Secret Mysteries of Invoking the Sacred Circle

Secret Mysteries of Invoking the Sacred Circle

After sharing some secret mysteries on invocations of the sacred circle I find myself led to share something of them here for those who may benefit, those experienced in the invocation of sacred circle, and who invoke and pray often.

As is known the six directions of the sacred circle correspond with the Six - the Holy Sefirot from Hesed to Yesod - and their intersection, the co-arising together as the sacred circle corresponds with Malkut, Holy Shekinah, so that ‘Sacred Circle’ is understood to be a cognomen of the Holy Shekinah; various invocations of the sacred circle representing the diverse arrays, actions and manifestations of the Shekinah. As is also known, there is a ‘seventh direction’ of the sacred circle, inward, within, corresponding with inner space, and it is within oneself that the Indweller, Shekinah, is revealed, that God unveils and discloses Godself. In the invocation of the sacred circle, Holy Shekinah is invoked, and she is within one who invokes her in faith and love, cleaving to the Holy One, and she surrounds them on all sides - all directions; hence, the the Holy Shekinah as the Sacred Circle.

The entire Tree of Life - all Holy Sefirot, Divine Attributes - is encompassed in the Great Name of God - Yahweh. The tip of the Yod is Keter-Crown, the body of the Yod is Hokmah-Wisdom, the first He is Binah-Understanding, the Vau is the Six, and the final He is Malkut. Thus the invocation of the sacred circle corresponds with Vau and He final of the Great Name, invoking an emanation, issuance, influx, from the Supernal One represented by Yod-He, or the Holy Name of Yah. In this you may understand that the power to invoke the sacred circle in any of its manifestations is in the Great Name, Yahweh, and so the Blessed Name of Yeshua, Yoshua.

According to the Zohar - ‘Book of Radiance’ - Malkut, Holy Shekinah, can assume the ‘appearance,’ action and manifestation of any and all of the Names of God, including the Essential Name - Eheieh - and the Great Name; hence the foundations of the various invocations of the sacred circle. As we invoke and as we pray, cleaving to the Infinite One through the Holy Names, Malkut, Holy Shekinah, Sacred Circle, receives influxes from the Sefirot that are above, within, and conveys them to the world, entering into action, manifestation, as those supernal and spiritual powers of God Most High.

As we know, there are invocations of the sacred circle through Names of God alone - purely through Names of God, and these intend direct, unmeasured, supernal influx, and may be a movement, intention, of passing away in the Oneness of God; but then with the invocation of Names of God there may also be the invocation of corresponding archangels, at times the invocation of orders of angels may be included, as well as the invocation of righteous spirits, and celestial intelligences and elemental spirits, forces. This, of course, corresponds with an invocation of measured influxes, blessings, and a drawing down of supernal and spiritual power from the Universe of Atzilut-Emanation through the Universes of Beriyah-Creation, Yetzirah-Formation and Asiyah-Making. Whatever invocation of the sacred circle is performed all of the supernal and spiritual powers, forces, invoked are manifestations of the Holy Shekinah - One Divine Presence and Power, though indeed in appearance and manifestation they may be an array of many individual supernal and spiritual beings-forces, or powers.

Now there are the six direction of the sacred circle - outer space - and there is the seventh direction - inner space - and as such, while the Indweller, Holy Shekinah, is understood as the seventh direction and her glory and power surrounding as the six directions, so too the seventh direction corresponds with ones neshamah - supernal or heavenly soul - and the six directions correspond with ones nefesh - vital soul, and person and life (understanding that the sacred circle is also the ‘circle of life’). Therefore, while invocations of the sacred circle are invocations of the Holy Shekinah, Holy Spirit, they are also invocation of the fullness of our soul, our being, into life, incarnation; hence, the unification of who and what we are in the Supernal One with who and what we are in ourselves, embodying our Divine Self, Divine I Am - the Human Being of Light.

Our soul, our inner being, in reality is inseparable from the Holy Shekinah and Eternal One, and the power to invoke the Names of God and Holy Shekinah is in our neshamah.

There is, of course, another secret mystery in the invocation of the sacred circle, one that is known among the Sacred Tau, or those reaching the secret grade of passing away, which is called ‘no passing away.’ If, indeed, there is an invocation of sacred circle from this station of supernal realization - from ‘Clear Light Union’ - the six directions will be the manifestation of the Emanation Body, the seventh will be the manifestation of the Glory Body concealed within, and these will be unified in the Truth Body; hence, the invocation of Sacred Circle arising from the Great Vision of Melchizedek, the emanation of the Threefold Body of the Risen and Ascended Messiah.

