Greetings in the Light of the Messiah !

Recent contemplations on Yeshua Messiah as Hayyah Yeshua have led me down some interesting turns in my mediations and discussions.

I think many of us here were raised in an Orthodox church background and, while we usually felt or grew to feel a little out of place in that arena, that setting also gave us familiarity for our current path. In fact, I think it prepared us for this path of greater knowing or understanding, enabling us to take the outer teachings and potentially apply them more fully to our hearts and minds.

Some of us grew up with a real love of the one we called Jesus Christ. Whether we loved him because he was a wonderful man and teacher or because we thought he was God incarnate is beside the point, I think. Our job now -- as individuals first and then within our circles and wider Sophian community and beyond -- is to understand who he was/ is beyond our traditional view or even our most recent understanding on our current path. I'm saying this because I'm thinking that our understanding of just who Yeshua was both before and after his resurrection is continually unfolding for us all on a daily basis in the process of our spiritual walk which we come to understand is life itself if we take up the cross. Taking up the cross means to walk as Christ (light) bearers -- and what an awesome and humbling responsibility is that. Praise the Shekinah of the Messiah for our awakening in-to a greater remembrance.

I think Saying 13 from the Gospel of Thomas speaks volumes into this mystery of Yeshua Messiah and Hayyah Yeshua.

Jesus said to his disciples, "Compare me to something and tell me what I am like."
Simon Peter said to him, "You are like a just messenger."

Matthew said to him, "You are like a wise philosopher."

Thomas said to him, "Teacher, my mouth is utterly unable to say what you are like."

Jesus said, "I am not your teacher. Because you have drunk, you have become intoxicated from the bubbling spring that I have tended."

And he took him, and withdrew, and spoke three sayings to him. When Thomas came back to his friends they asked him, "What did Jesus say to you?"

Thomas said to them, "If I tell you one of the sayings he spoke to me, you will pick up rocks and stone me, and fire will come from the rocks and devour you."

Truly amazing. What could be so astounding about this disciple's rather vague, non-committed response that would lead to a special session on the inner teachings? What about those inner teachings could be so profound they could overwhelm the hearer to the point of devouring him or her? It gives hope and inspiration to those for whom the concept of the Messiah continues to unfold as we might also find ourselves saying we are unable to say who Yeshua is like.

If I believe Yeshua Messiah came from a previous life-cycle as an enlightened One, then that possibly means he was already fully joined -- or close to being fully joined -- to Yahweh Elohim and the Soul of the Messiah. So, although he may have restarted here in this life cycle as from the beginning, the fact that he was from the Light before this incarnation is important. The Light Transmission had to come through a powerful soul. After his resurrection, was he not incarnated to walk the earth with his disciples as Hayyah Yeshua and the Soul of the Messiah, a pure emanation of the Holy One of Being? If this was the first time the Soul of the Messiah actually walked the earth then the Light Transmission must have streamed mightily through at that point to Lady Mary and his other disciples.

I'm thinking finding our repose in Hayyah Yeshua and loving Hayyah Yeshua with all of our heart, mind, and soul points to a greater understanding of the All. So much more could be said and I hope this sparks responses from others who may feel trapped or afraid of loving Yeshua as fully as we might have growing up in the outer church. How do we love Yeshua Messiah? How do we love Hayyah Yeshua?

I think the answer may rest somewhere in this question: How do we gnow and love our own soul as part of the Mystical Body of Christ?

Shalom!

Greetings and blessings in the Light of Christ!

First it seems that it must be said that the reality of Christ is a great and supreme spiritual mystery, and all that Christ accomplishes is in a mystery – unlike a “mystery” in a cheap detective novel, which can be deduced and solved by finite reason, for it is born of finite reason, a spiritual mystery is infinite, being born from the Infinite (Ain Sof), and there is no solution or comprehension of it by finite reason, but only faith, the intelligence of our heart and soul, does insight into spiritual mysteries dawn.

There is no end to the mystery of Christ, and therefore there is no end to the knowledge, understanding and wisdom of that holy mystery – our knowledge, understanding and wisdom of Christ is always growing in the Christian life.

An ongoing contemplation and meditation upon Christ is at the very center of the Christian life, cleaving to Christ with our mind, heart and body, and with our soul, whether we are a mainstream Christian or Gnostic Christian, just the same we perpetually contemplate the mystery of Christ and the Divine Incarnation; only in the case of a Gnostic, our contemplation ventures into the deeper mystical and metaphysical dimensions of Christ, going beyond the imposition of dogmatic doctrines of the outer church.

In the Sophian view, the outer, inner and secret teachings of the Gospel are inseparable from one another, our original faith in Jesus Christ or Yeshua Messiah is not negated by our gnosis of the cosmic and primordial Christ, but rather our knowledge and understanding of Christ has increased and expanded, and we understand that what we call Christ or Messiah is much more than what we conceived at the outset of our faith. We know that Jesus, Yeshua, is Christ, Messiah, but we know that Christ or Messiah has appeared in many different forms, to various people, in various lands, and not only in this world, but in countless worlds, and not only on earth, but in the heavens too, and in this knowledge, this gnosis, we know that salvation is universal.

To know Jesus Christ, Yeshua Messiah, as our Lord and Savior, and as the Gnostic Revealer, do not contradict one another – these are the two actions of Christ, the Human One of Light; there is, indeed, an atonement for our sin, a dispelling of karma, but there is also a revelation of Truth and Light dispelling ignorance, which is the underlying cause of sin or karma, a teaching for the enlightenment and liberation of the soul freed from bondage to the law, bondage to sin.

When does Yeshua become the Messiah, when does he recognize and realize his innate union with God, the True Light? According to the masters of the tradition, it is during his baptism by Yohanan in the Sacred Jordan, though, indeed, all the while, even before his birth, the truth of his soul, the nature of his soul, was the Messiah, as with all souls, all emanating from the Pleroma of Light, the eternal realm. Recognizing and realizing the Messiah in himself, embodying the Messiah he takes up the divine action of the Messiah, the role of the Savior and Gnostic Revealer in our world; and we may say that in the revelation of the Supernal Light, Supernal Being, and the full emanation of Supernal Consciousness-Force, he is the firstborn from among the dead, and does, indeed, hold the place of the Son of God to us, or the “Sun of God,” as we are inclined to say in the Sophian Gnostic tradition.

As for the person of the Master, in his self-realization he is the Christ, just as we originally believed, but as we have come to know and understand Christ more intimately, and received something of the illumination of the Holy Spirit, we know that Christ is not isolate to him, but that Christ appears in many forms, all for the sake of the harvest of souls, universal salvation.

He is the Christ, and yet the Christ is not isolate to this single appearance – because of our heart connection with him, and our passionate love of him, to us he is The Beloved, and yet we know and understand, in an unfathomable mystery, that Christ assumes many other forms, the Beloved appearing in whatever form will bring about the fruition of love in union, enlightenment and liberation.

Through the person of Jesus, Yeshua, Christ comes to us, Christ is revealed and made known to us, and therefore we honor and adore him above all others, and we worship Christ and El Elyon in him and through him. On one level, there is the Christ-bearer and there is the Christ, and yet, on another level, in perfect union, there is no such distinction, the Christ-bearer is the Christ, the emanation of Eheieh, the Divine I Am.

He is full human, and he is fully divine – all in a mystery. How awesome! How marvelous! How amazing!

He is the image, the reality, of our destiny, as though our future self, which, paradoxically, is our present self, if only we can look and see, and recognize, the truth of our soul in the Risen Christ: that Christ, the Logos and the Sophia, is the very essence and nature of our soul, our yechidah, or holy spark or unique essence.

Now, many great adepts and masters have lived and moved among us, and in various ways they have embodied and transmitted this Light-presence and Light-power, the Human One of Light, the Messiah (Anointed); but in every case the way of transmission, revelation, teaching and initiation is unique, and among them the Light Transmission is manifest at various gradations, reaching out to souls at various points in their development and evolution. The Light Transmission embodied and imparted by Master Yeshua is completely unique – no other Holy Master formed the sanctuary of grace through making themselves a holy sacrifice for the sins of the world as he did, and no other was raised from the dead to walk in the resurrection as he was raised from the dead. The Supernal Light Transmission made manifest by him was of the highest gradation, yet here and there a few other Holy Masters have embodied the same gradation of Light Transmission, though their way of revelation, teaching and initiating was different, unique to them.

Yeshua Messiah, however, is our Heart Tzaddik, and he is our Way, and so we are Christians with passionate love for him, cleaving to him and worshipping Christ in him, as is fitting; and in so doing we recognize and realize Christ in us, and we receive the Holy Spirit from God, the True Light – and so we are saved.

In our original faith, we believed we were to become Christ-like, and that remains completely true to this very day – we labor to be and become Christ-like, imitating the Holy Master, our Lord and Savior. Yet, as our faith has matured and born the fruit of gnosis, we also know and understand that we are to be and become Christ, and we know that we are destined to be the Christ to other worlds, the Savior and Gnostic Revealer to other souls – we know that what we see in the First Born Son of God is the destiny of every son or daughter of God, and we know the Sun of God manifest as a Comity of Stars, one and many Light-bearers.

The “Son of the Human One,” as Yeshua said, is the “only begotten Son of God” – there is one Christ, one Light-presence and Light-power, and yet there are many emanations of Christ – in true essence and nature, all are Christ, this Divine I Am, this Divine I Shall Be, and anyone who fully recognizes and realizes the Christ as their true being is the Christ, for Christ is embodied in full in that holy person.

There is, however, only one Light-presence and Light-power, and though it is manifest in a unique and individual way when realized and embodied, it is one and the same Light-presence and Light-power, Divine and Supernal.

The holy one who opens the way and facilitates this self-realization in me, the holy one who saves me, of that one what shall I say? To me that one is Lord and Savior – Adonai and Messiah, and I will love that Anointed One in a very special way, as no other! How could it be any other way? Yeshua gave his life for my sins, my negative karma, and he dispels the enchantments of ignorance – he opened the Way before me, leads me in the Way, and is the Way to me!

Here we may speak a mystery though, for every love in Christ, every manifestation of the love of Christ, is unique – although unconditional, every love, every compassionate gesture, is unique; our love of God and of every being is unique – no two loves are the same!

That’s the richness of love arising from the source of all love, the Infinite!

