The Watchers: In Creation & the Supernal Universe

#1 Postby Tau Malachi » Fri Jun 15, 2012 10:14 am

In response to a question: "Who are the Watchers?"

The Watchers are an order of angels that are akin to Beni Elohim, the “sons of God,” having similar knowledge and power. They are also called Grigori, and according to angelic lore they are angels that “never sleep,” but encountering the Watchers one finds that they have special sight in space and time, “standing watch,” and have deep knowledge of events that transpire in the realms, worlds and universes of creation, and knowledge of the spiritual forces within and behind what transpires.

In the Book of Jubilee we learn that Watchers were sent by God to instruct humankind, but once descending into the world they were among the Fallen, for they cohabited with mortal women, akin to some among the Beni Elohim. In 1 Enoch there are seven Watchers mentioned, and in this sacred text they are among the Fallen because they refused to engage certain missions given to them by God on time, becoming distracted and bound up in self-will. According to masters of the tradition, the Watchers among the earth-bound fallen angels hold greater knowledge and power than the Beni Elohim among the fallen, and therefore they hold dominion over the fallen angels on earth.

In the Holy Kabbalah there are both good and evil Watchers, those that serve God having their abode in Ma’on, the fifth heaven corresponding with Tiferet-Beauty, while the demonic Watchers are in the outer sphere of Shehakim, the third heaven corresponding with Hod-Splendor. This outer sphere is a sphere, or river, of intense fire, through which souls must pass into enter into the third heaven and forms a guardianship of the third heaven. This sphere of fire, or river of fire, is said to be the “perspiration of the Seraphim” generated during their intense worship in the interior presence of Yahweh. If a soul falls into fear or is not able to pass through, then it arises in a hell realm before passing into it’s next incarnation, and these Watchers are associated with the corresponding hell realm and they rise up in this sphere against souls that have not generated the merit and holiness to crossover into Shehakim.

Among the Watchers that serve God there are also some that are very fierce angels of wrath. These specifically are said to be sent for the judgment of human souls that acquire great psychic and magical power, or occult knowledge and power, who seek to shift the balance in the matrix of spiritual forces; hence, for the judgment of sorcerers who become great evil-doers willfully opposing the Kingdom of God with their knowledge and power.

As the Book of Jubilee reveals, Watcher are angels of great knowledge and are teaching angels, in this regard it is not surprising that they are established in Ma’on, the fifth heaven, for as we know in this heaven there are schools or academies of prophets, saints and apostles, and in it are various light realms generated by apostles through which souls may be nourished and nurtured into a greater spiritual realization in the Messiah. The Watchers that are in Ma’on co-labor with the holy and enlightened souls in the education of the faithful and spiritual elect souls that are able to enter into this heaven. Likewise, when deeper esoteric teachings of the Torah and Gospel are being given, those that create new angels and new heavens, there will be Watchers in that holy place co-laboring in the revelation of new teachings with the tzaddik speaking them.

There are also Watchers that stand as Great Guardians, akin to the Greater Kerubim and Greater Serafim. According to the masters of the tradition, these stand as guardians of portals or gates that exist between various universes or great cosmic cycles, ensuring certain “alien spiritual forces” do not enter this great cosmic cycle, or at times, when ordained by El Elyon, opening the way for the influx of new spiritual forces into this cosmic cycle. Likewise it is said that these stand guard at portals or gates between the primordial universe and the great cosmic cycles. As perhaps you might imagine, these archangels hold incredible knowledge and power of the mysteries of creation, Ma’aseh Bereshit.

The various orders of angels in creation also have a correspondence in the Supernal Universe or Light Continuum, thus there are also supernal Watchers, which are beyond the seven heavens. According to our Christian Kabbalah these Great Watchers have their abode in Da’at, and they hold deep knowledge of the mysteries of the Messiah and redemption. Likewise, these Watchers of Da’at of Atzilut are among the holy angels that hold knowledge and understanding of the Olam of Adam Kadmon, and the emanation of countless cycles or universes of creation from the Body of Adam Kadmon, knowledge, da’at, that can only be received with the dawn of Supernal or Messianic Consciousness. This, of course, is true of the knowledge held by all of the supernal angels, for it is incomprehensible to mental consciousness, and therefore requires the breakthrough into Supernal or Supramental Consciousness, the same pure radiant awareness in which the supernal angels abide.

O Yahweh Elohim, we pray, please let your holy angles continue to visit us and reveal themselves to us, and so continue to instruct us in mysteries of your creation, and your presence and power. Amen.

Shalom!

Shabbat Shalom, Tau!

And thank you for this teaching on the Watchers. It seems that these teachers or watchers/watchmen stand by souls going through dark nights of the soul, which feels to be the esoteric meaning behind 'never keeping their peace, until Yahweh establishes and makes Jerusalem a praise upon the earth' of Isaiah 62.

The Watchers very much feel to have an important role in the purification of souls incarnating to engage in the Great Work.

May Peace be established in Jerusalem!

