The Feast of the Ascension & Pentecost

The Feast of the Ascension and Pentecost takes place on summer solstice – the longest day of the year, and shortest night; summer solstice represents the fullness of the Divine Light and the peak of the Divine Life – hence the mystery of the ascension and outpouring of the Supernal Chrism, the Holy Fire of Pentecost.

This is the celebration of Divine Rapture – our spiritual victory in Christ, the affirmation of our faith and proclamation of our gnosis; it is the celebration of our ultimate spiritual hope, the Attainment of the Rainbow Body, but also the Great Transformation, the manifestation of the New Jerusalem on Planet Earth. These ideas form the most common themes in our rites of summer solstice – the key mysteries we explore with the fullness of the sun representing the Divine Pleroma of the Sun of God.

Hayyah Yeshua, the Living Yeshua, calls his disciples to the Mount of Olives and imparts to them the inmost secret teachings, as reflected in the Gnostic Gospel entitled Pistis Sophia, and he reveals the Path of the Great Ascension, opening the way, passing into the radiant glory of the Divine Light and passing into Clear Light Union, repose in the Heavenly Father. Then, the disciples depart and gather in the Upper Room, the Holy Mother and Magdalene being in their midst – a great fiery-light, like a spiritual nuclear fire, appears over the head of the Magdalene and divides into “tongues of fire,” the image of Yod, and these go over the heads of the disciples, pouring into them and sanctifying them as Apostles of Light; and so it is today with every Gnostic Apostle – they are ordained by El Elyon, the True Light, receiving the fullness of the Supernal Chrism, the breakthrough of Supernal or Messianic Consciousness, and bear the power of the Supernal Shekinah, the true power of the Holy Spirit.

When the holy apostles are ordained, the women among the apostles remained in the upper room, holding the sacred space and abiding as a Matrix of the Divine Light, engaged in a ministry within the inner dimensions, and the men apostles were driven out of the upper room by the Holy Spirit for the extension of the Supernal Light to the world – to all realms, worlds and universes of the Entirety; and in this way this labor and movement continues on earth to this very day.

As much as the development of consciousness beyond the body, the reception of this Supernal Chrism is an influx of Divine Consciousness into the body – we celebrate this great mystery and the Divine Gnosis it manifests, the Perfect Thunder Intelligence, Enlightened Being.

According to the Book of Acts when the apostles preached on the Day of Pentecost, St. Peter taught those who inquired, saying, “Repent and be baptized in the name of Yeshua Messiah, and you will receive the Holy Spirit.” Three thousand persons were baptized that very day and received the chrism of the Holy Spirit – the Spirit of Divine Illumination.

Quite naturally, in the celebration of the Feast of Pentecost it is our intention to remember and experience something of the outpouring of Supernal Chrism – the reception of the Holy Spirit.

This becomes Sophian Gnostic’s source of inspiration for rites of summer solstice, and as I’ve shared many times before, it is a completely creative affair, understanding the art of the creation of sacred ceremony and sacred environments in which they are performed – the sky is the limit as to what may be done celebrating and exploring these mysteries; though the foundation of it is, as with all of the solar high rites of the outer continuum, our experience of the Gnostic and Light Transmission the passes through the lineage.

As much as entering into these holy rites to unfold our own spiritual experience and realization, we take them up for the sake of all people, all beings and the entire world – seeking to manifest and transmit the blessings of the Divine Presence and Power, the Light-presence (Christ) and Light-power (Holy Spirit).

As always in our outer high rites, there will be a celebration of a Wedding Feast – Holy Eucharist, in this sacred ritual.

Contemplating this sacred rite we can see how the Feast of the Apostolic Succession naturally flows forth from it on August 2nd; hence the Feast of the Harvest of Souls, followed by the Feast of the Apocalypse (or Divine Revelation) on the autumn equinox and the Feast of St. Lazarus (or the Blessed Dead) on November 1st.

May all receive the Supernal Chrism who desire to receive it and may all who are willing be taken up in the Divine Rapture – all in Hayyah Yeshua; amen.

Blessings & shalom!

Shalom, +Malachi !

As Summer Solstice draws near I was wondering if the fellowship will be performing any of the ceremonies outside this year, especially since your beautiful Light Wheel space is now prepared.

Also, I thought it would be interesting if others who plan circle celebrations or just individual recognitions might share here how they hope to recognize the Ascension and Pentecost. While the creative spirit will move us all in different ways, I'm still interested in hearing others' ideas for celebration.

Many Blessings !
Brooke

Salutations in the Light of the Messiah!

Hallelu El! Praise God for the salvation through Grace in the outpouring of the Supernal Spirit and Light through Adonai Yeshua Messiah! Hallelu Yah! Amen.

Yes, indeed sister, we intend to use the Light Wheel for the celebration of the Feast of the Ascension and Pentecost this year; of course, the Holy Feast comes this year on the very week that we are moving into the new Fellowship study house, so in some way the warding and the consecration of the new study house must be included in the ceremony.