Now, there are precious few masters that have embodied, or do embody, the fullness of this Light-presence and Light-power to the extent of Adonai Yeshua, Lord Jesus; but then, there are precious few who could draw near to a Holy Master of such a lofty grade to receive the Light Transmission directly from them in full glory and power. There are, however, adepts and masters, tzaddikim or apostles, who embody something of this Holy and Supernal Light among us, more or less, and who impart this Light Transmission at various gradations, all according to the desire and capacity to receive embodied in their spiritual companions, their retinue of spiritual friends. From the time of Adonai Yeshua to this very day the Continuum of Light Transmission has remained among us, and it will continue to remain among us until the end-of-days, and all is accomplished in this world.

Thus, while in our original faith we tended always to look to the past, as our faith has matured we have learned to look equally into the present – we know that the revelation of the Holy Gospel is ongoing here and now, today, and we seek to receive the Light Transmission in the same way as the original disciples, with eyes of holy awe and wonder in the presence of Emmanuel – “God is with us.”

Our Heart Tzaddik, our Root Tzaddik, our Inner Tzaddik, it is all one and the same Holy Tzaddik, one and the same Light-presence and Light-power, the Christ presence and Holy Spirit; and all of this transpires in the Holy Mother, through the dance of the Holy Bride, the Shekinah of the Messiah.

All of this was set into motion by Yeshua Messiah, and all of this was brought into fruition by Hayyah Yeshua; Yeshua Messiah uplifting all in the Great Resurrection and Ascension.

Here I’m inclined to pause in the discussion to wait and see what others might have to say, what insights they might share, or what questions they might have, and see where the discussion might be carried. Naturally, whatever we might share of the Sophian view is not a dogmatic doctrine we would impose on anyone, and when I share, I must share my gospel that has been given to me, the knowledge, understanding and wisdom that the Holy Spirit has granted me; within range of the Sophian view and Sophian teachings, based upon our own experience in the mystical journey, we will each have our own gospel, and in the tradition we are encouraged to seek our own gospel, our own knowledge, understanding and wisdom of Christ – gnosis of the Risen Christ.

Through faith we are saved by Divine Grace, and through Divine Grace we acquire True Gnosis – faith is the beginning of our salvation, and gnosis is the fruition.

O Adonai Messiah, we pray, may all be uplifted in You, and joined to El Elyon in You (Atoh). Amen.

Blessings & shalom!

Greetings Friends!

This thread of discourse is very timely for me, and Praise Be, presents an opportunity for sharing and therefore developing our insights and understandings further. May the holy Mother Spirit guide and bless all our efforts in this work!

Having read this thread yesterday I contemplated ie. thought about the words you had shared while I got on with the day's activities. But then, on waking this morning and through the blessings of the Dark Bride I found myself in the centre of an opportunity for actually experiencing an expansion in my understandings in a very practical manner. An event unfolded, just after sunrise and involving a neighbour, that had the potential to cause great harm and more likely a very violent death to one of our little dogs.

My actions, those of my partner, and the actual outcome of the events all culminated in a flow of energy that re-informed and indeed transformed our current understandings of the reality of Christ and what is accomplished through seeking to live in constant union with this most holy of mysteries.

Through these events we have come to understand that Christ is the enlightened experience or response we have to all of life's situations or events. Indeed Ruach Ha Messiah is a gift of Grace that is with us, is us, when we are living from within our Sacred Heart. Attachment and aversion, the dictatorship of the vital over our lives, only serve the Demiurge and lead to a living death not just for ourselves but those we interact with. The liberation of all in this material existence comes through a living surrender to the power and presence of Hayyah Yeshua, the Christos within all of us.

For myself I have been given a beautiful lesson by Ma, She who always wants Her children to be safe and happy. Her movement this day spoke "Remember, in every moment, cleave to the Living Saviour." Cleaving, devekut, is a reflection of our faith and from within that holy state of connectedness we are living from within our True Selves. Here is an awesome fact, even the reflection of our faith has the power to destroy all shades and shadows! So in living from within our Christos, the Spiritual Sun, this light that guides all our actions and words and thoughts, we see in its' brilliance that all shadowy forms, including our own egos no longer exist, in an instant it is snuffed out! Outcomes for all are up-lifted!

So then, in a state of repose, we can truly live, the Christ has given us rest within constant evolution! What a mystery, but as +Malachi has said in his post, not a mystery to be thought about as in a detective novel, but rather a mystery to be lived as a trusting child of a loving Mother. We can't hope to know all the answers to all the questions that life has in store for us. But we can hope and desire to know all the answers, how to act, how to be, when we are living from within a state of holy remembrance from the Christos. Seek not to know so much, but rather to be, seeking the true embodiment of the Divine I Am.

As a point to finish on, I was reminded today of the teaching of Yeshua, that no-one comes to the Father but through the Sun. How true, what a personal, inner journey the Master has indicated here. Not anything to do with an externally applied doctrine or dogma. Rather, through living from within, through and as the Christos, the Spiritual Sun, our souls can, with the blessing of Grace, come into repose within Divine Union.

And at times like these it is good for me to remember that this is a process of running and returning. No one can guess what tomorrow brings nor even the next moment, let alone how we shall be, where we will be coming from within in each moment. Go within and live from within, seek only the Spirit of Enlightenment, all other goals are false gods, false lights. Praise the Lord for our deliverance through Him and his gift of the Comforter, Ruach Ha Kodesh!

Blessings to everyone and shalom,

Sister Susan

Shalom Tau Malachi!

While I recall other conversations in this and other forums regarding the principle of Yeshua as Gnostic Revealer in distinction with the outer, exoteric teaching of Yeshua 'dying for the sins of the world', I'm increasingly fascinated by a question raised in this particular thread. When He says to those He's healing, "Your sins are forgiven," I'm hearing this differently, with a bit more detail: "Your sins never existed." While this root and ground of sinlessness innate to all souls appears all over the Gnostic texts from discourses of the Living Yeshua, such statements made by the earthly Yeshua become all the more intriguing, when we ask how such affirmations occur before the resurrection!

What more may be drawn out regarding such affirmations of sinlessness made before the Cross and Resurrection of Yeshua?

Gratefully,

Greetings in the Light of the True Cross !

Indeed, Brother Michael+, this intersects delightfully with +Tau Malachi's post at the Order of St. Mary Magdalene. where he writes, "Here we may say that the body and matter must also be redeemed, and that it is redeemed through the Divine Incarnation and the Risen Messiah – indeed so, for the Light of the Messiah, the Supernal Light, transfigured Yeshua on all levels, including the physical or material level."

Our true nature is a bornless, holy emanation from the mind of Ain Sof. So, where's the sin from whch we must be saved or delivered? As the Revealer or Redeemer, Yeshua came to remind us of this -- so we can see the dream as the dream and not the reality. Instead of being lost in sin are we not just lost in a dream because we don't know it's a dream? Through his life and the resurrection he came to awaken us, deliver us from bondage to karma and the karmic cycle. Through him we were shown the way back to our true nature as part of the body of the Christos, the Human One of Light of which we have never really been separate.

If sin means "missing the mark" then are we not just missing the mark because we don't know -- or rather don't remember? So, he is delivering us from ignorance. How wondrous these discussions of Christ within the context of our Gnostic path -- as Followers of the Way.

Dear Mother, help us to remember...

Shalom!

Greetings and blessings in the Light of the Messiah!

Yeshua is born destined to be the Messiah, the One Anointed with the Supernal Light and Spirit of El Elyon, the Supreme, the potential being present from his very conception, as foretold by Archangel Gabriel, and that potential becomes actual and is realized at the Sacred Jordan in his baptism by Yohanan when Ruach Ha-Kodesh, the Holy Spirit, comes to rest on him and enters him, taking up her abode in Adonai Yeshua.

In Colossians, speaking about the great mystery that Christ is, St. Paul, inspired and illumined by the same Holy Spirit writes, “He is the image of the invisible God (Elohim), the firstborn of all creation; for in him all things in heaven and on earth were created, things visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or powers – all things have been created through him. He himself is before all things, and in him all things hold together. He is the head of the church; he is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that he might come to have first place in everything. For in him all the fullness (pleroma) of God (El) was pleased to dwell, and through him God (Elohim) was pleased to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, by making peace through the blood of his cross” (1:15-20).

In the Gospel of St. Philip an enlightened apostle also writes, “Do not despise the lamb, for by it you see the door.”

Adonai Yeshua is the Savior and Gnostic Revealer, the pleroma of God and Godhead, the pleroma of Holy Light, dwelling in him; Christ is Logos, the Word of God, and Sophia, the Wisdom of God, through which all creation comes into being, is redeemed, fulfilled, and made perfect and complete, the fruition of the original intention of El Elyon, Ratzon Elyon, in creation.

This Soul of the Messiah and Supernal Shekinah of the Messiah comes to dwell in Adonai Yeshua in the baptism, so that living and moving among us the pleroma of Holy Light, God, the True Light, becomes a human being so that we can truly say, Emmanuel, “God is with us.”

As the apostles teach us, God becomes a human being so that the human being might become God, recognizing and realizing him/herself as the emanation of God, the True Light.

Now, the pleroma of Holy Light is the World of the Supernal Sefirot, it is Adam Kadmon and Atzilut, the Realm of Yichud, and that pleroma, fullness, is inseparable from Ain Sof, the Infinite, and from that pleroma all creation comes into being, creation, formation and action flow forth, and into that pleroma all shall eventually return, redeemed and uplifted, awakened.

This Pleroma of Light, the fullness of God and Godhead, is the Soul and Shekinah of the Messiah indwelling Adonai Yeshua, and therefore in Adonai Yeshua is the spiritual power of all Names of God, all Divine Attributes, including Mercy-Hesed and Judgment-Gevurah, the power of the forgiveness of sin and the resurrection; receiving Ruach Ha-Kodesh this power is activated in him, actualized and realized in the baptism, and as he lives and walks on earth all the while the fullness of the Divine Presence and Power (Shekinah) is in him, the power of the forgiveness of sin and the resurrection.

Indeed, healing he can say, “Your sins are forgiven,” or “go and sin no more,” or “your faith has healed you,” for that spiritual power of Elyon, the Most High, is in him, all powers of El Elyon, God Most High, are in him.

Through the crucifixion, resurrection and ascension he reveals the fullness of the Messiah in him, which is the fullness of Ain Sof, the Infinite, and by way of this power of the Supreme in him he binds all sin, all negative karma, to the cross, and through the resurrection he dispels the ignorance that is the cause of sin, breaking the spell and enchantment of forgetfulness.