More about the Watchers

#3 Postby Tau Malachi » Thu Jul 12, 2012 2:22 pm

Peace and grace to you in the Name of Yeshua Messiah!

Yes, indeed, along with angels from other orders, such as the kerubim, serafim and ashim, watchers have been associated with the guardianship of souls during the dark night’s of the soul, guarding the merit and knowledge of souls during times of tribulation. In conjunction with this, there are also watchers who, along with aralim, serve to guard and preserve the knowledge and wisdom of spiritual traditions during times of great persecution, the diminishment of faith, or during dark nights, dark ages.

As we know in our experience, awareness and knowledge purify souls, ignorance being the cause of impurity, and in that watchers are integral to the spiritual education of souls, as are malakim, hashmalim, and ashim, so they do serve in the purification and refinement of souls who enter to take up the labor of the harvest. In much the same way that watchers guard and preserve the merit and knowledge of souls through dark nights, so they guard and preserve the merit and knowledge of souls through times of transition, and their entrance into new incarnations, and we may say that watchers are among the angels that help souls of higher grades remember, or reacquire, the knowledge, understanding and wisdom of their spiritual realization in previous incarnations.

The knowledge and power of space and time with greater watchers, and their sight throughout time, also attributes watchers with prophecy, along with hayyot and other kinds of angels, as well as the discovery of wisdom treasures, or lost knowledge. Here we may add that there are certain great watchers who hold the knowledge and power to teach how the body of light may be sent, or emanate, into the distant past or the future, and have a power of influence or affect, shifting movements through the continuums of space-time; and they can also impart intimate knowledge of the infinite multiplicity of simultaneous space-time continuums, and therefore have deep knowledge of souls and the play of the gilgulim, akin to greater hayyot.

The manifesting or materializing power of many of the watchers, akin to that of certain angels among the Beni Elohim, comes from their knowledge of space and time, and their ability to manipulate space and time through a deep knowledge of the law upon which all is founded.

There is a secret mystery the Holy Spirit would have me share. As we know, there are six archangels associated with the sacred circle, and there are five watchers associated with the Blessed Name of Yeshua; just as the six archangels are intimately involved in the Supernal Light Transmission that flows from the Risen Messiah, so are these five watchers intimately involved with it as well. In fact, many among the great watchers are involved in the Supernal Light Transmission, laboring for the full realization of the Spirit of the Messiah throughout creation.

The five, though, specifically labor for the extension of the Holy Light of the Blessed Name, Yeshua, into all realms, world and universes within space-time; hence, the raying out of the Spiritual Sun that shines in the resurrection.

In just the same way that we invoke the name of the archangels for the extension of the Light of the True Cross (Seth), so very often we also invoke the names of these great watchers, great guardians of the Continuum of Light Transmission, for the extension of the Holy Light.

Here it is given that I may share their names:

Yahiel, H’iel, Shoaiel, Vauel and Huel; calling upon these, intoning their names, it becomes all vowel sounds concluding in El, Mercy.

These are intoned to the directions corresponding with the Holy Letters of the Blessed Name, and each holds knowledge of the corresponding Holy Letter and Olam.

These were a few more teachings concerning the Order of Watchers I was inclined to share.

Peace be with you, and God bless you!

Watchers and Irin

#4 Postby Elder Gideon » Fri Sep 27, 2013 3:47 pm

Shalom Tau Malachi:

Among the Watchers that serve God there are also some that are very fierce angels of wrath. These specifically are said to be sent for the judgment of human souls that acquire great psychic and magical power, or occult knowledge and power, who seek to shift the balance in the matrix of spiritual forces; hence, for the judgment of sorcerers who become great evil-doers willfully opposing the Kingdom of God with their knowledge and power.

In my study of the angels of the Book of Daniel, I was surprised to find mention in chapter 4 of what are translated in English as Watchers, who speak judgment against King Nebuchadnezzar in his second vision:

"The tree that you saw, which grew great and strong, so that its top reached to heaven and was visible to the end of the whole earth, whose foliage was beautiful and its fruit abundant, and which provided food for all, under which animals of the field lived, and in whose branches the birds of the air had nests— it is you, O king! You have grown great and strong. Your greatness has increased and reaches to heaven, and your sovereignty to the ends of the earth. And whereas the king saw a holy watcher coming down from heaven and saying, “Cut down the tree and destroy it, but leave its stump and roots in the ground, with a band of iron and bronze, in the grass of the field; and let him be bathed with the dew of heaven, and let his lot be with the animals of the field, until seven times pass over him”

"The sentence is rendered by decree of the watchers,
the decision is given by order of the holy ones,
in order that all who live may know
that the Most High is sovereign over the kingdom of mortals;
he gives it to whom he will
and sets over it the lowliest of human beings."

Tracking down the spelling of this angel, עִיר, pronounced "eer", I was further surprised by its similarity with your writing on Irin & Kaddishin, who are Great Angels of Supernal Judgment. I wish not to confuse the loftiness of the Irin & Kaddishin of whom you've written elsewhere, and yet this Watcher in Daniel is in Hebrew Ir. What more may be said of this particular instance of Watcher in the Book of Daniel?

