The Father Restores Deficiency with Fullness

#1 Postby Elder Gideon » Sun Aug 21, 2011 3:49 pm

This is the word of the Gospel of the finding of the Pleroma for those who wait for the salvation which comes from above. When their hope, for which they are waiting, is waiting - they whose likeness is the light in which there is no shadow, then at that time the Pleroma is about to come. The deficiency of matter, however, is not because of the limitlessness of the Father who comes at the time of the deficiency. And yet no one is able to say that the incorruptible One will come in this manner. But the depth of the Father is increasing, and the thought of error is not with him. It is a matter of falling down and a matter of being readily set upright at the finding of that one who has come to him who will turn back.

For this turning back is called "repentance". For this reason, incorruption has breathed. It followed him who has sinned in order that he may find rest. For forgiveness is that which remains for the light in the deficiency, the word of the pleroma. For the physician hurries to the place in which there is sickness, because that is the desire which he has. The sick man is in a deficient condition, but he does not hide himself because the physician possesses that which he lacks. In this manner the deficiency is filled by the Pleroma, which has no deficiency, which has given itself out in order to fill the one who is deficient, so that grace may take him, then, from the area which is deficient and has no grace. Because of this a diminishing occurred in the place which there is no grace, the area where the one who is small, who is deficient, is taken hold of.

This is what it means to find the light of truth that has shone toward the person: it is unchangeable.

There are a few insights from this ongoing study to help essentialize one's access to its message in this portion. We'll recall Yeshua's metaphor in canonical gospels (which this Gnostic gospel assumes) of the sick and the healthy being analogous with the sinners and the righteous:

And as he sat at dinner in Levi’s house, many tax-collectors and sinners were also sitting with Jesus and his disciples—for there were many who followed him. When the scribes of the Pharisees saw that he was eating with sinners and tax-collectors, they said to his disciples, ‘Why does he eat with tax-collectors and sinners?’ When Jesus heard this, he said to them, ‘Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick; I have come to call not the righteous but sinners.’ (Mark 2:15-17)

Upon closer examination at the context, however, Yeshua's understating who's actually righteous and sinner. Throughout canonical gospels, it is the religious authority whom Yeshua castigates most severely; they in fact are the implied 'sick', while the outcast 'righteous' receiving Yeshua, humbly aware of their need for help, are on the path of righteousness.

This twist of interpretation of who is 'sick' and 'righteous' is further supported by the fact that deficiency is a state unaware of Grace, meaning one is dominated by karma, by the law. The 'healthy' to whom Yeshua is referring, of course, are the religious authorities, who have no need of a physician, justified (so they think) by their righteous deeds under the Law. However, as St. Paul will radically posit in his epistle to the Romans, "For ‘no human being will be justified in his sight’ by deeds prescribed by the law, for through the law comes the knowledge of sin." (3:20) All the law does, according to Paul, is expose one's deficiency. What is this deficiency? To be defined by one's name, form, and personal history is to be to deficient, for this limited identity is the source of all suffering.

The Gospel of Truth is referring always to this experience of karma as deficiency. The resolution to this deficiency, what heals this divide within oneself, is too obvious to be true: our Divine nature. When recognized in any gradation of faith, its nature is to fill wherever the awareness of this Divine nature is missing or absent. The absence is the ignorance, the deficiency. By Grace, what within me might misunderstand the light, even dread the light, is filled.

The marvel this Gospel is explaining in many different ways, with many different analogies (here healing and medicinal) is how our Divine nature from deep within comes forth to heal what in surface, karmic consciousness is deficient. Gifted healers have shared with me that energetically, surprisingly, the power that heals and makes whole comes from within-behind-beyond the illness. In other words, healing comes from within. The healing power isn't separate from illness, because the illness itself is a manifest distortion, misunderstanding what wants to heal.

I've learned over and over in my journey how the mystery of repentance, of turning back, heals everything misunderstood. This begins by honestly, transparently, vulnerably confessing and admitting to the Holy One my part in a drama. Taking responsibility for this, for my part of my energy in a matter of suffering demonstrates that from within me comes the fullness filling the deficiency. This process is complete when I make the same confession to another 'outside' of me, ideally, a Righteous One in whom I find sanctuary, safety, and spiritual support. Coming back to God is coming home to myself as I am in God.

From saying 70 from the Gospel of Thomas, "That which I have will save me, if I draw it forth from within me."

Recognizing what lives within, may we allow this forth and be made whole.

Grace and peace to you from Yeshua Messiah, our Adonai!

There is, as it were, a dual truth in our being, in our incarnation. As we are in ourselves we are sinners, deficient, imperfect, and yet, as we are in Christ and God, or the Pleroma of Light, we are righteous, lacking nothing, perfect. If we inquire what is revealed in Christ, it is this, that who and what we are in Christ and God, or the Light Continuum, is perfect and complete – a fullness; when who are what we are in Christ and God is recognized and realized, and joined with who we are in ourselves, so in effect, we are healed and made whole, and there is no longer the delusion of lack, or deficiency.