So St. Paul continues in Colossians, “For in him the fullness of deity dwells bodily, and you have come to fullness in him, who is the head of every ruler and authority. In him you also were circumcised with a spiritual circumcision, by putting off the body of the flesh in the circumcision of Christ; when you were buried with him in baptism, you were also raised with him through faith in the power of God (Elohim), who raised him from the dead. And when you were dead in trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God (El) made you alive together with him, when he forgave all your trespasses, erasing the record that stood against us with its legal demands. He set this aside, nailing it to the cross. He disarmed the rulers (archons) and authorities and made a public example of them, triumphing over them in it” (2:8-15).

In the Gospel of Mary found at Nag Hammadi when St. Peter inquires about the sin of the world, the Savior says, “There is no sin, but you create sin when you mingle as in adultery, which is called sin. That is why the Good came to be with you, to enter the essence of each nature, and to restore it to its root. That is why you become sick and die, for you love what deceives you. Whoever understands should understand.”

Here we may say that the essence of each nature is Sophia, and that the Logos entering into it awakens it, and so the Christos shines from within it and it is restored to its root, the awareness of its innate unity with the Pleroma of Light, God, the True Light.

It is as though in a dream, asleep and dreaming we are deceived by what appears, believing that it has an independent and substantial self-existence separate and apart from us, and believing ourselves to have an independent and substantial self-existence separate and apart from the ground or source from which it all arises. Thus, in this dualistic consciousness, this ignorance, we grasp at what arises “as in adultery,” believing it to be substantial and absolutely real, although, in truth, it is a relative reality, and is empty of any independent and substantial self-existence, subjective, not objective as it seems. From this self-grasping, the play of desire and fear arises, and with it the law of cause and effect, and asleep and dreaming, but unaware that we are dreaming, whether some heavenly dream or hellish nightmare, or something in between, we remain in ignorance and in bondage to the law, and everything that transpires is, indeed, a relative reality to us, real in our experience of it. Whatever arises in this state of unconsciousness, forgetfulness, we are fated to experience and have little, if any, choice about it; but when we recognize and remember that we are asleep and dreaming, and begin to awaken in the dream, all of a sudden the we have the power of choice and the dream can be transformed, and it can even be dissolved into its root, the essence and nature of consciousness from which it has arisen.

Now, here we shall say that the remission of sin taught in the outer teachings of the gospel is grace for those asleep and dreaming, unaware that they are dreaming, believing their sins and death to be ultimately real – believing in the Messiah and in the holy sacrifice for the forgiveness of sin, the ignorance of their “blind belief” is transformed into saving grace, for through their faith they are liberated from their bondage. In this, naturally, as faith matures and gnosis dawns, and the soul of the faithful begin to awaken, something even more wonderful happens – they begin to recognize the true nature of the reality of their experience and they recognize that the Christos is in them, that Christ is their true essence, and so awakening in the dream and transforming the dream, they are empowered to awaken from the dream.

Through this analogy, perhaps, you may gain deeper insight into the Savior and Gnostic Revealer, and into the remission of sin and the revelation of truth (Amet) through the cross and the Risen Christ.

It must be said, however, that this is not exactly an “analogy,” but it is the truth of the reality of our experience, whether in this life, in sleep and dream, or in death and the afterlife – the entire reality of our experience on every level, in every dimension, arises in the very same way, and is dream-like, a radiant display of the mind, consciousness or soul.

The appearance of the Risen Christ reveals this – in him we are shown the true nature of reality and the true nature of ourselves; and all the while in the wonders Yeshua Messiah, or Jesus Christ performs this truth is being revealed for all to look and see, and to recognize and realize – it is as a lucid dreamer in a dream world seeking to awaken other dreamers in the dream, and ultimately seeking to awaken them from the dream.

We are taught that all creation comes into being from the Christos, Christ the Logos and Christ the Sophia – indeed, the entire radiant display, the dream life, dream people and dream world, all manner of dreams, all manner of magical displays of mind, consciousness or soul, all arise from the power of the Christos within and beyond us, the power of God, the True Light, the Divine Mind.

The one who recognizes and realizes this, who truly remembers this Divine I Am, embodies this power – the power of transcendence, the power of transformation.

When Hayyah Yeshua breathes Ruach Ha-Kodesh on his disciples, ordaining and consecrating them as apostles, they receive the power of Mercy and Judgment, the power of the forgiveness of sin and of revelation, Gnostic and Light Transmission; although in the dominion of the demiurge, the ignorance, the spell of forgetfulness, a religion has been made of this, and many asleep and dreaming lay claim to this authority and power, the true succession of holy apostles are those who are lucid, more or less, embodying this self-realization in Christ, for in them is this presence and power of transcendence, this presence and power of the Great Exodus – having faith in the lamb they have gained gnosis of the everlasting door.

Here we may say, as explained above, though under the power of the demiurge, the deep sleep, a religion has formed of blind belief, it is good – for souls that truly believe are redeemed and saved, uplifted through grace and set upon the Path of the Great Resurrection and Ascension; but the fruition of salvation, enlightenment and liberation, is in the gnosis of the Risen Christ, the full awakening, the remembrance of the One-Who-Never-Sleeps, the Divine I Am.

All the while Adonai Yeshua was awake, the Messiah.

There is no contradiction between our original faith and its maturation and fruition – only awakening in the dream and recognizing the dream-like nature, the Ain Nature, we perceive Christ and the Holy Gospel with very different eyes, healed so as to see and hear and know in the Spirit of Truth.

May the promise of Christ be fulfill and all be awakened and uplifted in Christ, as Christ. Amen.

Blessings & shalom!

Greetings in the Blessed Light of the Messiah !

The entire above post literally takes my breath away. Thank you, +Malachi !

Tau Malachi wrote:

What is the Christos? Who was the Christ. In short, everything. This is the Good News for us when we come to understand our part in the Mystical Body of Christ -- for the Christos is not something or someone a-part from who we must truly are. There is so much here to inspire and contemplate and hold forever in our hearts and minds.

As I was reading the post I was struck by a question that often comes to mind for me about the many meanings and the complexity of the word "logos." Malachi writes, Here we may say that the essence of each nature is Sophia, and that the Logos entering into it awakens it, and so the Christos shines from within it and it is restored to its root, the awareness of its innate unity with the Pleroma of Light, God, the True Light.

When we contemplate logos are we thinking about or feeling the Word as law or the pattern-that-connects or that and so much more... ? I'm thinking it's all that and so much more but I'd love to read /hear a discussion of it.

Shalom and many blessings!

there's actually a similar topic posted today to the fb group--or that's where i took the topic posted--on how differently history, whether waking or dreaming, can seem depending on mood or energetic vibration/vibrancy. . .that we have choice as to how to create a connecting pattern, if desired (this last part was my take, then). there seem to be many choices of what to align with or tap into, whether an awake or dreaming choice, whether archonic or Truth, here Christos, Logos and Sophia.

this is the paragraph that really struck me, to quote +Malachi--

"It is as though in a dream, asleep and dreaming we are deceived by what appears, believing that it has an independent and substantial self-existence separate and apart from us, and believing ourselves to have an independent and substantial self-existence separate and apart from the ground or source from which it all arises. "

desiring ever clearer perceptions and understanding

Greetings in the Light of the Messiah !

Very interesting post, Rue -- but can the pattern-that-connects as I refer to it in the post above be archonic? Aren't the archonic patterns the ones that keeps us asleep and dreaming without knowing we're asleep and dreaming. Perhaps only in a non-dualistic consciousness can we understand what is meant by the pattern-that-connects all of the emanations of El Elyon on the Tree of Life.

Blessings in the Light of the True Cross!

blessings brooke!

ah yes, i see your point. my impression is that there are archonic connecting patterns or matrices, not the ultimate pattern-that-connects, not the matrix of Christos. i mean, i could be completely off (wrong), but i sense imitation, illusion close to the truth, but not The Way. layers and layers of illusion available to keep souls entertained and sleeping.

does that fit your experience?

Greetings, True !

I think part of what you're talking about are the veils that separate the universes as we understand them on the Tree of Life. We're all dancing behind the karmic veil that separates Asyiah and Yetzirah and yet other beings behind the veil separating Yetzirah and Beriyah. While these veils would serve to shield us from the strong influx of the Light, the filtered light means more darkness and more free will.

Being farther away from the Light here in Malkut it would seem we humans have the most free will -- but with it the most potential. That's an awesome feeling. For the sake of the Human One all of this (creation) came into being with the potential to bring the Kingdom into being right here in Asyiah. We have the free will to return to our Source simply by remembering our Source. It's really impossible to contemplate this without feeling both the power and humility of it.

We have the choice, the free will to continue to leave in an illusion -- deluded by the false patterns that keep us asleep and in bondage -- or to live free as who we most truly are...

Of course I'm still looking forward to an expansion of this into a discussion of logos. Smile

Praise El Elyon for Giving Us the Patterns That Show Us the Way Home and the Free Will to Choose !

Shalom and many blessings!
Brooke

Shalom my friends!

This thread on Hayyah Yeshua is very nurturing! How delightful!

I’ve been long enjoying an ongoing study of everything I can find on the Logos. Only when I saw its analysis in the Theological Dictionary of the New Testament did the depth of St. John’s equating Christos with the Logos finally begin to click; combined with the teachings and experience of a Light Transmission lineage, the revelation of the Logos anchored by all Apostles since Kallah Messiah is indeed beautiful and good.

A word that cannot directly translate as “the Word” into the English, Logos seems to make more sense by combining many words: The Discourse-the Calculation-the Gathering-the Ratio-the Proportion-the Harmony-the Epiphany-the Order-the Relation-the Reason-the Pattern-the Intelligibility-the Sense of Anything. Put these words together and we begin to point to what Greeks meant by the single word Logos.

At first, Logos was non-theistic and transcendental, a larger principle of rationality itself. Later on, particularly by the time of St. John, the meaning of Logos had changed to become theistic and deified, even venerated. To this day, a non-theistic Logos tradition continues as its suffix in all sciences and fields of study. How? Wherever you see “–ology”—meaning the study or understanding of—you’re actually seeing the word Logos: Bio-Logos, Psycho-Logos, Anthropo-Logos, etc. Understanding of what is studied IS Logos. For mystical people like ourselves, who can’t help but feel in elevated states of the heart, a theistic Logos tradition also continues as the mystery of self and individuality emerging from within life. Nature becoming conscious of nature IS Logos.