Gratefully,

Elder Gideon

Grace, peace and blessings to you from Messiah Yeshua, our Adonai!

Yes, indeed, the Grigori, as well as the Irin, are called “watchers,” the Irin appearing in Daniel, as well as Book of Enoch. The prophecies of Daniel, as we know, are quite lofty. We may recall his vision of the Fifth Kingdom, the Messianic Kingdom, in which he gazed into Atik Yomin, the Ancient of Days, and the mystery of the Messiah emanating from this inmost Holy Partzuf. It is not surprising that he would have knowledge of the Irin and Kaddishin, not in the least. While Supernal Consciousness and the Habad of Atzilut did not become p’nimi, internalized, until the appearance of the Messiah, nevertheless the great prophets had experiences of it, glimpses as it were, and when their souls were carried by Ruach Ha-Kodesh into the heights they held this knowledge as makifin, encircling or transcendent knowledge in the soul and light body. It was in this way that they could see and hear and know mysteries of the Messiah and give prophecies and apocalypses concerning the Messiah, and open the way for the coming of the Messiah, all through Divine Grace, Ruach Ha-Kodesh.

The prophecies of the coming of the Messiah, the Savior and Great Revealer, were the manifestation of the Supernal Mercy of God in the time of great tribulation and persecution during the long exile in Babylon, and the nature of these prophecies and apocalypses was to assure the children of Israel that they would be delivered from their bondage by the power of God, and would be brought in from their long exile, returned to the Holy Land. As we know, however, the salvation the Holy One intended was even greater than most among the children of Israel could ever have imagined or conceived, the enlightenment and liberation of souls from bondage to the gilgulim, or transmigrations, and the revelation of a Holy King and Kingdom not of this world, but of heaven. Understanding that the return of the children of Israel to the Holy Land and the rebuilding of the temple were integral to the coming of the Messiah and manifestation of the kingdom of heaven on earth, the various divine actions for the preservation and deliverance of the children of Israel, and their return from exile, naturally involved very great and lofty divine beings or angels, including the influence and actions of supernal angels.

When the Holy One wishes to bring about radical shifts in the matrix of great powers in this world, and seeks to diminish the power of great archons and their angels, the power of supernal angels will be joined with that of the angels of creation, and the supernal princes will send angels from among their concealed orders to take action. As you may recalled, the archon of Babylon was so powerful that we are told by Daniel that it was able to delay the action of an archangel, and in this we may understand the need for the intercession of the Irin and Kaddishin. Just as with archangels and angels of their orders, the angels sent forth by supernal angels from their legions will often bear their name. Thus, the Irin and Kaddishin, enacting Ratzon Elyon, the Will of the Most High, initiated this action of Supernal Judgment.

Listen and hear, and understand! The Name of Elyon appears in this prophecy, corresponding with Keter, and the Supernals, and the decree and decision of Elyon is uttered by the Irin and Kaddishin, the “watchers” and “order of the holy ones,” who set this judgment into motion as ordained by Elyon.

This hints at deep mysteries of these holy and supernal angels, or what has been called the “supernal court” of the Holy One. When the Messiah is entering into a world-system the Irin and Kaddishin are set into motion to open the way, shifting the balance of the archonic powers so that the Messiah may appear among the chosen people in that world, bringing salvation, or enlightenment and liberation to that world; hence, the Supernal Light Transmission.

Here we may note an open secret concerning this Name of God, Elyon. This Holy Name begins with Ayn, and therefore in this Name the “Eye of God” is implied, and this corresponds with the knowledge and power of the Irin and Kaddishin, for they are able to see and know through the “Eye of God,” seeing throughout all space-time, and gazing into all realms, worlds and universes of God’s creation, as well as having awareness of the Primordial Universe, Adam Kadmon. Because of this, they have been called “angelic prophets” among supernal angels, and likewise at times they are called “watchers.”

When we look into the Name of Elyon, understanding that the power of this Name is in the Irin and Kaddishin, joined with the power of Ayn, the “Eye of God,” there is the power of Lamed-Yod-Vau-Nun. Lamed corresponds with the driving force of evolution within creation, and the impulse for realization or return to God. Yod corresponds with the power of the Sefirot, and the “Hand of God,” and Vau with the power through which the Sefirot are actualized and realized, and though which unification with the Sefirot is accomplished. Nun corresponds with embodiment, and with enlightenment and liberation. In this we gain deeper insight into the ordination and operations of these great and holy supernal angels of El Elyon, God Most High.

It is interesting, and is awesome and wonderful, to behold the reach of the soul of this great navi, or seer, into Supernal and Messianic Mysteries again and again through the Good Grace of God, Ruach Ha-Kodesh; it suggests that Daniel was a Baal Shem, a Master of the Name in his generation.

O Holy One, we praise and bless Your Name, and we pray, please continue to seeing great tzaddikim and maggidim to walk among us, and please continue Your revelation among us! Amen.

Yahweh Shalom!