With our upcoming move our continuum is in flux and transition, and honoring the flow of what’s happening within our circle and the theme of the Holy Feast, it will likely be a rite done in the power of the moment, completely impromptu this year. There seems to be enough details to plan and enough work to be done with the moving of the study house – there is no need to add the preplanning of a high rite, it is just not the flow of what’s happening right now.

That said, we can certainly see movements in the continuum – various influences, which will be drawn out, and we can see how they interact with the themes in this Holy Feast. It is truly something of a great wonder that we were able to find a buyer and sell the house that has served as our center in these times of economic judgment in a recession, and equally it is something of a wonder that we have been able to find a vintage home in good condition in downtown Grass Valley that we can afford – it reflects the fullness of the Divine Life and flow of Divine Grace in the Pentecost, and the wonderworking power of the Holy Spirit that flows for the glorification of God, the True Light. Thus, the new study house is a talisman of the salvation of Yahweh (Yeshua) and of the Mother Spirit answering the prayers of the faithful and elect – so too the land we have to build sacred sites and the coming into being of the Light Wheel on the Feast of the Bride; this will be the first high rite since the opening of the Light Wheel, our first sacred site in the land.

As you know, this year is dedicated to the Woman of Light and to the Gospel of the Holy Bride. Thus, the focus of our celebration will be the Holy Bride as the Prism of the Light Transmission, the transmitter of the Fiery Intelligence of Pentecost; and the way of transmission of the Shekinah of Messiah, the Holy Bride, is perfectly reflected in all of this, for more than an intellectual discourse, the Bride teaches an initiates through the experiential level of life in the flow of what’s happening – when she teaches, she does so by bringing us into the experience, her teachings flowing forth as our very lives and the situations, circumstances and events in them. This will be an aspect of the way of the Holy Bride we focus upon – knowing through life and soul experience.

We invoked a change in the tone and spiritual work of our circle, and in this year of the Woman of Light and Holy Bride she has swiftly brought it about on a most practical and experiential level – the level of the root star, in a very grounded and material way. Such is always the dance of the Shekinah of Messiah, the Holy Mother and Bride.

Now, in the midst of this rite we wish to teach our spiritual companions in circle how to enter the Light Wheel by all directions – invoking and uniting all Divine Powers in a harmonious flow, so the rite will be founded upon one of the ways we can walk all of the directions, invoking a harmonious flow of the full spectrum of spiritual energies for the people and the land in the midst of this time of judgment, severity, hard times.

We intend to have fellowship with a breakfast together and then go out and walk all directions of the Light Wheel, entertaining the dance of the Holy Bride and the fullness of the Divine Life, invoking the outpouring of Divine Grace – the Pentecost.

What will our prayers and invocations be, how will we walk on that Holy Day? Until it transpires no one can say – the inspiration of the Holy Spirit will guide the companions as they invoke influxes of Supernal Grace and the blessings of Yahweh Yeshua.

Thus, we will walk the Light Wheel in the morning – then, likely, we will go to the study house (about 15 minutes away) and perform sacred ceremony, warding and consecrating it as a circle, and then tending to some of the practical aspects of getting settle in so that it swiftly becomes full functional as our new study house and center. Again, this must be in the power of the moment, done through the inspiration of the Mother Spirit – all in the dance of the Holy Bride.

The movement into the new house during that week will be perfect – for it is a cause of great joy, not only for Elder Michael and I who have the blessing and honor of living there, but for all of our friends; everyone is looking forward to a more accessible study house and the shift in energy it brings – we will use this natural joy as spiritual empowerment to pray for the people.

But, then, this exactly is the way of the Holy Bride – a weave of the sacred and mundane that is seamless; so perhaps we will recognize deeper mysteries of her dance and become more intimately acquainted with her, the Shekinah of Messiah.

Then, the day after we celebrate the Holy Feast we will welcome the Shabbat Queen for the very first time in our new house, celebrating a casual Holy Shabbat – celebrating with eyes of holy awe and wonder, seeing the power of Emmanuel, God with us.

Perhaps it is a time this year to celebrate the blessings of God in the flow of what’s happening and to look and see the miracles God is working in our lives on the most practical level, as well as in the spiritual life; and likewise, perhaps it is time in our larger spiritual community to invoke a change in tone and a shift in our spiritual labor, with a greater integration of the sacred and mundane in the Way of Perfection and Way of Transformation at the heart of our lineage.

There is something of all of this in what I was attempting to share about the Way and being followers of the Way in a recent writing – only the profound mysteries of the Way are so very simple and ordinary that they are difficult to speak, difficult to recognize; *just being* in the Spirit of the Messiah itself is the Way, walking in beauty and holiness with Ha-Shem in the company of the Holy Shekinah – in so doing, here on earth, we walk in the kingdom of heaven, the Light Realm.

This exactly is a central teaching of the Pentecost and the Ascension – the Opening of the Way.

In any case, this reflects what we will be doing – only just at the moment no one can say exactly how it will transpire, for we are not quite there yet!

Adonai, may we be blessed and empowered to walk in the Holy Remembrance of the Divine I Am and to embody Your Holy Light for the people in good times and bad times; amen.

Blessings & shalom!