To feed the thread of this post of Hayyah Yeshua, Tau Malachi spoke very clearly when he said:

Quote:
Here we may say that the essence of each nature is Sophia, and that the Logos entering into it awakens it, and so the Christos shines from within it and it is restored to its root, the awareness of its innate unity with the Pleroma of Light, God, the True Light.

I recall in Melchizedek teachings that Sophia is Force, Logos is Consciousness, and Christos is Being. To apply that to the Tau Malachi’s quote above,

Quote:
Here we may say that the essence of each nature is Force, and that the Consciousness entering into it awakens it, and so the Being shines from within it and it is restored to its root, the awareness of its innate unity with the Pleroma of Light, God, the True Light.

Sophia is the radiant display of all appearances—all forms—and their emptiness—formlessness—at the same time. Logos then feels like the awareness of these forms in formlessness. Awareness of forms and their formlessness awakens, restores and unifies by way of Holy Being. What this continually means to me in light of this thread on Hayyah Yeshua brings great detail to the discussion above, of how Holy Being can shine through individuals as refined and evolved as Yeshua who are aware of forms and their formlessness and can break all of the rules.

Rules and "The Law came through Moses; grace and truth came through Yeshua Messiah" (John 1:17). I suppose when Logos-awareness in an individual becomes conscious of “who is head of every ruler and authority” (Colossians 2:8-15), then such an individual comes to “rule over all” (Thomas 2): When the appearance of any archon is penetrated to its emptiness, the power of that archon is stripped. There appears to be no penetrating without entering to penetrate. Consider the Acts of John in this context, the Living Yeshua’s transmission to St. John in a cave while Yeshua was dying on the Cross:

Quote:
Nothing, therefore, of the things which they will say of me have I suffered: […]Thou hearest that I suffered, yet did I not suffer; that I suffered not, yet did I suffer; that I was pierced, yet I was not smitten; hanged, and I was not hanged; that blood flowed from me, and it flowed not; and, in a word, what they say of me, that befell me not, but what they say not, that did I suffer. Now what those things are I signify unto thee, for I know that thou wilt understand. Perceive thou therefore in me the slaying of the Logos, the piercing of the Logos, the blood of the Logos, the wound of the Logos, the hanging up of the Logos, the suffering of the Logos, the nailing of the Logos, the death of the Logos. And so speak I, separating off the manhood. Perceive thou therefore in the first place of the Logos; then shalt thou perceive the Lord, and in the third place the man, and what he hath suffered.

Amen! Recently, I felt astonished by the conclusion of this teaching, speaking precisely to the Threefold Body of Melchizedek—

Quote:
Perceive thou therefore in the first place of the Logos; then shalt thou perceive the Lord, and in the third place the man, and what he hath suffered—

Logos: Body of Truth
Lord: Body of Glory
The man, and what he suffered: Body of Emanation.

Tau Malachi, what is this teaching of Logos from the Acts of John saying in regards to the Body of Truth which was (for lack of a better word) revealed in the Ascension of the Hayyah Yeshua?

Amen and amen! May the First remember itself in the last and the last the first!

Greetings Friends!

May I jump in here Brother Michael+, just before +Malachi's follow-up response to your question?

I am hearing Logos and Sophia quite differently now, having read through this thread again. Now I am hearing:-
"I Am the Logos within the Sophia."
I Am the sound vibration that fertilizes and awakens Sophia.
I Am the the Harmony, the Proportion, the Order, The Pattern, the Sense of, the Discourse, the Calculation, the Reason and the Epiphany within Divine Wisdom!
And from Logos within Sophia comes the Divine Child, the Divine I Am, the Christos, the Holy Child of Divine Union."

So for me, I am understanding Sophia as pure form, pure divine energy, innate wisdom; and Logos as force, pure and divine energy again, the same in essence, but different in nature! And the off-spring of this Oneness is the Child of Light, the Christos. For birth to happen the Logos needs be within the Sophia, and yes, then the two become/are One. It is certainly a fascinating contemplation when viewed this way isn't it?

But now I am hearing the opening words of Genesis, and seeing them in a new light;
"In the beginning was Logos (the Word), and Logos (the Word) was God and Logos was with God." But here, Elohim, the feminine form for the Divine is used, which turns all this on it's head even more! Elohim, the creative potential within and behind all things, the Divine matrix, is the Word, is Logos. Hm, lots to contemplate here. Once again, I think the attributing of female and male qualities to concepts (?) or understandings within mystical and esoteric teachings can be a distraction, or at least misleading; and at worst, a mine-field!

So many thanks for sparking this off for our collective considerations Brother!

Shalom,
Susan

Great discussion. I am at work and can't give it my full Mind but I am going to contemplate all this later... I haven't been on this forum for a while but there are some really interesting discussions taking place. I have been going through a tough time lately weighing these spiritual considerations. It was sparked by reading the book Not in His Image by John Lamb Lash. It basically presents some pretty damning evidence as far as the fruits of what Christianity has wrought in the world. Marginalization of indigenous peoples, the murder of Pagans by early zealous Christians and the destruction of Pagan Shrines and places of worship. And currently the rise of the religious fundamental Right in the U.S. Yeshua told us by their fruits we shall know them so why is the fruit of Christianity so devastating and violent? Is this because the ignorance cleaves close to the Truth to try and sabotage it? How does the Logos become the name used by The Church to murder people? Is the Sophia when it is un-Logosed prone to violence?

Greetings and blessings in the Light of the Messiah!

“In the beginning was Logos, and the Logos was with God (Elohim), and the Logos was God (Elohim). He was in the beginning with God (Elohim). All things came into being through him, and without him not one thing came into being. What has come into being in him was life, and life was the light of all people (all beings). The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overcome it” (John 1:1-5).

“He was in the world, and the world came into being through him; yet the world did not know him. He came to what was his own, and his own people did not accept him. But to all who received him, who believed in his Name, he gave the power to become children of God (Elohim), who were not born, not of blood or the will of the flesh or of the will of man, but of God (Elohim). And the Logos become flesh and lived among us, and we have seen his glory, the glory as of a father’s only son, full of grace and truth”
(John 1-10-14).

This prologue that begins the Gospel of St. John is perhaps among the most beautiful passages of scriptures from wisdom traditions around the world, and certainly among those in the Holy Bible that ventures into some of the deepest, and most awesome and wonderful mysteries. It is broken up by the insertion of a passage in the midst of it, which appears to have been added later to clarify a distinction between Yohanan and Yeshua, but the interruption also adds another significant verse from a Gnostic perspective, “The true light, which enlightens everyone, was coming into the world” (John 1:9).

Now it is true, in the original Greek logos is a multilayered word, meaning a principle of mediation and harmony between extremes, the principle or cause of things, reason, both in the sense of rationality and the articulation of the cause of something, sacred discourse, an account or a sermon, ratio, proportion or measurement, and order or pattern.

In Pythagorean and Platonic schools of thought in Hellenistic Alexandria, logos was also associated with Helios, the idea of the Spiritual Sun – Helios was viewed as the heart of the celestial or heavenly pattern, and the physical aspect of the sun was considered the lower manifestation of a higher spiritual and ideal principle, which basically equates with the “Idea of the Solar Logos.”

All of these layers of the meaning of logos would be known to John, or to the apostle of his school writing in his name.

The translation of logos as “word” does not reflect the original Greek meaning, but rather it is a translation of a translation, logos being translated into “verbum” in Latin, which when translated into English for the King James Bible was translated as “word.” However, John opens his gospel with a direct parallel to the opening of the Holy Torah in Genesis, “In the beginning…” which in Hebrew would be Bereshit, and as such directly implies Elohim speaking creation into being, the idea of sound-vibration or word being implicit, the Word of Yahweh spoken by Elohim, all creation being the Utterance of God, the Word of God, the play of the Alef-Bet, all in a Great Mystery.

Logos, the Word, is intimately connected to Ruach Elohim, the Spirit, Wind, Breath of God – Ruach Elohim moving upon the surface of the primordial depths of void and chaos, Elohim breathing, and then, with intention and intelligence, speaking, articulating, modulating breath, generating sound-vibration, the Word, through which all comes into being, the infinite potential becoming measured, defined and actualized by the Word. The Logos, Word, is the self-generating, self-begetting, activating aspect of God and Godhead – the Initiating Principle, as well as the Evolutionary Principle that brings all to fruition, fulfillment or completion; the perfection of all.

Logos, Lord (Adonai) and holy man, or man of God (Elohim) – we will understand this from the Acts of John by the correspondence of Helios, the Spiritual Sun, with Logos, the Word. The Solar Logos, the Spiritual Sun, is the sun within the sun, secret, hidden, transcendent – veiled by the radiant glory, and yet, within and revealed by the radiant glory flowing out of it, which is what we see and know, that Holy Light being the life, the soul, the energy-intelligence, appearing as the holy man, the man of God, in whom the Spiritual Sun is actualized and realized, embodied.

*Here, perhaps, before reading on a pause to contemplate this metaphor of the Spiritual Sun might prove to invoke some insight.

If we wish to contemplate Logos, Lord and holy person in terms of the Threefold Body of Melchizedek, enlightenment, then we must consider the Great Vision of Melchizedek that comes with the dawn of enlightenment, or with the recognition of the Great Natural Perfection.

Now the Great Vision, which comes with the full breakthrough to Supernal Consciousness, assumes the capacity of abiding in Clear Light Union – dissolution into the very essence and nature of being, consciousness, with the presence of awareness, the principle of the Logos activated in us. Abiding in this way, the mind, consciousness or soul rests in its own intrinsic nature, which is the essence and nature of all, the Light of the Infinite (Or Ain Sof), which is the Light of the Messiah, primordial and supernal.

In this Clear Light Union, the Daughter, the Clear Light Nature in us, is merged with the Mother, the Virgin of Light who is the Clear Light Nature in all and beyond all, and this Holy Union is conscious, it is brought about through the power of the Logos awakened in us, the generation of the Presence of Awareness through which recognition and realization becomes possible.

This Clear Light Union is a state of Pure Radiant Awareness, or Non-dual Gnostic Awareness, the very essence of Supernal or Messianic Consciousness. This Clear Light Union, in the Presence of Awareness, the state of Pure Radiant Awareness, is the Body of Truth (Amet) – in it there is the holy awareness of the individual and universal completely interdependent and interconnected, and the holy awareness of the individual and universal as inseparable from the source of all, the Divine Mind, True Light, the Holy One of Being.