There is more that may be shared of the secret wisdom of invocations of the sacred circle in the Holy Kabbalah, but this seems enough for the moment, and here I am inclined to pause in a contemplation of silent love, abiding in the Holy Shekinah, waiting upon the Holy Spirit.

May the Sacred Circle be manifest in this world today and may many living spirits and souls be ingathered and uplifted in the Great Ascension! Amen.

Hello!
Resonates. Thank you. I typically call in the four cardinal points with R ,M, O and G. Then vertical axis metatron- sandalphon. But i certainly will deploy this. One point, Is the Vau, six arrangement connected still by these two Metatron- sandalphon. When the supernal engages with the Vau circle, are additional contacts drawn in augmenting those already there. ( or a new supernal symbolism in the visualised images?) . Or should I just feel and be open unconditionally to the way the supernal manifests.
Thank you!

Can we rightly find a connection between the “...the invocation the fullness of our soul, our being, into life, incarnation...” and “pouring” as it often appears in scripture?

“and hope does not disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us. (Romans 5:5)

“For I will pour water on the thirsty land,
    and streams on the dry ground;
I will pour my spirit upon your descendants,
and my blessing on your offspring. (Isaiah 44:3)

Pouring seems to allude to a pouring (of or through perhaps) the neshamah into and through the six directions (nefesh) creating an abundance, fullness, and unification of life and life display. These teachings of sacred circle seem both very practical and mysterious regarding how a fullness of life display manifests and where it comes from. I understand that the promise of blessed offspring was both one of the highest (greatest) and most down-to-earth blessings. This begs the question of how this fullness might manifest in any given soul, person, and life-display.

I’ve heard it said that Second Coming corresponds to an outpouring of Spirit upon many, the great collective. It is written,

‘In the last days it will be, God declares,
that I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh,
and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
and your young men shall see visions,
and your old men shall dream dreams.

“...pour out my Spirit upon all flesh,” becomes especially powerful and interesting based on the relationship of the six directions and seventh as parts of soul.

Might “pouring” and the teachings of manifestations of sacred circle have a correspondence? It seems related to note how the physical act of pouring is a means to form a circular shape and to mark or anoint a center.

Blessings to you in the Holy Light of the Messiah!

In the traditional invocation of sacred circle, which corresponds with the natural arising of the elements in Malkut and this world, as well as in the revealed invocation of sacred circle, which is an invocation of the sacred circle based upon the Sefirot in Atzilut, Metatron and Sandalfon hold the position of height and depth; hence there are among the six archangels of the sacred circle in fundamental invocations of the circle. However, as has been said, there are many different invocations of sacred circle, some that focus upon very specific divine actions, blessings or works of spiritual assistance.

As an example, seeking to shatter klippot, or vanquish a dark force, or seeking diminish the influence of evil and the power of spiritual forces of the Other Side, an exorcist or a spiritual warrior (Templar) might invoke the sacred circle as a manifestation of the force of Gevurah or Din in the following way:

Above El Elyon would be intoned, then El three times, inwardly holding the intention of the emanation of judgement from mercy, and the ultimate intention of mercy. Then to the east they would intone Elohim, to the south Elohim Givor, to the west Dayyan (Judge) and to the north Ish Mi-Yelchamah (Man of War). Having invoked these Names of God they would then invoke Kamael and four great Seraphim, and then speak their prayer setting the force of severity, judgment, into motion. There would be no other archangel invoked, but the angel of the Holy Shekinah would be manifest as Kamael - the ‘Burner of God.’

As we know we can engage in the invocation of Names of God and influxes of the Sefirot, Divine Attributes, in pure devotion or worship without the intention of invoking the sacred circle. The invocation of the sacred circle is a spiritual practice of the ‘Practical Kabbalah’ or Magical Kabbalah; hence it is a movement of divine theurgy or wonderworking laboring for shifts in the continuum and matrix of spiritual forces, and therefore shifts, transformations, in the flow of what’s happening, the reality of our experience. At times we may invoke the sacred circle for communion in the Holy One and Shekinah with angels and various spirits, but most often the invocation of the sacred circle is for the sake of a theurgic action - a ‘magical intention’ to facilitate invisible spiritual assistance or intervention. Thus our invocation, speaking, gesturing and movement, and envisioning, are proactive, not passive, as we take action as a co-creator with the Supernal One in the Shekinah of Messiah.

