and is able to engage the Light Transmission with conscious intention, and they are aware of the natural and spontaneous movements of the Holy Light and Spirit that flow from their Mochin Gadlut - their realization or enlightenment.

Tzaddikim are very aware of movements of the Holy Light and Spirit of God when they are happening, whether invoked with conscious intention or happening naturally and spontaneously just the same; they are able to see, hear and feel, and know, the movements of the Spirit of God, and in these movements they are inseparable from the Shekinah of the Messiah and Holy Spirit. Such is the nature of Supernal Realization, there is an experience of conscious union with the Light-presence (Messiah) and Light-power (Holy Spirit), and quite distinctly the Holy Spirit has taken up that person and life, and in moments of Light Transmission, and various divine actions, the Holy Shekinah and Spirit becomes manifest as them.

The greatest manifestation of energetic transmission is in person with a Tzaddik, in their physical presence, or if they engage in a direct visitation through an emanation body manifestation; but there can also be something of an energetic transmission through video and audio recordings, as well as through writings, for such things serve as talismans, vehicles, of the movement of the Holy Light and Spirit that was happening when they were recorded. Understand, when Tzaddikim engage in the giving of new teachings and revelations there is always a corresponding movement of the Holy Light and Spirit, and likewise heaven and the angels, and when a recording, a talisman, is woven of that movement, video, audio or written, those who receive it in faith and love, those who are open and sensitive to the Holy Light and Spirit, can receive something of the energetic transmission within and behind their thoughts and words, even long after Tzaddikim depart from this world.

As for knowledge of who is able to receive and integrate an energetic transmission, sometimes that is known and sometimes it is not known by Tzaddikim; but their spiritual work is the transmission of blessings and empowerments, the radiance of the Holy Light and Spirit, and it is our labor to be open and sensitive to it, and receive and integrate all that we can. They do, however, know when the Holy Light and Spirit move, and they are very conscious of the play of Light Transmission, certainly so!

Also understand that when we are received and initiated as a companion of a Tzaddik their angel, an emanation of their body of glory, is with us, and likewise there is an invisible, luminous assembly with them, maggidim, angels, that move with them and co-labor with them in Light Transmission; maggidim, angels, take up the divine actions they invoke and set into motion, and they bring them to their completion, fulfilling the prayers of the Tzaddikim, all as God wills it. Thus, watching video, listening to audio, reading writings, maggidim, angels, will minister to us in the Spirit of God, and when they do there can be very distinct energetic movements that can be felt.

May the radiance of the Messiah, the Great Star of Heaven, shine brightly in the world this day and may many be blessed to receive it! Amen.