Truly, it is a state of Non-dual Gnostic Awareness – Gnostic Being, “knowing being.”

This Clear Light is Mother Sophia, primordial and supernal, the Virgin of Light spoken of by our ancestors, the ancient Gnostics, and in her is the Logos, completely inseparable from her, and Daughter Sophia, the Holy Bride, completely inseparable from her and from the Logos.

Logos is the presence of awareness, but Logos is also the self-generating, self-begetting capacity of Mother Sophia, and Daughter Sophia is the radiant display of energy-intelligence generated, the essence and nature of all that appears, which is empty, which is Clear Light, the Virgin Mother.

Abiding in Clear Light Union the Great Vision of Melchizedek arises – that holy vision of true apostolic succession that is beyond the highest vision of the prophetic succession in the clear mirror. In a natural and spontaneous self-generation sound-vibration occurs, giving rise to five essential lights – the arising of the pure primordial elements of being, consciousness, and these emanate rays, form geometrical patterns, which in turn become light images. This is the generation of the Body of Glory and Body of Emanation from the Body of Truth, and it is the generation of Atzilut, the Pleroma of Light, and Supernal Malkut, all from and within the simple Primordial Light, Clear Light, which Adam Kadmon is.

This is the harmonic resonance within and behind all, the pattern-that-connects, the foundation of all (Yesod Ha-Kol), and in the very same way the Entirety arises, Beriyah, Yetzirah and Asiyah, or the afterlife experience from death, dreams from dreamless sleep, or incarnations of the soul through the karmic continuum.

The distinction between the arising of the Great Vision, the Threefold Body, Pleroma of Light and Supernal Malkut, and the Entirety is the Presence of Awareness versus an arising from unconscious unity (ignorance); hence, an arising in non-dual awareness, “purity,” versus and arising in dualistic consciousness, the ignorance, “impurity.”

All realities of our experience arise in the very same way, but unconscious, in ignorance, the illusion of separation comes into effect, and self-grasping, desire and fear come into play – the Self-willed Triple Power, the demiurge. Thus, in this unenlightened condition souls are unconscious of the arising, unaware that the reality of their experience is a radiant or magical display of the mind, consciousness or soul, unaware of the great power of Sophia and Logos in them – their power as co-creators. Thus, whether as apparent incarnations, or as dreams, or as afterlife experiences, through the play of desire and fear in self-grasping, heavens and hells and all manner of in-betweens arise, the experience of the Entirety, or fields of sentient existence.

All the while, within and behind is the Pleroma of Light, and the inmost essence, the Clear Light – all the while there is this Pattern-That-Connects and its foundation, the Clear Light Essence, the Virgin Mother; but “asleep and dreaming,” in effect, in a manner of speaking, Adam Kadmon believes the dreams arising to be realities separate and apart from him-herself, as though having some independent and substantial self-existence, and this is the bondage of souls, which are the quantum emanation of Adam Kadmon “asleep and dreaming,” in unconscious or karmic arising.

Awakening, becoming lucid, the radiant or magical display of the Divine Mind can be recognized for what it is and brought into cessation, dissolution, and awake in that Clear Light Union, purified of dualism, the illusion of separation, when there is a natural and spontaneous arising in self-generation it transpires in Pure Radiant Awareness, Non-Dual Gnostic Awareness – in a manner of speaking it is a “lucid dream,” a lucid experience of the radiant display, and whether the Pleroma or Entirety it is the same, it is a radiant or magical display of the Divine Mind awakened, the Christos.

In this state of Pure Radiant Awareness, whether there is an arising or there is no arising, it is just the same, and whether timeless-eternity or time-eternity, the Pleroma or Entirety, it is just the same – it is all a radiant or magical display of the Divine Mind, Divine Mochin, the very essence and nature of which is Clear Light, Ain, No-Thingness: the Bornless Nature.

The Body of Truth abides in the Clear Light, is the Clear Light – Pure Radiant Awareness; and it is transcendent; yet, through self-generation, on account of love and compassion, there is the generation of the Body of Glory and Body of Emanation, the Logos giving rise to the Lord, Adonai, and to the appearance of the holy man or holy woman in the world.

In that the Body of Truth is the essence and foundation of the Body of Glory and Body of Emanation, while transcendent, it is immanent, for they are the radiant display of the Body of Truth, the Holy Body that corresponds to the Virgin or Light, or to the Living Father.

This is the Logos that is with God (Elohim) and that is God, in the beginning – and so shall be beyond the end, and is always in the midst.

The Body of Glory is supernal – the appearance of the Holy Tzaddik in the Pleroma of Light, the eternal realm, and yet, raying out in quantum manifestation it is also the appearance of the Holy Tzaddik in the subtle dimensions, and subtle realms, worlds and universes of the Entirety; thus, it is a bornless and eternal emanation, and it is countless self-luminous emanations existing forever, and it is countless subtle emanations existing for various durations, all having their holy root and essence in the Body of Truth. This, indeed, is the Lord, Adonai, the emanation of Yahweh, the Light Continuum.

Then there is the appearance of the holy men and women, the apparent material incarnations of the soul of the Holy Tzaddik in the worlds of sentient existence throughout all time, the manifestations of the Emanation Body that appear and disappear in the Continuum of Light Transmission within the material or physical dimension.

From the perspective of the Body of Truth and the eternal realm – the primordial and supernal continuum, this is all a simultaneous movement, a movement in repose - no past, or future, only an eternal present; but from the perspective of space-time it is a movement throughout the three times, past, present and future, in an ongoing Divine Revelation, an ongoing Enlightenment – countless movements, appearances, in the Continuum of Light Transmission.

Now, if we encounter the incarnation of the Holy Tzaddik, this Light-presence (Christ) and Light-power (Holy Spirit) awakened, therein is this Holy Child of the Virgin of Light, the Logos, and the radiant field of awakened energy-intelligence within and around them is Sophia, the Daughter, the Bride, which is the emanation of the Holy Mother, the Virgin of Light – there is Logos and Sophia, joined in conscious union, Christos, the Anointed.

So, also, there is the Lord, Adonai, and we experience something of this, for example, in moments of Gnostic and Light Transmission with the Holy Tzaddik, the Apostle of Light, when we gaze, and look and see the transfiguration of the apparent holy man or woman, beholding them radiant with supernal glory, and beholding in them all manner of self-radiant images, seeing something of their true supernal form or image, which is no form or no image, and yet is countless forms and images in the Light Continuum – unspeakable, incomprehensible.

This vision of Adonai may also include their appearance in countless incarnations preaching the Holy Gospel and imparting the Gnostic and Light Transmission in Emanation Body as well as Glory Body.

Then, there is the holy man or holy woman – out root tzaddik, who is the channel or vehicle of the Christos, Logos and Sophia, and the Lord, Adonai; the appearance of the realized soul joined to the Soul of the Messiah, anointed with the Supernal Light and Spirit – then one tending the Continuum of Light Transmission among us, living and walking among us, teaching and initiating.

In moments of power, in moments of Light Transmission, we may gain some insight into the Emanation Body, for example, it may seem that their body emits physical light, or that in certain movements of the Holy Spirit they disappear and reappear, or there may be many other signs, or wonders, that hint at the Body of Pure Emanation – we glimpse a knowledge and power that most of the time is veiled and hidden, but that here and there is revealed in moments of transmission and empowerments.

It hints at a body transformed to be a vehicle of greater influxes of Supernal Light, Supernal Consciousness-Force, the embodiment of Supernal Being, Gnostic Being; something “more than human,” yet fully human, having taken up human incarnation, the apparent person and life.

The fullness of this Supernal Realization, of course, was embodied in Yeshua Messiah and the Magdalene, and various gradations of this self-realization have been embodied by Gnostic apostles after them, more or less, all depending upon the development and evolution of their soul-being and the spiritual labor or mission for which they are “sent,” or for which they have come into the world.

Regardless of the gradation of Supernal Realization embodied, however, it is the very same Supernal Light-presence and Light-power that is in them, the presence of the Christos, Logos and Sophia, and the power of the Holy Spirit – all are the glory and emanation of the Lord, Yahweh-Adonai, for this is the truth of all, enlightened or unenlightened, Thus, in any one holy man or woman, in any living tzaddik, we encounter the living presence and power of all holy ones throughout all time, though, indeed, from one tzaddik to another there are various gradations of self-realization in Christ, the Anointed.

The blessing we receive depends upon our view, our faith, and the degree of recognition of the living presence and power in our tzaddik, which forms our spiritual bond and relationship with our tzaddik; and likewise, the actualization of the Light-presence and Light-power in them manifesting as movements Light Transmission depends upon our relationship with them, and our capacity to receive and impart the Light Transmission – the realization of the Holy Tzaddik in us.

Now, truly, we do not worship the holy man or holy woman, but rather we worship the Light-presence and Light-power in them, the Christos, Logos and Sophia, and the Lord and Savior, Adonai; this is the true Holy Tzaddik, of whom it is said, he orshe, is the Foundation of the World, the Salvation of Souls – we worship the Messiah and Shekinah of Messiah, which is the glory and emanation of God, the True Light, and so worship God, the True Light, in the Messiah, Yahweh Elohim, Eheieh, El Elyon.

In a moment of power, in an instant of Light Transmission, in the presence of our holy tzaddik, we may very well exclaim “Adonai,” or we may very well proclaim Emanuel, “God is with us,” and yet, in the very next moment, when the Shekinah of Yahweh has passed, we will speak their name as the holy man or woman who is our root tzaddik, and give praise to and thanks our heart tzaddik, the Perfect Tzaddik, Adonai Yeshua Messiah, and to our God, El Elyon.

This True Light, which enlightens everyone, was coming into the world, has come into the world, and continues to come into the world – the fullness of this Holy Light was embodied in Adonai Yeshua, and to the extent that we open to the Light from above, and integrate ourselves to that Light-presence and Light-power, we also embody this Holy Light, more or less, for whether we recognize it or not, or are conscious of it or not, this Holy Light is our true being, our true essence and nature.

This True Light, the Logos, has come into the world and is coming into the world to awaken Itself in us, illuminating, actualizing and realizing Sophia in us – conceiving, gestating and giving birth to the Christos in us, the Spiritual Sun of God.

