The future is as uncertain
As knowing where the next leaf will fall
But You know the path of each leaf
Before it falls from the tree
You who created all the stars and planets
Also created my spirit so very long ago
You hold me in Your hand
I freely acknowledge I am Your child
I am like the leaf who knows not where it will land
But it's trajectory is guided by Your hand
I know not the best path
But You are wiser than the wisest wise man
I release myself into Your care
To hold and direct