The law, by nature, is a concealed revelation of the Pleroma of Light, and while hinting at the possibility of perfection, it does not grant knowledge of the Perfect Light, but rather, it brings the knowledge of imperfection and error, sin. It is a concealed revelation, because in the generations of that revelation no one was able to receive direct revelation of the spiritual and supernal, but only a revelation concealed, veiled, in terms of commandments concerning the material life and world, and material rewards, and a material prosperity and kingdom. Consider this. When the Messiah appeared, the One Anointed with the Supernal Light and Spirit of El Elyon, God Most High, teaching of a spiritual and heavenly kingdom, a “kingdom not of this world,” many among the Jews could not receive the Spirit of the Messiah and his teaching, for their expectation of the Messiah was not spiritual, but was material, a warrior-king after the fashion of King David, who would vanquish the Romans and material enemies of Israel through God’s power, and restore material prosperity and a grand material kingdom to Israel. You see, they had a material consciousness, not a spiritual consciousness, and therefore they could only conceive of the Messiah, the Anointed, in material, worldly terms, not spiritual, heavenly terms, and therefore in deficiency they sought what was, and is, deficient, materiality, matter, the chaos and darkness.

The Gospel is a very different revelation, and more so the Risen Christ is a very different revelation – it is not concealed, or material, but is direct, and is spiritual and supernal; the Christ-Spirit emanates from God and the Pleroma, and in effect, God becomes embodied to communicate Godself directly, speaking the Living Word and Wisdom among us, and imparting the Light Transmission, or Christ-Spirit, to us. In this, there is knowledge of the Perfect Light, and who and what we are in Christ and God, or the Light Continuum, is revealed to us so that we can recognize and realize that Truth and Light, the indwelling Christ.

What is deficient cannot accomplish its own salvation, what is imperfect cannot perfect itself; that is impossible. Rather, only that which is perfect and complete brings perfection and completion; hence, the Risen Christ, the Spiritual Sun of God.

As Adonai Yeshua teaches, “No one has ascended into heaven except the one who descended from heaven, the Son of the Human One” (John 3:13).

When we receive our anointing with the Supernal Light and Spirit, so we are reborn from above, and we are one who descends from heaven, or the Pleroma of Light, and so are able to ascend into heaven, or the Pleroma of Light; if and when we embody this holy tzaddik, righteous one, who comes from heaven, so the kingdom of heaven, or Pleroma of Light, is manifest within and around us on earth. We do not accomplish this mystery of salvation, or enlightenment and liberation, ourselves, however, but it is accomplished through Divine Grace, the Christ-Spirit; hence, God giving Godself to us, and God placing our heavenly and supernal soul (neshamah) into us – uniting who we are in God with who we are in ourselves. Yahweh heals! Yahweh delivers! Hallelu Yah!

What is the “sickness” Christ heals? It is the delusion of lack, the illusion of separation, which gives rise to self-grasping, self-will, and desire and fear, the cause of all evil, sorrow and suffering, sin and death. In a word, the “sickness” is ignorance, or a lack of awareness, of who and what we are, and the source of our being, God, the True Light.

If Christ did not appear on earth, and did not reveal the Perfect Light to us, and did not reveal the Pleroma of Light to us, who among us would know and believe that this truth and light are within us, or that this divinity or enlightenment is our very essence and nature – our True Being? As it is, the Risen Christ has appeared, and continues to appear, but many do not believe and know this to be true, and are not able to recognize and realize their True Being, the Christ-Spirit, the Divine I Am.

The force of the ignorance, the illusion of separation, is very powerful in the material world and universe; so much so that only through the power of God, Divine Grace, are spirits and souls able to overcome it – hence, the Great Saviors and Revealers that come to live and walk among us, manifesting this Mercy and Compassion of God, or Enlightenment.

If anyone will repent, or sincerely seek to return to God, in mercy and compassion the Spirit of God will anoint them, and the spirits of tzaddikim and maggidim will come to them and lead them in return to God; those who will humble themselves, recognizing, confessing, their ignorance, the Spirit of God will uplift, exalt and illuminate, giving Knowledge of the Mysteries and God.

If anyone wishes to return to God it is very simple. Invite and welcome Christ and the Holy Spirit into your person and life, and offer yourself as a willing servant, or vessel, of the Spirit of the Lord; learn to go within and live within, open to the Holy Light from above, and receiving influxes of the Holy Light, reintegrate all aspects of your person and life with the Holy Light – embody that Light of Christ and let it shine from within you. This is the Path of Return to God, or Self-realization in Christ.

The truth is, this Holy Light and Fire is already within you, you just need to engage in an active and dynamic surrender to Christ and the Holy Spirit, choosing to enact what is good and true – faith and love, and in this way allow the Christ-Spirit to bring forth this Light of Christ from within you. That you are lacking anything is, in fact, a delusion, that you are in any way separate from Christ and God is an illusion; in faith and love, recognize this truth, and pray for the full realization of your soul as you are in Christ and God – pray for a direct revelation of the Risen Christ, gnosis of the Risen Christ.