Here we may say that Logos is the potential and actual power of Mother Sophia, the Virgin of Light, and Logos is the recognizing and realizing power of Daughter Sophia – conceiving in the Daughter, the Holy Bride, she becomes the Holy Mother, remembering herself as the Virgin of Light, beholding in the Logos the image of the Father.

If we wish to know and understand the Divine Incarnation, first, indeed, we must recognize and receive the Logos – which initiates, and then the Lord, Adonai, which gives sanctuary, and then the holy person, through whom we receive initiation and sanctuary, true salvation.

We must look and see this in Yeshua Messiah, and we must look and see this in ourselves – if we bring this forth from within ourselves, this Holy Light of the Sun of God, then in this very life we will experience self-realization in Christ, and we will walk in true beauty and holiness, holy in Christ.

We are, of course, speaking of a great and supreme mystery that mental consciousness cannot comprehend, and that cannot be explained with mental concepts and words – an awesome and glorious mystery to which, at best, all of our hints and allusions are nothing more than shadows; yet, we can experience this mystery, and we can recognize and realize this Truth and Light, and we can embody something of this Truth and Light, the Divine I Am (Eheieh).

Here, no doubt, it is time for a pause – contemplation in repose.

May we be blessed to know and understand the Word of God, and to realize the Wisdom of God, and with the empowerment of Supernal Habad, may we fulfill our destiny as Christ-bearers, bringing salvation to all beings. Amen.

Blessings & shalom!

Greetings +Malachi,

Your post has been very consolidating for my understandings of the terminology specific to our tradition. The meaning of Logos in particular is now vast, compared to the fairly restricted understanding I held previously.

All this has launched me into a re-reading of the Gospel of John, and Genesis also! Speaking of which, at this stage I would appreciate hearing again your understandings of the Hebrew word Elohim in relation to its' usage in the opening verses of Genesis. The image of Elohim speaking creation into existence, through the Word, Logos, is intriguing; equally so the contemplation of the "Holy Mother _ _ _ beholding in the Logos the image of the Father." This all hints at Genesis, and in fact Bereshit, not really being "The Beginning" at all - there is always an implied something other behind and beyond any "Beginning" we can venture to construct! Hence, as you remind us, all this is truly beyond words, and understandings are to be found, through Grace, in other than the mental realms.

However, I am finding the comparison between the two ie., John's statements re the "beginning" and the Old Testament's descriptions re Bereshit so interesting. (If this is not the appropriate Forum thread no worries; I'll transfer my question to the Bible and Gnostic Scriptures thread.)

Many thanks and sorry i could not respond earlier but I'm at present without a computer, so am using a friend's to write this.

Shalom,

Susan

Greetings and blessings in the Light of the Messiah!

This seems to me a perfect place to discuss Bereshit and Elohim in conjunction with Logos and Sophia – the Gospel of St. John plays upon it in the revelation of the Logos within the prologue, and there is much that may be shared.

Let us hear and see what the Holy Spirit inspires today…

After a significant introduction, the Zohar begins with a discussion of Be-Reshit, “the point of the beginning,” and it identifies Hokmah-Abba as “Reshit,” which is the generating force or potential that emanates Binah-Imma, within which and through which all creation is conceived, gestated and birthed.

The foundation or ground of this conception is Pure Radiant Awareness, the nature of which is Ain, no-thinginess, Ain Sof, infinite and Ain Sof Or, infinite light, and the conception is the arising of Thought in the Divine Mind, first non-verbal Thought, and then verbal Thought, the Thought becoming comprehensible. Non-verbal Thought corresponds with the conception, and verbal Thought to gestation, and the Utterance of Elohim corresponds with giving birth, through speaking that Holy Thought Elohim gives birth, what is spoken coming into being, set into motion.

This entire process, the conception, the arising of Thought non-verbal, the formation of Thought verbal, within the Divine Mind, and the articulation, Utterance, of that Holy Thought, all of this is the active power of Logos within Mother Sophia, and what appears is Daughter Sophia, the radiant or magical display of creation emanating within and from the Divine Mind (Mochin).

Within and behind the arising of Thought in the Divine Mind is the hidden or secret principle of Ratzon Elyon, the will or desire of the Supreme, corresponding with Keter-Crown, but save through the arising of Thought, non-verbal and verbal, and the Speaking of the Thought, Ratzon Elyon remains hidden and unknown, the Great Unmanifest, the Great Mystery, the Great Silence – Infinite Divine Potential.

Thus, Logos is the activating, actualizing, initiating power of the Divine Mind, revealing the Divine Will or Divine Desire, making the invisible visible, the unknowable knowable – the principle of Divine Revelation and Creative Evolution.

This is what transpires in the beginning, in Bereshit, and this is what continues to transpire – all creation continually arising within the Mind, Mochin, of the Most High (Elyon) and being spoken into being, and to the extent that all beings, all spirits and souls, are emanations of the Divine Mind, all are co-creators with the Creator (Yahweh Elohim), and this is transpiring with, in and through all beings, all of the time (Yahweh Elohim Tzavaot).

Mother Sophia, Logos, Daughter Sophia, these are qualities and principles of the Divine Mind, or the essential powers of the Divine Mind, and in that we are emanations of the Divine Mind (Mochin), these are powers in us, and on the inmost level we are these Powers of the Divine Mind through which all creation, formation and action comes into being.

Yah-Abba is the Infinite Potential of Light and Life undifferentiated, in Sacred Unity, and Elohim-Imma is the Principle of Form (Archetypal) through which individuation, differentiation, occurs, the One becoming Many, yet remaining One, the Sacred Unity. We may understand this through our contemplation of Pure Radiant Awareness, Mind, Thought and Speech – both non-verbal and verbal Thought are inseparable from Mind, and they are inseparable from the foundation or nature of Mind, Pure Radiant Awareness, and whether undifferentiated or differentiated, non-verbal or verbal, this innate unity, inseparability, remains true, for Thought is Mind and Mind is Thought, the radiant display of Pure Awareness, Pure Will or Desire.

Even when Spoken, apparently externalized, the Thought remains in the Divine Mind, and so the truth of this Sacred Unity remains – although many Thoughts arise and those Thoughts become Spoken, it is all the emanation of the one Mind, the one foundation, Pure Radiant Awareness.

This is the play of Eheieh, I Am or I Shall Be, and Yah and Elohim (or Yahweh Elohim), and when Spoken there is Yahweh Elohim Tzavaot – Yahweh indicating the Sacred Unity of the Many, and the Countless Many (an infinite multitude of thoughts and utterances of the Divine Mind).

These luminous Thoughts and Utterances are all sentient beings, all living spirits and souls, and all realms, worlds and universes of sentient existence, all realities, whether in the Pleroma or Entirety, Yichud or Perud – and so all comes into being through the Logos, the Word of God (Elohim).

Now in all creation, it is within the Human One that the fullness of God (Yahweh Elohim) comes to dwell, or within which and through which the Divine Mind is actualized and realized, awakened and embodied, and awakened and embodied in the Human One, that holy one is the “Son of the Human One,” a true human being, the image and likeness of Yahweh Elohim, and that holy one is the Messiah or Christ, rightly called the “Son of God” – and here we may use the term “Son” not in the context of gender and our ignorance surrounding it, not according to our egos, but as a term indicating the activating, actualizing, initiating principle, the Gnostic Revealer, the One bearing the Divine Presence and Power to awaken others, all creation.

In this regard we may contemplate the final saying in the Gospel of St. Thomas and discern the greater mystery that is spoken concerning all enlightened souls becoming “male.”

In terms of the Child of the Human One, Seth (Shin-Tau), this, in fact, is the union of Logos and Sophia, which Christos is, for it is their union that is the Awakening, the Anointing, and that awakening constitutes the True Human Being, divine and supernal, whether apparently a man or a woman.

Tau, the Holy Cross, indicates this union of the Word and Wisdom, and Shin indicates the Fiery Intelligence, the Holy Light, the Pleroma of Light realized and embodied – and awakening we all become Seth, we all become Yeshua, the very same Light-presence (Christ) and Light-power (Holy Spirit) taking up our person and life, living and walking in the world as us.

This, of course, is a present truth of our being as we are in Yahweh Elohim, the emanation of Eheieh, but in a state of ignorance, unrecognized and unrealized, “unawakened” – for it is the truth of all creation, all creatures, all living spirits and souls, being the emanation of Eheieh as Yahweh Elohim Tzavaot, although the Name of God applies only when souls become enlightened, awakened, actualized and realized in the Messiah.

Perhaps now, with this in mind, we can contemplate the mysteries of Elohim and creation a bit further, looking into this Holy Name.

In Bereshit, in Genesis, there are ten Holy Utterances of Elohim, and through these Holy Utterances all creation comes into being – these Holy Utterances correspond with the Sefirot, the Divine Attributes, and we may say that these Utterances are first the formation of verbal Thought in the Mind, which then becomes Speech, and then Action, the Movement of Creative Evolution, this process representing the coming into being of the Sefirot at the level of Beriyah, Yetzirah and Asiyah, non-verbal Thought and the Mind itself corresponding to Atzilut, and the Pure Radiant Awareness and Will or Desire to Adam Kadmon.

Not only are there ten Utterances, but as it turns out the Name of Elohim occurs thirty-two times in Bereshit, Genesis, corresponding with the ten Holy Sefirot and twenty-two Holy Netivot, so that we know and understand that creation, formation and making flow out of emanation, Atzilut, which is inseparable from Adam Kadmon.

Here, we may say, there is, indeed, no beginning or end to Atzilut and Adam Kadmon, or the Pleroma of Light, but there is a beginning to any cycle of arising of Beriyah, Yetzirah and Asiyah, or the great cosmic cycle of the Entirety, and therefore there is also an end to the great cosmic cycle when the Entirety passes into destruction, dissolution, returning to its root and essence.

It is just the same as the arising of thought, passing away of thought, and the arising of another thought in the mind, or the arising of a dream, and the passing away of the dream, and the arising of another dream, or the arising of an incarnation, and the passing away of the incarnation, and the arising of another incarnation – on every level of existence in creation the same holds true, but as the foundation or ground of all, the Supernal and Primordial abide, infinite and eternal.

In other words, in the absolute sense there is no beginning, but in the relative sense there is a beginning, but to the extent that being and becoming are inseparable from one another, and to the extent that the supernal and primordial are the foundation or ground of all, the true essence and nature of all, so the beginning is no beginning, and there is no end in sight to this ever-becoming of bornless being.