Understand, though, that among initiates of the Gnostic Path our intention is to invoke and pray in oneness, not twoness, and the very nature of true divine theurgy is a conscious unification with the Divine Presence, Holy Shekinah, Holy Spirit, and therefore an embodiment and manifestation of the Holy Shekinah, Holy Spirit. If and when there is, indeed, a merging with the Holy Shekinah, Holy Spirit - a passing away in the Holy Shekinah in the movement of invocation - the Holy Shekinah, Holy Spirit, takes up that divine action and accomplishes it with, in and through us, manifesting as us in the movement. In this way there is authority and power ‘from on high’ and the will of the Most High (Elyon) is done.

Here we may recall that all spiritual beings-forces are subject to the Blessed Name, and in the revealed Names of God we are given divine authority and power over spiritual beings-forces, and it is given that we may direct them as the Holy Shekinah, Holy Spirit, inspires and leads us to do, all as ordained by God Most High, all as the One God wills; this includes actions of pacifying, enriching, subjugating and vanquishing archonic and demonic forces. In the Christian Kabbalah, though, the intention in theurgic actions, wonderworking, is not ‘power over’ spiritual forces, but in fact it is an ‘energetic’ preaching of the Gospel - the Living Word - and something of the play of Light Transmission, drawing spiritual forces into the service of the kingdom of heaven and the will of God, and so facilitating their redemption and reintegration - their enlightenment and liberation. In the Magical Kabbalah as we invoke the sacred circle, and invoke angels, spirits, and such, we do not do so just to acquire something of their knowledge and power, but to also share our knowledge and power - light - with them and to bless them in the Holy Shekinah as they bless us. Our intention is in ‘communion’ and is reciprocal - giving and receiving. This is the way of the Shekinah of Messiah and those in Messiah - the Anointing.

In this regard perhaps you will understand that invoking the sacred circle, as much as the sending out of blessings, currents of influxes and supernal radiance, so too there is the intention of an ingathering of living spirits and souls - and all manner of spiritual forces - into the Shekinah of Messiah, this Light-presence and Light-power of the Eternal One (Yahweh).

Now concerning outpourings of the Holy Spirit, or Supernal Grace - the invocation of direct ‘Supernal Influx’ - this is the intention of invocations of the sacred circle through the Names of God alone without the invocation of archangels, angels, and so on. Thus, for example, the revealed invocation of the sacred circle when held to the Names of God given for it, not extended to the invocation of the six archangels of the sacred circle, is an invocation for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit.

In general we may understand ‘pouring’ in the Holy Scriptures as a direct reference to influxes of Divine Attributes, such as the passage speaking of the ‘pouring of God’s love into our hearts’ - this indicates influx, shefa, of the Divine Attribute of Love.

Having this in mind we may share another common intention in the invocation of the sacred circle. Invoking, generating sacred circle, so we may create a holy vessel in the spiritual, astral and material dimensions to receive and hold influxes of the Sefirot; or we may ‘open a portal,’ or form a ‘channel way,’ through which influxes are brought into this world from the heavens and the Pleroma of Light (Atzilut).

These are a few things it is given that I may share with you today concerning mysteries of invoking the sacred circle.

O Holy One, I bless You and I bless Your Name, and pray that many living spirits and souls might be ingathered this day, be blessed by Your Holy Shekinah, the way of the Great Ascension being opened before them - all in You, Atoh! Amen.

Shalom Aleichem!

Grace and peace to you in Hayyah Yeshua, the Risen Messiah!

There is something more to be said of the invocation of sacred circle as taught in the Christian Kabbalah. As we know, Malkut is called the Holy Land, and also Zion, and in the Messiah wherever an Anointed Tzaddik abides, or wherever two or more gather in the Blessed Name, there in that place is the Holy Land. In a similar fashion Sacred Tau have said that wherever the sacred circle is invoked, generated, there is Zion - the ‘holy hill of Yahweh,’ the ‘temple mount.’ The holy temple, dwelling, of course, is the human being in whom the Messiah and Holy Spirit dwells, through whom the sacred circle is invoked and made manifest - this unveiling of the Divine Presence, Holy Shekinah, in that place.

Do understand, invoking the Holy Shekinah, or the Sacred Circle, at the outset the Holy Shekinah is already within you and surrounding you on all sides, already in that place, but, in effect, she is ‘veiled,’ or a non-manifest potential, and when invoked she is ‘unveiled,’ the greater glory and power of the Holy Shekinah being unveiled, or actualized and realized, and therefore manifest.