Do not pray from deficiency, or the delusion of lack, or from a place of doubt however, but pray from the fullness of faith, having hope in the ongoing revelation of Christ and the Gospel, and having the love of the Lord in your heart. If you pray in this way, know that tzaddikim, “saints,” on earth and in heaven are praying with you, and for you, and that maggidim, angels, on earth and in heaven are praying with you, and for you, and your prayers will be heard by God and answered by God; all you need to do is abide in faith and pray, waiting upon the Holy Spirit.

Returning to God is very simple. Do not allow the contemplation of the Mysteries and celebration the Mysteries to confuse you concerning the simplicity of the Way; although the Mysteries of Creation and God are endless depths, and we delight in the contemplation of them, the Path of Return to God is simple: Cleave to Christ and God, the True Light, and love one another as Christ and God have loved you.

Adonai Yeshua taught us, saying, “Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect” (Matthew 5:48). We may understand this perfection as love; for through love our perfection in Christ is realized and embodied.

“For God so loved the world…” (John 3:16). If this is true, then we must love the world!

This is a contemplation that arose today.

O Adonai, please liberate us from materialism, gross and subtle, and establish a spiritual and supernal consciousness in us so that we might know and love You in full, and return to You, Atoh. Amen.

Yeshua Shalom!

Shalom Tau,

In reflecting on this, I was wondering if this is what is considered a healed Zelem that would even include the potential of a healed physical body already a reality in who we are in Christ and God.

May we be all be well in the Perfect Light.
Adonai Shalom,

Greetings and blessings in the Holy Light of the Messiah!

Our supernal zelem or image is self-radiant and glorious, whole and complete, and corresponds with a meta-dimensional state of being that we are incapable of conceiving in our mental consciousness. On a certain level we can say that it is an image composed of many images, like a jeweled being with innumerable facets corresponding with its manifestation in various realms, worlds and universes (dimensions). This supernal zelem or image is revealed to us by the Father in the Son, and specifically in the Risen Christ, for what is revealed in the resurrection and ascension is the truth and reality of our being as we are in God, or the Light Continuum; its like a revelation of our “Self ahead of our self,” in a manner of speaking, which empowers a conscious evolution to be and become that Christ-Self.

In the ignorance or unenlightened condition, as we are in ourselves, in self-judgment, in self-negativity, we tend to generate strange self-images, ones that can be very limited, distorted and negative. These are not founded upon knowledge of our supernal zelem or image, or who and what we are in God, but they are generated from self-identification with name and form, and personal history, and from self-grasping, desire and fear – the karmic continuum of the soul. These are the zelemot, images, in need of healing, or transformation, and the way of healing, or transformation, is through the recognition and realization of our supernal zelem, and who and what we are in Christ and God.

The way of this healing is, in truth, a radical transformation of consciousness; hence, a mystical death and rebirth. It is the dissolution of our old self-identity with name and form, and personal history, and in place of it the generation of a new self-identity with fully evolved and enlightened being, Divine and Supernal Being – the Christ. This corresponds with the practice of Union with Partzuf, in which we envision merging with, and becoming, a Holy Partzuf or Tzaddik, allowing our mind to become the Mind of the Partzuf, our heart the Sacred Heart of the Partzuf and our body the Light Body of the Partzuf. There is healing in this, or wholeness of being, and perfection of being, for in the Holy Partzuf, or Holy Tzaddik, we have an image, a revelation, of who and what we are in Christ and God, or in the Light Continuum.

It is true, if we can acquire knowledge, awareness, of our supernal zelem, and who and what we are in God, the True Light, there is healing in this; our zelem, self-image, in this life may be healed and transformed, and with this spiritual healing a healing on mental-emotional and physical levels may also come to pass. The gospels teach us this possibility, given all of the radical healings Adonai Yeshua performed; and we may say that within and behind every healing he performed something of the soul of the person as they are in the kingdom of heaven was revealed and was joined to them. Praise God!

Here we may say that the sin of a sinner comes from an impaired or false self-image, one bound up in the delusion of lack, the illusion of separation; in a word, ignorance. We sin, or error, on account of ignorance, and therefore our salvation is not simply a forgiveness of sin, but it is the dispelling of the ignorance, or cessation of the ignorance, that gives rise to sin and death. The truth is, sin and death, and the illusion of separation, have never substantially self-existed, they are a product of the soul, consciousness or mind in the unenlightened condition, the ignorance, in the state of self-grasping, desire and fear; when true spiritual knowledge, understanding and wisdom dawns, when enlightenment dawns, the entire play of sin and death, and who we are in ourselves, is recognized as illusory, or dream-like, and so it is brought to an end, cessation. This is the ultimate healing, the liberation of the soul. Praise God!

In this, perhaps, we may understand that the ultimate healing is not in the body, but is beyond the body; hence, our full reintegration with the Light Continuum, or full return to God.

In closing we can say this: Just as the recognition of Self (Ani) as No Self (Ain) is the realization of the Self, so the recognition of Image as No Image is the realization of our Supernal Image (Zelem).

May God bless all living spirits and souls this day, and may many awaken to know that they live and move and have their being in God, the True Light. Amen.

Yahweh Shalom!