On every level, the radiant or magical display of the Divine Mind is inseparable from the Divine Mind and its Nature – Ain, Ain Sof and Or Ain Sof.

This realization is embodied in Yeshua Messiah, and so the True Deity is spiritually, psychically and physically in him – God, the True Light, God, the Divine Mind, being incarnate in him, and we may say, in him all creation embodies God, the True Light, all who have been awakened, all who are awakened, and all who will be awakened throughout the three times being awakened in him, and he in them; and so it is every time a soul awakens, or is anointed with the Supernal Light, in that very instant, all are awakened, all are anointed – the fullness of living presence and power (Shekinah) of God, the True Light, and of all of the holy and enlightened ones, the “immortals,” is with and in that holy person, and is manifest as that holy person.

Such a holy and enlightened one is the Holy Child of the Virgin of Light, the pure emanation of the Holy Mother, embodying the Shekinah of the Messiah; and here we may say, the Light of the First Day, which is the Light of the Messiah, the “Holy Light that is stored up for the righteous (the tzaddikim),” is actualized and realized in them – the power of the Risen Messiah, Hayyah Yeshua.

This is the manifest destiny of all human beings, and, indeed, all sentient beings – the holy remembrance of the Divine I Am (Eheieh) in heaven and on earth (Yahweh Elohim Tzavaot).

Elohim is Divine Being transcendent, and Elohim is Divine Being immanent, embodied – and we may say that the Power of Elohim is the matrix of the holy and enlightened ones, and the great cosmic powers in this process of awakening, and Yahweh Elohim Tzavaot is the great matrix of creation awakened and destined to awaken; Adonai being the appearance of any awakened one, any anointed one, the Messiah.

Here we may say, to the extend that there is only one Supernal Light-presence and Light-power, although raying out in infinite emanations, that one Light-presence and Light-power is the “only begotten Sun of God,” and so also we may say that there is no other Lord and Savior – there is only one Way, Truth and Life.

This Sun of God is embodied in Yeshua Messiah, and so he is Lord (Adonai) and Savior (Messiah), and he is the Way, Truth and Life Divine, and because this Pleroma of Light and God, the True Light, become physical or material in him, and is inseparable from him, having faith in him and cleaving to him, we are joined to that Holy and Supernal Light, and we receive the Holy and Supernal Spirit, the Supernal Influx, Supernal Grace. Hallelu Yah! Praise the Lord!

This is the True and Holy Light that enlightens, awakens, everyone!

Here, we may also speak another great mystery for the sake of contemplation. According to the revealed Word of God, the Son of God is enthroned at the “right hand of the Father (Abba),” and as we know, this is Elohim, the Holy Mother, and the Judgment, and in him is the fullness of the Holy Mother, bright and dark, and the power of the Judgment, which is the power of Forgiveness, Mercy, to release and to retain sin, or negative karma – all depending on the proximity of souls to the Holy and Supernal Light, whether they are willing to enter into the Holy Light and reintegrate with the Light Continuum, or, instead love the darkness and cleave to it, fleeing from the Holy Light.

He is the Power of Elohim actualized and realized, embodied, and in union with the Father-Abba, at repose in the Father-Abba, he is the Power of Yahweh Elohim actualized and realized, embodied, and as such he is the Power of Eheieh, or El Elyon, revealed – in him the fullness of Yahweh Elohim is made manifest.

Thus, it is rightly said that before the Blessed Name of Yeshua Messiah every head shall bow and knee shall bend, in heaven and on earth, and that all spiritual beings-forces are subject to the Blessed Name, and that all are saved, enlightened and liberated, through that Name of Names.

Here we may say that the full Power of El and Shaddai is in the Blessed Name, and so it is with every Holy Name that we may speak – the Divine Power of them all is in the Name of Yeshua, “Yahweh delivers.”

This is the Truth that sets us free – the truth of Pure Emanation.

It is truly astonishing to consider that this Divine Presence and Power has lived and walked among us, and yet more to consider that it continues to live and walk among us – but as the Gospel of St. Thomas teaches us, becoming astonished through the dawn of this faith and gnosis, in the power of the Blessed Name we rule over all, the Entirety, recognizing and realizing the Human One of Light in us, the Pure Emanation of God, the True Light, and the Pleroma of Light, or the Light Continuum, Bornless Being (Yahweh, Yeshua).

It seems that here, in this Place (Makom), we have reason to pause and look to see what contemplation might arises next, the Holy Spirit calling us to be still and to entertain a pregnant silence.

May we abide at-one with the Holy Light of the Messiah and bring the peace and joy of Hayyah Yeshua to all beings. Amen, and Amen.

Blessings & shalom!

Greetings +Malachi!

At last I have my internet connection operating again, hence I can reply to your post above. Your explanations have certainly expanded my understandings of Bereshit and Logos. Thank you.

Your mentioning of verse 114 in the Gnostic Gospel of Thomas, re the female needing to become male, has sparked an interest in delving deeper into the question of Yeshua encouraging us to expand beyond what we are, in this case physically, into that which appears to be our opposite, seemingly encouraging us to seek the impossible! And yet, in a way this is exactly the process of creation itself, is it not? Energy-consciousness becoming form, matter; and the dynamic tension between opposites resulting in change, rebirth, newness.

The contemplation of Elohim, as spoken of in Genesis, is a vast consideration and I would ask your patience as I still am looking into this, particularly in the light of your understandings shared in the last post. Is it correct that I remember you speaking of Elohim as having a male singular form with a female plural? Plus, among it's meanings there is "the many breasted one?"

Praise the Lord, for when we read such words as "Yeshua said, I myself shall lead her, so that she too may become a living spirit resembling you males," we can re-hear them as if for the first time, knowing we can take our repose in Hayyah Yeshua, fully desiring life everlasting. Now there is understanding of the moment, the future and in fact the past, all as one, being full of infinite possibilities, and they are all good! The Pleroma of Light is indeed all around us, and within us and the once again, dear Teacher, has been embodied and transmitted in your words.

May the Light of the True Cross join all into Oneness!

Shalom,

Susan

Greetings and blessings in the Light of the Messiah!

Yes, Elohim is a masculine noun joined to a feminine plural, and as such connotes the Holy One of Being as Male and Female, Father (Abba) and Mother (Imma); the implication of Elohim is One manifest as Many, or a multiplicity in singularity, Many in Sacred Unity.

Elohim corresponds to the array of Divine Attributes (Sefirot), Names of God and Partzufim, and as the Partzufim is male and female – all of the Divine Personifications. As an example, in the Pistis Sophia we hear of the First Mystery, which is the outermost mystery of the Twenty-Four Mysteries – and on one level we may understand these “mysteries” as Partzufim in the Supernal Abode, the Pleroma of Light, male and female couples. This reflects the nature and power of Elohim as the Pleroma (Fullness) of Light, or the raying our of Or Ain Sof, the Light of the Infinite.

As we know and understand in our experience of the Light Continuum (Yahweh), the Mystical Body of the Risen Messiah is composed of the Sefirot of Atzilut, and this Pleroma of Light – all Divine Attributes and Divine Names, are embodied in him, the fullness of the Supernal Shekinah, Imma Elohim, Imma Shekinah.

Elohim is Father and is Mother, but we speak of Elohim as Mother, understanding her as inseparable from the Father, which is Yah and Yahweh; from the Mother what is known of the Father emanates, which is El, and all the flows from El (Hesed-Mercy).

Elohim is transcendent as the Father, but is immanent as the Mother – Elohim is everything we experience, know and understand of God and Godhead, the Divine.

Naturally, the Messiah is the emanation of Elohim, the Holy Child of the Father-Mother, the Sun of God (El).

Elohim does not mean “the Breasted One,” but rather that is one of the meanings of Shaddai, which is usually translated in the Holy Scriptures as “the Almighty”; Shaddai, the Almighty, is the Breasted One, which is the Name of God that corresponds to Yesod, the Sefirah called the Holy Tzaddik, the Righteous One. Much like the Name of Elohim, Shaddai also connotes male and female, the Almighty and the Breasted One, and in that Yesod means “Foundation,” and the Foundation of All (Kol) is the Messiah – the Holy Tzaddik, we understand the Male and Female in the Messiah, the Christos; hence, Logos and Sophia.

Yesod receives the shefa or influxes of all of the upper Sefirot and communicates them to Malkut, the Kingdom or Sovereignty, Nukva Shekinah, the Holy Bride, she raying out from Yesod, the Foundation of All; in the same way the Divine Incarnation, Yeshua Messiah, receives all of the influxes of the Supernal Universe, the Pleroma of Light, and transmits them in the world and the Entirety.

Here we may say that Elohim is the Presence and Power of all as the emanation of the Divine, God, the True Light, and Shaddai is the actualization and delivery of that Light-presence and Light-power. We witness this in the Messiah in the play of wonderworking and forgiveness of sin, the power of the Almighty, the power of the Breasted One, the Son of the Virgin of Light having dominion over all creation as the Living Word spoken, incarnate.

Here we may also say that Shaddai is in Elohim, and that Shaddai, El Shaddai and Shaddai El Hai are emanations of Elohim in Judgment, Mercy and Compassion – wrathful, peaceful and blissful emanation.

As we know and understand, the fullness of this threefold emanation of Elohim is in Adonai Messiah – the full power of Mercy, Judgment and Compassion, and so Yeshua Messiah is, indeed, Adonai, Lord and Savior, acting through all manner of skillful means.

Here we may recall the ministry of Hayyah Yeshua, the Risen Messiah, earthly, heavenly, and in the underworld, Hades and hell – in each we may assume skillful means and diverse appearances in emanation, all according to the type and kind, or to the karmic vision, of those to whom he manifests, preaching the Holy Gospel and extending the Light of the Messiah, the active power of Elohim, Shaddai El Hai, El Shaddai and Shaddai, respectively.

Yes, indeed, gazing upon Hayyah Yeshua, the Risen Messiah, we behold the fruition of all (Kol), the destiny of all – the fruition of creative evolution; and through the revelation of Hayyah Yeshua to us we know our Supernal Zelem (Image) so as to envision it, hope for it, and engage in a conscious evolution into that True Image and Likeness of Yahweh Elohim, that True Being, Eheieh, in repose within El Elyon, the perfection of Holy Union. If this were not revealed to us we would remain in ignorance of our True Being, the Messiah, and we would not know to envision it, hope for it, or consciously evolve towards it. Thus, the Divine Incarnation is the activation of our full potential of conscious evolution, “righteousness,” and through Yeshua Messiah we are, indeed, evolving beyond all present boundaries and limitations, evolving to become more than human, evolving to be and become Divine and Supernal, the Human One of Light, the Messiah, the Enlightened One of God.