Receiving our anointing from heaven and God as human beings it is given that we invoke and pray on behalf of all creatures and creation, and that we worship God in spirit and truth, and seek to embody the fullness of the Holy Shekinah, Holy Spirit; among mystics and gnostics when we invoke and pray we are to do so in oneness, not twoness, in faith and knowledge of our innate oneness with the Divine Presence, Holy Shekinah, or with the Messiah in God Most High. This, of course, is the foundation of all actions of divine theurgy, wonderworking, and invocations of the sacred circle; they begin with ‘union with Holy Partzuf’ - a Divine personification - or a merging with the Divine Presence, Holy Shekinah. Thus, invoking the sacred circle initiates invoke as the Holy Partzuf or Divine Presence, assuming the form of the Holy Partzuf in their body of light, or body of glory.

Essentially, arising as the Holy Partzuf - Human Being of Light - is an arising in the image and likeness of the Eternal God (Yahweh Elohim), and quite naturally in a likeness to archangels and angels, and the appearance of souls in the heavens, and as we know on a spiritual and metaphysical level likeness, resemblance, similitude, is nearness, attractiveness and brings into intimate resonance, communion and oneness. Understand, the greater the generation of the body of light, the greater the manifestation of the image and likeness of heaven and God in us, the greater the action of the Divine Presence, Holy Shekinah, Holy Spirit, with, in and through us, and as us, and therefore the greater the power of our invocations and prayers.

Indeed, when in conscious union with God, the Divine Presence, then it may be that the Divine Presence invokes the Divine Presence, God prays to God, just as was witnessed with our Firstborn Brother, Yeshua Messiah.

There is something of an open secret known to adepts and masters of the Magical Kabbalah, one that many of us glimpse in moments of power in sacred ceremony when an Anointed Tzaddik or Sacred Tau invokes the sacred circle; on those occasions what we often see and feel is that, all in a great mystery, the sacred circle is like an extension of their Body of Glory, and more so, as much as the various divine and heavenly beings appear to come from outside of them as they invoke, so also they appear to emanate from within them. Essentially, inner space and outer space merge and become one vast spaciousness in the Divine Presence, Holy Shekinah, and this is a natural and spontaneous revelation of the Body of Glory and Body of Emanation arising from the Body of Truth - conscious unification with the Messiah and the One Soul, within which are all creatures and creation, the heavens and worlds of creation, and the Pleroma of Light. This supernal realization, of course, is an integral part of the intention of gnostic initiates invoking the sacred circle - the unification of inner and outer space and the realization of the Absolute Oneness of God Most High (El Elyon, Eheieh).

It is through the realization of oneness, conscious union, and the innate oneness of all with the Infinite and Eternal One, that the tikkune of The Name is accomplished, and the reality of God and The Name of God - Yahweh - being One on earth is manifest; hence, ‘the kingdom of heaven being manifest on earth as it is in heaven,’ or ‘the kingdom of heaven coming near.’

As you might imagine, the greater the realization of this truth of the Oneness of God, this Oneness with and in God, the greater the manifestation of knowledge and power to bring about shifts in the continuum and matrix of spiritual beings-forces within and behind what appears and transpires in this world; indeed, for in the realization of Oneness it is God’s knowledge and power, and the force of God’s will that is manifest with us, God being the seeing, hearing and feeling, smelling, tasting and touching, the speaking and all actions.

In this regard we may contemplate what Adonai Yeshua said of himself, ‘I do nothing of myself, but I do what I see the Father doing.’

As you might also imagine, through invocations of the sacred circle a faithful and spiritual person may actually become able to see and know that God is in all things, and understand that all things are as ‘veils’ and ‘faces’ of the Infinite and Eternal One.

The ascension of the soul through the various stations and this Self-realization in Messiah does not take place through our own efforts alone, but rather it is through Divine Grace in Messiah Yeshua, the Shekinah of the Messiah - the Holy Light and Spirit - that was and is imparted to us through him and the Living Body of Messiah - Anointed Community. For our part we study and practice the way of mystical invocation and prayer, and we engage in an active and dynamic surrender to Divine Grace, the Holy Shekinah, seeking to sojourn in the Straight Path, and seeking to move with the Holy Shekinah, Holy Spirit, all as God ordains, all as God wills.

May Supernal Grace pour out upon many living spirits and souls this day, and receiving their anointing with the Holy Light and Spirit, may many be gathered into the Sanctuary of Grace, and be established in the Great Ascension! Amen.

Shalom Aleichem!

That hit me!, Casting a circle can be perfunctory , seen in that way an intimate profound metamorphosis and communion. And some how a living squaring of the circle came to mind. I know that might sound flippant as it's a phrase in currency among spiritual.schools. But I can really see a sense of how it might apply to this living integrative process of the circle.