In humanity, Nature is becoming conscious of herself, and in the Risen Christ Nature has become fully conscious of herself – the redemption of the world and all creation.

In this we may understand what the masters of Christian tradition teach when they say, “God (Elohim) became human so that the human being might become God (El).”

Now, here, in the world, we appear to be male and female, man and woman, but as St. Paul teaches us, “In that renewal [the Risen Messiah] there is no longer Greek or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave and free, but Christ is all and in all!” (Colossians 3:11) Banishing the ignorance of the past we may add that in Christ, there is no longer male and female, man and woman, and no longer straight or gay – there are no such distinctions, but all are Christ and Christ is in all, all are the Human One of Light and the Human One of Light is in all.

In Christ we are to come out of these hiding places of the ego, we are to let go of grasping at these distinctions and differences and finite limitations, and all of the petty conflicts they perpetuate, binding us to the ignorance, the darkness, the chaos of matter – while according to the wisdom of the world such things “matter,” in the Wisdom of God (El, Elohim) they are nothing, they are shadows, they are foolishness!

This is exactly what Hayyah Yeshua teaches us in the last saying of the Gospel of St. Thomas – that in Christ, in the Human One of Light, we are all the same, we are all equal, and there is no longer a distinction between man and woman in Christ. Apparently unenlightened men of the outer and unspiritual church could not comprehend this, and so the same old ignorance entered to dominate exoteric Christianity – but it is clearly spoken in the teachings of Adonai Yeshua, and clearly illustrated by his most beloved disciple, his inmost disciple, the Magdalene.

He teaches, initiates and empowers women just the same as men – in the Messiah there is no difference.

Now we must know and understand the meaning of female and male in the teachings of the Kabbalah, letting go our own egoistic or unenlightened associations with these terms – female means the Desire to Receive and male means the Desire to Give. At the outset, whether a woman or a man, as disciples of the Master we are all “female” – the Desire to Receive, and at the outset we are all bound up in the Desire to Receive for Self Alone, the Desire to Receive being cut off from the Desire to Give. This is a state of the delusion of lack, the illusion of separation, the ignorance, but it is only natural, for until we receive we cannot give, and likewise, without the Desire to Receive the Desire to Give cannot be fulfilled.

There is nothing wrong with the Desire to Receive, and in truth it is not less than the Desire to Give, but divorced from the Desire to Give, the Desire to Receive becomes the source and cause of all evil – it manifests as egotism, selfishness, and as selfish desires and fears, greed and lust, anger and hatred, and it binds the soul to the gilgulim, endless rounds of sorrow and suffering. It is not that we must rid ourselves of the Desire to Receive – no, indeed, by that power we receive Christ and our salvation, our enlightenment and liberation; but rather, we must join the Desire to Receive to the Desire to Give, and when joined, there is one Holy Desire, the love of Christ in us.

When we have been received and have received (Mekubal), then we are empowered to give, and we must give, for it is in giving that our reception and our receiving is fulfilled, complete – an so it may be said that we all “become male,” though becoming male we all remain female, receiving and giving as a channel or vehicle of this Light-presence (Christ) and Light-power (Holy Spirit). In other words, we become a “solitary,” and authentic individual, the female and male joined in us, androgynous, like Adam Ha-Rishon, the First Human Being, and like the holy angels of God, the True Light.

In this respect we might consider what Yeshua said regarding marriage, that in heaven no one is given in marriage, but instead we abide like the angels of God, which is to say as male and female in ourselves – the image and likeness of Elohim.

Although much drivel has been written about the mystery of hieros gamos, the sacred marriage, and few know and understand the mystery of the bridal chamber, it is this – the union of the male and female in us, the Human One of Light in us, which transcends male and female entirely, transcends all dualism completely!

Here we may say, while, indeed, our labors for social justice are labors for a greater good, and according to the Scriptures we are to seek justice, and we will do so as necessary in this world, in truth, social justice is not our primary concern as Gnostic Christians, for we know and understand that a full and true justice is not likely in this world; but more so, we know and understand that the true aim and purpose of our incarnation in this world is transcendence of the world, transcendence of the need for physical incarnation, and that all true Divine Attributes, such as justice, are not of this world, but they are of the supernal kingdom of heaven, the Pleroma of Light. Thus, while always we labor for a greater good in the world, we do not seek from this world what it cannot give us, what, in fact, it does not have to give – we deal with the world with regards to what is in the world, and we look to God for what is in God, setting our minds and hearts on those things that are above.

The present human condition, and this world, is a transitional state of being, and so we may say the same of everything in the Entirety – it is all transitional, impermanent, a constant continuum of change or transformation. If we do not recognize and accept this, it is the cause of immeasurable sorrow and suffering, but on the other hand, when recognized and accepted, it becomes the cause of incredible peace and joy – enlightenment and liberation, true salvation.

How does the Risen Messiah descend into hell realms and liberate spirits and souls bound up in incarnations within them? How, for example is a hungry ghost or demon, an unclean or evil spirit, redeemed? It is redeemed through the recognition and realization of its true essence and nature, the Ain Nature – or through recognition of the transitional nature of its appearance, and the recognition of its transcendent essence, so that letting go of name and form, and personal history, it may draw out the Holy Light of God (El) that is within it. In so doing, it is no longer what it was, but becomes transformed, redeemed, uplifted in the Human One of Light and as the Human One of Light, Christ or Messiah.

The same is true for us!

In my essence and nature, as I am in God, the True Light, am I this apparent man, the flesh, or am I of this world, this darkness and chaos of matter? No, indeed, I am not! I am an emanation of Ain, Ain Sof, Ain Sof Or, I am an emanation of the Pleroma of Light – I am in Christ, the Human One of Light, and Christ is in me, and in my true essence and nature I am Christ, the Human One of Light.

Recognizing this Truth and Light, we live according to it, and that life lived in Christ and as Christ is realization, embodiment.

Now it must be said, this spiritual self-worth in Christ is coupled with spiritual humility in Christ – in our essence and nature we know that we are Christ, that we are in Christ and Christ is in us, and we live according to this knowledge; yet, we also know that Christ is beyond us, transcendent of us, and that we abide in a play of ever-becoming, a continual evolution into the fullness of Christ. Indeed, in this awareness we would not run around claiming to be the Christ or the Messiah – we have no great claim at all, but rather, it is the Way, it is the way of life for us, taking the Goal as the Path, living in Christ and living as Christ being our noble ideal.

In so doing, Christ becomes actualized and realized in us, something of that Light-presence and Light-power is embodied in us.

It is not a noun to be possessed and claimed, but it is a VERB – and action, as is this entire continuum of the Being of the Becoming, this continuum of constant transformation.

So, now, with what shall I identify myself? Which is better, to be this mortal name and form, and personal history, or to be fully evolved and enlightened being, Divine and Supernal, the Christ - immortal?

If I live in Christ I will die in Christ, and dying in Christ I will not die, I will pass into life eternal – the experience of Bornless Being, which is Christ.

Indeed, if a live in the awareness of my being in the Pleroma of Light, then at the time of my death I may shift my consciousness into the Pleroma of Light (Elohim) and reintegrate my soul with the Light Continuum – if I have lived in the holy awareness of the Light Continuum, then that awareness will dawn in the afterlife.

This principle is very simple, and we get illustrations of it in experiences of works of the inner circle, such as Zohar discourse or sacred ceremony of the inner continuum. Setting our minds and hearts on things that are above with full kavvanah and devekut, immersing ourselves in deep metaphysical mysteries, frequently luminous and heavenly dreams arise, some that are very lucid, for we have filled our minds with the mysteries of creation and Creator, and we have brought in, held and anchored Light-power, and therefore when we go to sleep and dream, it is towards the Pleroma of Light that our mind or soul-stream goes naturally and spontaneously.

The same is true when we die if we have lived with our minds and hearts set upon those things that are above, those things that are in the Human One of Light and Pleroma of Light, in Christ and the kingdom of heaven.

Oh yes, indeed, in Christ we are expanding, growing, developing, evolving, ever beyond what we are – and there is no end in sight to this creative evolution into the One-Without-End (Ain Sof); in Christ we are expanding into the Infinite!

When we first came to have faith in Yeshua Messiah (Jesus Christ) upon hearing the outer teachings of the gospel we thought we had received the “good news,” and in truth we did; but as our faith matures and gnosis dawns the good news just gets better and better! Hallelu Yah! Praise the Lord!

Here seems to be a good place to pause, abide, and wait upon the Holy Spirit.

May we recognize and realize the Pleroma of Light within and all around us, and may we join the Supernal Malkut and this Good Earth in this Place (Makom). Amen.

Blessings & shalom!

Greetings +Malachi,

what you write here takes my breath away and greatly surpasses the understanding of Yeshua Messiah I had so far:

Quote:

In Christ we are to come out of these hiding places of the ego, we are to let go of grasping at these distinctions and differences and finite limitations, and all of the petty conflicts they perpetuate, binding us to the ignorance, the darkness, the chaos of matter – while according to the wisdom of the world such things “matter,” in the Wisdom of God (El, Elohim) they are nothing, they are shadows, they are foolishness!

...

Now I understand that our salvation is most truely in Christ!

Shabbat Shalom,
Martina

Indeed Martina, contemplating Christ as a verb opens up a whole new dimension of understanding!

If we consider Christ as this entire continuum of the Being of the Becoming, this continuum of constant transformationwe see that the first Chapter of Genesis is a telling of what transpires in the beginning, in Bereshit, and this is what continues to transpire – all creation continually arising within the Mind, Mochin, of the Most High (Elyon) and being spoken into being, and to the extent that all beings, all spirits and souls, are emanations of the Divine Mind, all are co-creators with the Creator (Yahweh Elohim), and this is transpiring with, in and through all beings, all of the time (Yahweh Elohim Tzavaot).

The entire book of Genesis actually being a telling of this unfolding or 'action' that was and is and shall be!

May all know the blessings of the becoming of Christ!

Shabbat Shalom!
